My husband and I are looking to get some work done in our townhouse: new flooring throughout the main floor and a new backsplash in our kitchen. We have a small townhouse, roughly 1000 sq ft. The floor space needing new flooring is about 300 sq ft. The kitchen is a small 10x10 kitchen.
We are interested in getting a quote to understand what our costs will be. We already have flooring picked out and are ready to purchase. We are sourcing all of the materials ourselves, minus the supplies such as grout, screws, etc.
We are also considering getting a new countertop and sink, but are not 100% decided on that yet so the flooring and backsplash are our first priority. Depending on the cost of that, we might consider the countertop and sink.
You can send me an email back or give me a call.
Hi Paul, I found you on trusted pros. I have some work to do in my Barrie home:
1. Install engineered bamboo click flooring (but I think I will opt for the glued down method). About 2200 Square feet. I have the flooring in my garage right now. I will bring it in to climatize if need be.
2. Install new baseboards (paint, dap edges and nail holes). No quarter-round.
3. Install new hardwood stair thingies and Stain to match or with a complementary colour.
4. Stain/or install new pickets and sand and stain hand rails on stairs.
5. Tile the entrance way and + 2.5 bathrooms (porcelain tile).
6. Flooring prep work. I can rip up and dump old flooring, but probably not the detailed prep.
I'm looking to get a quote for the flooring we are looking to get done in a bungalow. We are looking at removing everything from the main floor (excluding main floor bathroom) and then putting it some tile in the entry way and laminate all throughout the upstairs. We are hoping to start the project on June 1 or 2. We would also be doing the stairs to the basement (which are carpet). Let me know what measurements and what information you need.
I have a link the the images for the current flooring types.

We are taking possession of a new home in December. We will need Hardwood installed some time between December 14th to 17th. According to my measurements we will need 1780 square feet of flooring installed. Flooring will be provided. Experienced hardwood installers only. Looking for an estimate on per square foot of install. Floor will be 4.5 or 5 inches wide. Either Black Walnut or Hard Maple.
I have a living room and dining room that I need hardwood installed. It is LM by Laurentian flooring. It's 7 inches wide and 1/2 an inch think, engineered hardwood. The two rooms together are roughly 400 square feet in total. I really would like it installed mid next week, if possible.
I do not want to spend an excessive amount of money because I know I will be selling - this fix up is strictly to help me sell the house.
It is a row townhouse - 18 years old; main level is about 1,195 sq. ft.
I would like to install laminate flooring throughout main floor (including removal of current carpet).
Also, basement was not professionally down and needs major work. What i would like to have in basement if possible is: new drywall throughout, separation area for washer and dryer and the bathroom is in bad shape, some type of inexpensive flooring.
Nothing fancy, but presentable.
If you could give me an idea of possible cost it would be appreciated (I understand an on-site visit would provide me with a more accurate quote) - right now I just need an idea of cost I'm looking at.
Remove carpet, dispose of it and install the most economical laminate flooring. Estimated area is about 1000 square feet and located in Barrie. There are about 12 steps. For now just rough estimate is required. House is about 16 years old and will be available for onsite quotation week of 8th of June.
My wife and I are looking into installing an unfinished hickory flooring, and are looking for an installer in the Barrie area with the experience to instal, sand and finish the flooring. The carpets, baseboards, underlayment, and staples will be removed. The job it self will consist of 900-1000 sq/ft on the main floor including; 3 bedrooms (and their closets) the hallway and two closets, as well as living/dining room. 4 transitions, and one stair nosing into to the basement. We are looking for a low natural sheen. If your company can provide this service please let us know the estimate per square foot.
Thank you for your time.
I have a project for laminate and tile to be done in mid august. It is a century home being converted to a daycare. Insulation and drywall will be done along with the painting. The building is located on Innisfil Beach Rd, south of Barrie. It is a very clean site, the laminate is approximately 3000 sq ft on two floors(main and upper) about 10 rooms plus under pad.
The tile is approximately 800 sq ft, 4 rooms total. 2 small bathrooms and two entrances, One entrance is 300 sq ft and the other at 250 sq ft. the two entrances are on concrete pads.
Please let me know of the prices on install per square foot on both.
Hi there, my wife and I purchased some 12 mm laminate to put down throughout our upstairs (approx 600 sq ft) with the intention of working away at laying it myself room by room but it's been an unexpectedly busy year with two small kids and I haven't touched it. I'm looking to clear this job off my plate and hoping you're able to help me out. I indicated asap as the start date but we're somewhat flexible. Hope to hear from you soon.
We have a townhouse with tile in the kitchen and hall, hardwood in the family room. it is fairly open concept, about 410 square feet. We are looking for quotes to have the flooring installation done. We are planning to get laminate flooring from costco. I would like it glued down in the kitchen due to potential water damage, but I believe it is snap and lock flooring. The house is about 15 years old. We have a powder room attached to the hall which is tile. If possible we would like to maintain that flooring. A breakdown would be appreciated as we would consider doing some of the work (preparation) ourselves if it will save us money. Also we have a piano on the main floor that would need to be moved to replace the flooring under it.
We need a basic quote of installation of Hardwood and Laminate flooring for these centres. They range in SQFT and therefore we are looking for an estimate on COST/SQFT or COST/HR for installing this flooring. We would also like to know if this cost includes removal and disposal of the carpet that is currently in these spaces.
Thanks so much
Hi my name is Sue and I am disabled, but I am looking to have some work done as I am not able to do it on my own and I will soon be having a stairlift put it. My stairs are presently bare with presswood or partical board as we had to remove the carpet due to it being ripped up by our cats etc. and mainly because I am not able to vacuum them each and every day so I'm looking for something that's easy to take care of and also for the 4 rooms upstairs where the carpet has to be removed and replaced with something other than carpet....I have posted below any information I can give you in regards to the stairs so you have an idea of what would be best to do...
~ The stairs themselves which I believe to be press board are unfinished and not smooth
~ The staircase has 13 stairs in total with 7 being straight across and 5 or possibly 6 are curved at the top
~ Each stair has 2 spindles
and as mentioned I will be having a stair lift installed and they don't have a preference to what the stairs are made of.
I also am enquiring about having the hallway and 4 other rooms to be done in laminate but have to have the carpet removed before hand, and also require help on the main level of my home to replace base boards and also door frames as I did have the floors on that level done in laminate by a family member but they were not able to finish it.
** One room upstairs is one that has pet urine which has gone through to the press board and I have been told that there is a paint of some sort that they use for mold and can also be used to cover up the smell of urine, but you may know of another solution.
Thanking you in advance for your advice and help and perhaps a quote of what this may cost by someone who is experienced in this field.
