This is a 1960's bungalow with one main bathroom and a two piece in the basement. I think the pipe from the hot water tank is leaking when it is used - not a major leak but needs addressed. Bathroom is above the leak.
Main bathroom is a gut and replace job - eventually so is the basement.
Would like an estimate for bathroom and basement reno.
-Remove existing stand-up shower + fix and inspect pipes etc. around shower due to a leak
-Convert existing tub into a large walk-in shower (with small 1 inch curb) with new tiles and move existing shower head and faucet to opposite wall and build small bench with built in alcove for storage
-Replace existing toilet
-Replace floor tiles
-Replace and extend existing vanity with two slim cabinets on each end including adding one more sink. Wall that vanity is on needs to be tiled with herring bone tile (rest of bathroom drywall and painted.
-Add 6 new pot lights (two in shower) plus lights over vanity on wall
-Add a new exhaust fan (do not have one currently)
-Waterproof entire bathroom floor
Hi. We are currently looking to renovate our main washroom. There is currently no ceiling exhaust fan so we have a mould issue. Dry wall will need to be removed and replaced on one side. We would like an exhaust fan installed. We would also like to have our tub/shower removed and replaced with a bathtub surround (including ceiling). We have already replaced our toilet and I'm not sure if we will do anything the old vanity at this point. Perhaps maybe just a new sink. We are looking for quotes for the work described. Because this is our main washroom and only shower, please also advise how long this reno will take.
Thank you!
Angela
WE ARE LOOKING AT RENOVATING OUR EXISTING MASTER BATHROOM. MOST CERTAINLY THE SHOWER NEEDS TO BE UPGRADED BECAUSE IT MAY BE LEAKING INTO THE FLOOR CAUSING FURTHER DAMAGE. ALSO, THE QUOTE SHOULD INCLUDE FURTHER RENO SUCH AS NEW FLOORING, SINK, TOILET, ETC... QUALITY AND PRICE ARE OF PARAMOUNT CONCERN.
We have a long, L shaped bathroom that is very much typical 80's style. We would like to replace it with a larger glassed in shower, a free standing soaker or possibly air tub, a new vanity with a second sink, new floor tiles, a ceiling vent, heated floor. Fixtures would locate as they are now but new plumbing would be needed for extra sink. Porcelain tiles with some glass accent tiles. Cabinetry with lots of drawers and a linen cupboard. Size of bathroom is about 14' long and about 10' wide at the window end. Narrower at the door end.
I require a professional bathroom contractor for a Master Bathroom repair.
I have a tub ceiling that is presently starting to bubble with moisture after showers with signs of possible mould.
I need a quote and a start date to
1. fix this
2. install a shower pot-light
Please reply with pictures of previous work and referrals.

My constructor left me halfway on this project. Some final finishing for electrical, flooring, plumbing and drywall to be done.
The major part of work remaining is potty, painting, tiling and installations of stand alone tub, vanity, toilet and facets and shower head lighting.
The tiling area is 300 square feet because I am doing the full wall on one side. The tile sizes is 16x32. Most materials are available but might need more. We have everything only the need of good people to finish this project.
I have a light fixture and mirror in my bathroom that are too low on the wall for me. I'd like to have the location for the light moved higher on the wall, and also to have the fixture itself replaced. I have already purchased the replacement unit which is the same style, but with a different look. Depending on cost, I'd also like to either resize or replace the mirror which is a square of glass.
I also already have a sheet of drywall on hand for any wall repair. I will do the repainting myself.
On the second floor need to build a bathroom of 3 PCs, take the closet and part of the bedroom to make this bathroom. The master bedroom is huge, the area where we want to make that second bathroom is on direct top of the 1/2 bathroom (powder) on the first floor.
I live in Brampton.
Thanks

Hello,
We are looking to remodel half of our bathroom. After an unsuccessful DIY attempt, we'd rather leave it to a professional. Some points to consider:
- The tub measures approximately L 55in x W 24 x H 15 in (very rough estimates; I didn't have a proper measuring tape with me, sorry)
- The tiles are very uneven, crooked, chipped; grout is bad
- Looking for basic alcove acrylic white tub (right-hand drain)
- Not sure if new faucet is necessary
- Looking for low-maintenance, quick installation shower tiles (large tiles are okay; dark grout)
- Not sure about Sentrel wall systems (is this costly?)
- We had a sink and counter installed but were not happy with the quality of it per se, so we will not use that company again; however, I would like to match the shower tiles to some element of the counter so I have attached a photograph
- Affordability is higher priority than style but I like the idea of two-toned or patterned tile that complements the counter (picture attached)
- I am the adult daughter of the homeowners, whose first language is not English
- If this project goes well, we would like to create a new bathroom in the basement (there is only one bathroom in the house at the moment)
- Not sure how far off our budget is, but we were hoping something could be arranged for $1,000 (we can remove tile if that helps?)
Hello. Would like a quote for replacing my bathtub and shower doors. Only need basic faucet, nothing fancy. Ditto for the tub/door. Also need a new bathroom fan installed, bathroom light centred over sink and an additional electrical outlet. We'd like to get the work done ASAP, as we're wanting to put our house up for sale. Based on material/labour, it shouldn't cost more than $9500 with taxes included. I look forward to your prompt reply. Thanks.
Need a partial small bathroom to be redone-this would include flooring, vanity, toilet, lighting and walls. I also need interior stairs redone with either hardwood or carpet, drywall repair from water damage and a ceiling redone.
Possible basement and exterior refinish in the near future.
Looking for a plumber to install a rough in basement for the shower drain, toilet and vanity and run water supply lines. The house is 3 years old and the builder rough-in for the washroom falls in the bathroom right now so will need to move no more than 3-4 feet. I will be installing all toilets and vanities myself. only rough in needed.
Hi,
I would like to add a shower to the power room and convert it to 3 piece bathroom.
The powder room is adjacent to a mud room and garage. The wall of the garage is made of concrete blocks. I am hoping to take some space from the garage, which is of substantial size, and use it for the shower.
Existing basement bathroom with shower to be totally gutted and turned into a powder room (no shower). Approximately 30 sq. ft.
Demolition - completely demo existing down to studs and concrete floor (including ceiling). Existing is drywall, tiled shower stall and tiles on floor.
Plumbing - remove all old plumbing . What happens to existing drain for shower - can it just be covered up? Install according to manufacturer specs, new sink (on vanity), faucet, and toilet, but toilet stays in current location. Shower is out and new vanity with sink to be installed. Toilet, vanity, sink and faucet supplied by owner.
Electrical - Add one GFI outlet and two boxes with switch. Considering heated floor under tile.
Drywall - install appropriate drywall for the job - one wall to be tiled.
Tile - floor (approx. 30 sq. ft) and one wall (approx. 48 sq. ft) to be installed. Tile to be supplied by owner. Installer to be very experienced or may be subcontracted out by owner.
Misc. - attach one mirror (approx. 24" x 57") to wall over the vanity. Supplied by owner.
I would want licensed professionals for each of the trades.
Would like to get this set to go in about 1 month - just waiting for new items to arrive.
