One air duct on the second floor of a newly contructed residential home constantly makes snapping and popping sounds and needs to be replaced with a sient, perhaps flexible, insulated air duct. The floor is carpeted with plywood underneath.
A contractor is needed who can do the complete job from beginning to end of removing the air duct and replace it with a new one, and who can also ensure that all flooring, drywalling (if necessary) is replaced if cutting of the floor board or drywall is necessary.
It seems like the temperature on the second floor (mainly my daughter's room) is cooler than the rest of the house. Her room is over the front porch, which has spray foam insulation. This is a 4 year old house (built by Monarch) and just wondering if I should be concerned by this. If the rest of the house is 23 degrees, the upstairs is 21 - 23 depending on the outside weather.
