I am looking to reno my basement bathroom. New ceramic floor, toilet, vanity, paint, standup shower with tile and some drywall. We had to rip out the old bathtub as there was mold behind it so would need new mold resistant drywall put up. Would like a price as well as a timeframe on how long it would take.
Hi, We are planning to finish our basement to an apartment with 1 bedroom, bathroom(rough in already there) and kitchen, and we wanted to keep other side of the basement to ourself. We wanted to enlarge the windows. Right now we don't have any side entrance, we would like to get that too. No excavation needed.
We also wanted to get our upstair bathroom renovated. We wanted to add laundry.
Our budget is $35000 for the basement and the bathroom upstairs.
The basement is in a 30 year old semi, I have just about managed to remove most of the old basement and have done the plumbing to move the bathroom from one side to the other. Due to an increased work load not much is being done right now and would like to see it finished. I have purchased the shower, vanity and toilet along wiht the pot lights and shower hardware. I am not looking for fancy but am looking for functional. The deminsions are 33x16 with a furnace in the middle. There is no need to paint or carpet.

We need the following jobs completed in our Basement:
1. Upgrade of the existing older fuse box to a new 200 amp switch panel / box
2. Build / Install a 3-piece bathroom (see below for further details)
3. Build 3-4 walls of varying sizes (with electrical outlets built-in)
4. Install special outlet for an electric oven as well as connect oven vent to existing vent
5. Upgrade the existing sink in the "kitchen area" to a kitchen sink and rearrange the washer & dryer
The basement is Finished.
The area we have chosen for the bathroom has a waste "stack", however the main drain is approximately 6-8 metres away (we have been recommended to either cut into the concrete floor or use a raised floor) and hot/cold water plumbing will need to be added/connected to the existing system to provide water for the bathroom.
Thank you for considering this project and please reach out should you have any questions.

