Bathroom is approximately 10'6 "x 9'9". We require:
- removal of existing vanity, toilet, neo-angle shower, built-in jacuzzi tub and vinyl sheet flooring.
- installation of new vanity, toilet, shower, free standing tub and vinyl tiles. (Same floor plan.)
- add two new lights (to each side of mirror)
- repair walls when tile and built-in tub are removed
- possibly move toilet approximately 6"
- shower: we may purchase kit that includes glass doors, acrylic walls and acrylic base. Size will be 40" x 32". Alternately, we may choose to have walls tiled and use the glass doors and acrylic base.
We are the owners.
Thank you.
I have two full bathrooms to renovate (one include a shower only and the other one a bath tub). One of them is a smaller space and the other one is medium sized, and the job will include changing shower / tub, changing vanities, sinks and faucets, replacing tiling, potentially flooring and may also involve some wall renovations.
Skills required will be at the minimum plumbing (to take out and replace the shower and the bath tub), tiling (removing it all around the bath, including the ceiling, and replacing it all plus also adding some tiling around the vanity), plastering/repairing, priming and painting walls and maybe, depending on the final design, replacing the floors (one is currently tiles the other one is hard wood).
I own the house.
Replace a jacuzzi tub. Current tub is 35" x 64". In upstairs bathroom. Pump failed and cannot be repaired. Pump replacement is apparently not an option as it may have been installed when the house was built in 1985.
Looking for an air flow tub if possible.
Recommendation and ball park estimate at this point with possible inspection date to be set.
Thanks, Sandy
Powder Room (small job)
Redo or replace vanity and sink so it is 2 inched higher and modernized. 46 inch wall to wall
Remove wallpaper, repair and paint walls 46 by 48 inches square.
Install exhaust fan. Install new light. Install new fan.
Install new toilet.
Ensuite (large job)
2nd floor remove everything, lights, ceiling box with lights, toilet, large bright red fully functioning whirlpool bath tub, 36 inch by 36 inch standup shower, 58 inch single sink vanity.
Partially take down interior wall between walk in closet and ensuite. Change shape of closet from a long rectangle from door to outside wall to a wide rectangle from door to new ensuite wall. Build tile and glass shower in freed up space, replumb and move toilet, replace vanity single sink modern, install mirror and new lights. Install exhaust fan.
Have less than $30,000 including purchasing fixtures.
My ensuite has a tiled 67 in by 34 in bathtub. The bathtub itself is just a standard size bathtub but including the tiling around three sides of the bathtub; the entire set up is 67 in by 34 in. From floor to top of bathtub height, there is 19 in of tiling. Along 3 sides of the wall where the bathtub sits beneath a window, there is 12 in of tiling. Yes there is a window which I still want to keep and I need to have it protected from water damage as well as ideas to display it nicely within the shower.
Here are my two options (but of course, always willing to listen to the experts):
1. Keep the bathroom tub and build a shower in the tub or with the tub.
2. Take the entire bathroom tub out and put in a shower in the space left without the tub.
I would really appreciate an estimate based upon what I have said. I know that it still doesn't describe every detail of what it could turn out to be or what could be involved. Again, would appreciate your professional advice.
