We would like an addition on the back of our Halifax home. This addition would be comprised of two rooms, a 3 pc bath and bedroom. The add-on area in total will be approx. 200 sq/feet (1 level). Our home is an older home (renovated is 2000) and there is deck on the home that would need to be removed to make way for the neww addition. The back yard is flat land with no obstructions.
Add an 18x23 addition to a 100 year old house on the Peninsula. Want a full basement plus 2 stories. Will need to match the shingles of the existing structure. Need to tear down a piece of the house on the back (small 1 story room on a slab) to make way for the new addition. Existing roof is almost flat - has a slight pitch. Looking for a quote to build the new addition to the stage where it is weather tight. Also need blueprints made.
Our home is very old and is about 22X44. We are going to lift the house about 8 feet up, pour a full foundation under it, and set our house back on top of the foundation. About 6 to 7 feet of the new basement must be above ground when finished. We are going to need new windows and doors for the new basement, to make it look like a split-entry home after the new siding is put on the whole house. Inside we will need a new entry way with a landing, and stairs to go up to the existing house and down to the new basement. Basically we want to make our bungalow into a split-entry home. We need to lift the house because it needs a new foundation anyways and we figure this is the easiest way to make our home bigger, which we really need...more space.
Our basement stair case takes up too much of the space needed for us to otherwise use for a remodeled kitchen. We would like to build out to provide for the stair case and additional storage/pantry etc.
The project will require cutting into existing concrete basement wall, concrete form work and framing
I am buying a house and would like to get an idea what the cost of a two story addition would be.
The project would be to add on a bedroom and expand the foyer in the front of the house - ground level - and also extend the master ensuite upstairs and create a walk in closet.
I have worked renovations for a few years and would be doing all the finishing work.
SO, what would you quote me to add a 20 x 15 ft, two story extension. This includes foundation, framing, roof, electrical and will require beaming most of the 20ft span on the ground level but not upstairs.
No plumbing changes are required.
I can install the doors and windows, siding, floors, and all other finishings.
