I am looking to get quotes on tiling a bathroom in granite about 40 square feet, facing a fireplace in stone from floor to ceiling with a mantel and also, building and staining a removable wood enclosure for a corner soaker tub to match the vanity. We are considering selling and relocating. We would like this to be done as soon as possible.
Thanks

This job is only available to carpenters/handymen in Barrie or 10 km outside of Barrie.
Create 'interior' walls, U shape configuration for a trade show booth;
This needs to be stable without fastening to anything (i.e. screwed to floor or outside wall).
the booth is 8' x 8' - there will be 3x (8' x 8') sides to the booth;
I envision using 8' x 4' drywall mounted landscape using no mud on the seams - instead chair rails/trim to cover;
in corners some type of corner molding;
NOTE:
- no cutting in the trade show hall;
- cutting and preparation can be made in your shop on feb 28 (thurs) or before 10am March 1st;
- assembly must be March 1st between 12p & 2pm;
If you are available for this - pls call or email with an idea of cost and your ability to suit our time lines.
Thanks
We are removing old canopy from our plaza. Then we have to give height to plaza and need parapet increase by 3 feet. We need completed framing work and secure that in the roof by bolts as per drawing. Please contact me for more detail. Job is in Barrie
Job will include EW2 framing, Paripit framing and flashing.
A car crashed into the center column of a dual garage home. The work needing to be done is as follows from what I can assess.
The center wall needs to be put back to the center. The brick needs to be re pointed. The garage tracks might need to be replaced if they are too bent to return to normal traction. The whole front of the garage has to realign straight with the lintel above the garage doors being reset to it's original position.
Roughly 18x22 garage. will need the pad + footings. 1 side entrance door, vinyl siding, insulated, fascia, sofits, 1 window (sized of a normal everyday single hung style, nothing major or fancy) gable roof, singled and gutters. Would like to get away with stick framing instead of engineered trusses. Need it big enough to fit tote bins in for added storage, say 4-5' from the middle to peak of roof.
Basement entrance will need to be covered with an entrance way. Vinyl or stucco siding will do. Build to height of the door to enter the entrance, and slopped backwards towards road.
Looking for estimates right now, and building in the near future. Just want an idea of what I would be looking at.
In the current part of our house we are looking for a renovated bathroom and living room, new insulation, deck. Also looking to add a addition including a double car garage with living quarters above, also a new driveway would be needed. Fairly large Reno. Would like to meet to go over plans/ideas and quotes.

I have a double size garage with two garage doors at the front and one at the back which is used for some parking and some of the space for workshop. My dilemma is that I want to start using the workshop year round so I need to consider insulating the walls closing off the loft that goes up to the peak of the roof and putting insulation along the exposed walls possibly cutting in a window for light In addition I would like to have some way of drainage for when cars are parked so that they are raised slightly above the concrete and snow and other messy material could then drip down to the concrete and drain off so that it doesn't melt into the workshop area. Alternately the workshop area could have slightly raised floor which might be simpler. The workshop doesn't need to be fancy or finished in a highly decorated way insulation vapour barrier and primed wallboard. the flooring solution is another main concern. If there is a good way to temporarily seal off the lofted storage area of the garage so that heat loss isn't a problem it may be as simple as laying A plywood layer across the beams and lastly a heat source that would need to be vented out the wall likely a small woodstove or pellet stove or ethanol heater. I'm open to ideas but want to keep this project very budget friendly as the primary objective is simply to keep it warm enough to work in there. I would like to have this project done in October or as soon as someone is available thereafter. I am welcoming 4-5 bids. Tx. Painters please do not bid I have already had one such contact me and I do not need it professionally painted thank you.
There is a removal of an existing wood burning chimney. Not bricked. Two windows are adjacent to the chimney and one will become an entrance door that leads to a basement entrance. Framing of walls, small electrical project and installation of staircase and interior doors, drywall and mud.
All finishing work is to be completed by another contractor. I have all materials on site including scaffolding. I also have engineer drawings for the staircase.
I am really in a bind with this one. I had hired a contractor through a friend and he ended up completely bailing on our project. He came in one day to pull down all the drywall then left never to be seen again. I have small children and this is quite a health concern. I am now stuck with a big mess and trying to scramble to find help.
I am looking to sell my house (approx. 1400 sq. ft.) and need to get some things done to make it more marketable.
Most of the home needs a fresh coat of paint - family room on main floor, three bedrooms upstairs (2 - 9x9 & 1 - 12x14), stairwell & upstairs hallways as well as all baseboards & door frames.
I also have a kitchen cupboard with a hole in it that needs to be repaired. If this is not possible, I would prefer to have my kitchen cupboards (preferably only upper cupboards, if possible) refaced rather than replaced.
I may also require some finishing touches in my basement. It is mostly finished but the stand up shower is not completed - needs hardware. I also need a portion of the floor to be completed (approx. 6x8)in laminate preferably.
Lastly, most of my backyard is interlock and needs to be freshened up. The limestone has given way over the years so it needs to be repacked, mostly along the edges, in some areas and the stones need to be settled back in.

Hello,
I am looking for a quote on a kitchen renovation. Would be looking to get a load bearing wall removed in the kitchen and replaced with a column or a beam.
I think it would be best to have someone come out and access the site and see what is possible and what the potential options are.
In the attached picture you will notice there are light switches and a thermostat already on the wall. I understand this makes it more difficult but am hopeful it is possible to work around these.
If you need any other info for this job please let me know.
Thank you!
Presently have a stack able washer/dryer. Wish to replace with a side by side washer/dryer. Removal of laundry tub and install a wall to wall counter top with a sink (replacing laundry tub). Install cupboards above.
Job would require removal of existing wash/dryer, laundry tub and cupboard, and installation of new items,.Not sure if existing plumbing hook-ups compatible
We would like to re-do/replace our ceiling in the living/dining rooms. Currently it is popcorn stucco. We would like a flat ceiling. Also, we would like all areas mentioned above painted. We are interested in crown moulding and baseboards as well.
Do you refinish hardwood floors?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
Nancy
