I'm looking for a contractor to do some work in my living room. I have a hole in the ceiling from some plumbing work I need patched, and in the process I'd like to remove the texturing and install some overhead lighting.
Please contact me if you're able to do this kind of work. I live in the Williams and Bramalea area of Brampton and don't have any pressing timetable, but just want to get the ball rolling.
I have a basement ceiling which we want to get finished in drywall...it was originally done with a suspended ceiling. All electrical and pumping, and walls and flooring is complete is done. We might need to extend down the vents.
We need someone who can frame up in either wood or steel studs the ceiling, and then install the drywall and tape. We would like this job done in a timely matter (about 2-3 weeks or sooner). I need a quote first before we decide who we choose.
I am looking for a quote to install a hanging ceiling in a room in our basement. The vents have previously been covered with plaster from a previous owner. The ceiling cannot go under the venting, as it will be too low, but will need to hang evenly with the bottom of it.
There is wiring for two light fixtures, however, fixtures to work with the drop ceiling will need to be installed. Room is approximately 8 x 15
If you are interested, I can send pictures.
I will purchase all the building materials required beforehand, I just require the installation to be done.
After a recent leak, we had to open up the kitchen ceiling to repair the pipes above. The result is a hole about 2' by 3' in the kitchen ceiling. The hole needs to be patched with drywall and then painted.
I'd do it myself but I really don't want a visible patch when it's all said and done.
Any ideas approximately how much?
Looking to budget for some upcoming home reno's. My basement family room is approx. 325 square feet. Currently I have ceiling tiles and a couple of lighting fixtures. I would like to put in a new ceiling with pot lights or recessed lighting (I'm not sure what the difference is between the two).
I also want to install new carpeting and underlay which will be 325 square feet as well.
We are replacing our ceiling in our living room. The room size is 200 sq ft. We are also thinking of adding pot lights to this room as well. We would also like a smooth finish to the ceiling rather than the stucco look.
Please provide estimates for just the ceiling install and possible separate estimates for the pot lights (8 lights).
There was a leak in the 2nd floor bathroom. The ceiling in the familt room was opened up to get to the pipes. Now the ceiling needs to be repaired. Popcorn ceiling has 2 holes as described above. Also, want a quote on crown moldong for a couple of rooms. 1Room is 12 x 12, the other is 20 x 12. thank you
My home is 6 years old and there are popping noises coming from the inside walls; the builder's expert said that under the walls need shims put in or the nails that are popping up cut so as to stop the noise when weight is applied.
Also on the ground floor there are quite a bit of movement when weight is applied; the bridging gaps need some more support. Are these repairs something that you will be able to repair?
If yes I would like you to come out and see for yourself and let me know the cost and when this would be able to be done.
Brand new build but builder wanted $9k for smooth ceiling. Would need popcorn removed and ceiling made smooth before moving in. House is 3000sq ft, 9 ft ceiling on main floor and 8 ft on second. Home is still under construction and closing in 4 months, so would like to get work started immediately upon closing before we move in.
Looking to do smooth ceilings and also I have approx. 20 sheets of drywall on main and 2nd floor and 90 sheets in basement. What is your sq ft rate? When can you start?
Sq ft. Rate for Smooth Ceilings -- Approx. 700 sq ft
Sq. Ft Rate for Finishing Drywall -- approx. 3400 sq. ft
Sq. Ft Rate for Boarding -- approx. 3400 sq. ft
Will you board and finish or finish only?
Priority is the 20 sheets then basement I can wait approx. 1 week.