I live in Ajax. Any quotes will be very helpful as the contractor I agreed with is not available anymore and this work was suppose to begin on Monday. The room is 69" by 67". I have purchased the sink, vanity, faucets, and toilet for a bathroom. I need a bathroom in my basement. It will be 15 feet away from the main stack and toilet and shower positioned on the outside walls. The room is already framed and drywalled but not with mold resistant drywall for a bathroom. Electrical is in but has to be moved. The shower is to be suppied, built with tiles and will be 48" by 36". The floor is still concrete and needs to be finished with tiles.
My budget is around $8000.00 inclusive.
We have gutted the bathroom down to the studs - have put in insulation and vapour barrier. We have bought tub (which is now off center) not sure if we need a new one or not, have toilet and vanity and drywall already. Would like someone to come and complete the bathroom so we can use it again. The bathroom is not big at all approx 7'x5'.
We require our bathroom to be remodeled. The washroom is approximately 4x8. We wish to have everything replaced with the exception of the toilet and the vanity. So, this would include the floor, walls in the tub/surround area, tub and surround, baseboards, fixtures and installation of ventilation.
I need a bathroom renovation including replacement of tub and shower doors, new vanity countertop, painting of existing vanity, some wall tile installation, tearing up of old vinyl flooring, repairing flooring underneath and installing new floor tiles, painting of non-tiled walls and ceiling, installation of vent to exterior, installation of new faucets, etc. Room size is approximately 30-40 sf.
We recently discovered a small watermark on the ceiling of our living, adjacent to our bathtub drain. We cut a hole in our ceiling and realized that the bathtub drain pipe was leaking. We also cut two holes in the wall adjacent to the bathtub piping (in our bedroom upstairs) to gain access to the piping. We have noticed that there is a hole in the bathtub and quite a bit of rust. We will need to replace the bathtub as well as the tiles and repair the holes in the wall and ceiling. Of course, the pipe where there is a leak will need to be replaced as well.
We are located in Ajax and our house is approximately 22-24 years old. We have owned the house for 2 years and while we plan on redoing the roof, the main floor bathroom as well as building a bathroom and a room in the basement, no renovations have been done as of yet. The house has been relatively well maintained - aside from an older furnace and roof, it completely passed inspection (through Pillar and Post) almost 2 years ago when we bought it.
We are looking for a contractor/business who is licensed, who has all of their insurance documentation, who comes with references and who is well established to do a quality job - we see our home as an investement and we want to do it right the first time. We are unsure about the materials we want - this was an unplanned discovery.
I would to renovate the bathroom ,the work to be done:
1- replacing the Tub
2- replacing the vanity
3- replacing toilet seat
4- removingand putting floor tiles / wall tiles
5- Installing a fan
6- replacing the electrical outlet
7- putting new accessories
the area in question is 2.50 m x 2.20 m
Thanks
Tile surrounding tub & ceiling with light, new board behind tile, new toilet (like toto), tub (with enclosed tile frame), shower doors (eco glass), vanity, tile floor and light fixtures. Like polished chrome but have not decided on any particular brand names yet. Ceiling fan has been installed last year. House built in 1961, bathroom has been cosmetically changed, replaced toilet and sink but original vanity & bathtub. Sorry, no time to add pictures.
Good day. Am looking to get the bathroom countertops and sinks in my ensuite bathroom, 2nd floor bathroom, and 1st floor powder room replaced. Dimensions of each countertop vary and regarding preferred materials, I am open to suggestions (depending on durability and price). I am the property owner (in conjunction with spouse).
Problem:
A 5x4.6 foot rectangular area of sub floor around shower, needs to be replaced due to water damage from a leaking shower drain. This house does not have a basement but, rather a crawl space with 2.6 feet of height. Am looking to replace sub floor, move drain to accommodate a shower stall and re-tile area. I have pulled the insulation exposing the limits of the water damage.
I am a senior on a fixed income but, am not able to tackle this job myself.
Thank you for your kind attention
Gordon
Hi
So I had a bathroom reno which was done very poorly. I had new floor tiling which was fine but retiled a standup shower which kept leaking. Water was leaking into my dining room. They took out the drywall to find the leak and they still couldn't find it. I called Mr Rooter and he fixed the leak. So what I am looking for is my stand up shower to be retiled and my popcorn ceiling dry walled. There is about 5 feet by 3 feet taken out of my ceiling, so I would just need that replaced.
I am really looking for someone who is not crazy expensive and won't take a lot of time.
I am really hoping to see some photo's and hopefully get some references. I don't really want to go through this again.
I am the owner of a Condo in the Ajax area. I want to renovate my kitchen which means replacing flooring, cabinets, countertop, sink and back splash. I also want to replace flooring, cabinets, sinks, mirrors etc. in both bathrooms. I will need to get approval from the Board by submitting quote for approval. Electrical and plumbing have to be done by licensed professionals. Depending on quote, I may do all three projects or one at a time.
Two bathrooms and Kitchen complete gut. May want to replace tub in one bathroom with shower stall - to be discussed. One bathroom has irregular shaped counter top and may require custom. Bathrooms need tub and tile, vanity and top, mirrors and floors. One bathroom needs toilet replace. Kitchen requires flooring, cabinets, counter, sink and back splash.
Also have smaller jobs to install closet hall door and baseboards. Please quote on any or all jobs.
Estimate has to be reviewed by condo board for approval prior to starting work.

Small wartime bungalow (crawlspace) with 2 story addition (with basement) on back. Currently is Electric Baseboard and Electric Hot Water. Just purchased and want to covert to forced air gas + air conditioning and instant gas hot water. Gas meter is on house and run to gas fireplace. Crawlspace accessible to run main-floor HVAC and hall closet can accommodate trunk to second floor. I suspect $10,000 - $15,000
One full bathroom to redo (will gut to studs) I suspect $3,000 - $5,000
Will be removing all carpet and possibly refinishing original (60 years one owner) hardwood
Closing date mid August but can get in to do quote in advance on all or part.
Hi the house itself is about 4-5 years old and am on a very limited budget, we have a huge 1100 sq.ft basement that is insulated, we wanted to have the frames, drywall and paint, may be have the boiler in a room to itself, the electrical panel in its own casing. A full bahroom set up and an under the stairs room for storing food with shelves and lots of shelves and doors to get in.... perhaps some spotlights and electrical outlet in the basement and definitely carpetted and a door to walk out of the basement to the backyard. We have 4 children and we both work full time which give us very little time to kinda of do it ourselves.
If my project will be within my budget I will definitely do it.
The kitchen need backsplash and we need to change all the countertops.
I need a quote for a custom glass shower door to be installed. Shower doorway dimensions are 28.5" x 75". Marble door jams (they are plum and leveled). The glass door will obviously not be the full height of the door. This needs to be installed before April 25. Serious replies only, will pay cash
Thank You
