My wife and I are looking into installing an unfinished hickory flooring, and are looking for an installer in the Barrie area with the experience to instal, sand and finish the flooring. The carpets, baseboards, underlayment, and staples will be removed. The job it self will consist of 900-1000 sq/ft on the main floor including; 3 bedrooms (and their closets) the hallway and two closets, as well as living/dining room. 4 transitions, and one stair nosing into to the basement. We are looking for a low natural sheen. If your company can provide this service please let us know the estimate per square foot.
Thank you for your time.
Marc
I need 2 floors done, and I'm hoping the same person can do both.
LAMINATE: In a basement. There is currently laminate there, but I have it to be replaced. Flooring is purchased, but not underlay. Area is approx 450 sq.ft. (likely a little smaller).
CERAMIC: In a bathroom. Want to replace what's currently there, as it wasn't well done the first time. Area is no more than 100 sq.ft (likely smaller).
Contact me with quotes (e-mail, please), if possible, or we can arrange a time to come see it.
I have a project for laminate and tile to be done in mid august. It is a century home being converted to a daycare. Insulation and drywall will be done along with the painting. The building is located on Innisfil Beach Rd, south of Barrie. It is a very clean site, the laminate is approximately 3000 sq ft on two floors(main and upper) about 10 rooms plus under pad.
The tile is approximately 800 sq ft, 4 rooms total. 2 small bathrooms and two entrances, One entrance is 300 sq ft and the other at 250 sq ft. the two entrances are on concrete pads.
Please let me know of the prices on install per square foot on both.
Thanks,
Steve
Hi there, my wife and I purchased some 12 mm laminate to put down throughout our upstairs (approx 600 sq ft) with the intention of working away at laying it myself room by room but it's been an unexpectedly busy year with two small kids and I haven't touched it. I'm looking to clear this job off my plate and hoping you're able to help me out. I indicated asap as the start date but we're somewhat flexible. Hope to hear from you soon.
Matt
Family Room is 15' wide X 25.5' long. We would like to install 12mm laminate flooring and cover the popcorn ceiling with white bead board. Current carpeting and under pad will need to be removed and disposed of. We are currently thinking of the 12 mm Beringer Oak laminate from Lowe's $1.99 per square foot together with appropriate underlay. Not sure where to get bead board from.
We have a townhouse with tile in the kitchen and hall, hardwood in the family room. it is fairly open concept, about 410 square feet. We are looking for quotes to have the flooring installation done. We are planning to get laminate flooring from costco. I would like it glued down in the kitchen due to potential water damage, but I believe it is snap and lock flooring. The house is about 15 years old. We have a powder room attached to the hall which is tile. If possible we would like to maintain that flooring. A breakdown would be appreciated as we would consider doing some of the work (preparation) ourselves if it will save us money. Also we have a piano on the main floor that would need to be moved to replace the flooring under it.
We need a basic quote of installation of Hardwood and Laminate flooring for these centres. They range in SQFT and therefore we are looking for an estimate on COST/SQFT or COST/HR for installing this flooring. We would also like to know if this cost includes removal and disposal of the carpet that is currently in these spaces.
Thanks so much
Hi my name is Sue and I am disabled, but I am looking to have some work done as I am not able to do it on my own and I will soon be having a stairlift put it. My stairs are presently bare with presswood or partical board as we had to remove the carpet due to it being ripped up by our cats etc. and mainly because I am not able to vacuum them each and every day so I'm looking for something that's easy to take care of and also for the 4 rooms upstairs where the carpet has to be removed and replaced with something other than carpet....I have posted below any information I can give you in regards to the stairs so you have an idea of what would be best to do...
~ The stairs themselves which I believe to be press board are unfinished and not smooth
~ The staircase has 13 stairs in total with 7 being straight across and 5 or possibly 6 are curved at the top
~ Each stair has 2 spindles
and as mentioned I will be having a stair lift installed and they don't have a preference to what the stairs are made of.
I also am enquiring about having the hallway and 4 other rooms to be done in laminate but have to have the carpet removed before hand, and also require help on the main level of my home to replace base boards and also door frames as I did have the floors on that level done in laminate by a family member but they were not able to finish it.
** One room upstairs is one that has pet urine which has gone through to the press board and I have been told that there is a paint of some sort that they use for mold and can also be used to cover up the smell of urine, but you may know of another solution.
Thanking you in advance for your advice and help and perhaps a quote of what this may cost by someone who is experienced in this field.
