I am the property (single detached home) owner and am looking to have a veranda built in my backyard. I would like it to be built the entire width of the house so approximately 3.35m x 9.75m, please see the attached images for a professional sketch. The main structure should be built out of wood with concrete poured into the ground for the posts, a shingle roof and all the appropriate water drainage must be included. Please note that there is an existing walk-up staircase in the backyard. I have included a random picture of what I am looking to have built in case I was not clear. The start date as been listed as ASAP but if you can complete the job by the end of September please contact me to discuss this further. If you are interested but require further details please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks.
Basement apartment door frame is letting in water from outside as seal is gone in the frame. Concrete surface outside the door needs to be redone to pull water to drain. Stairs need resurfacing as it is coming apart. Door and screen door need to be ripped out, the framing needs to be redone and then a new door and screen door to be installed. The resurfacing area is about 10 sq. feet. Door is 80" x 33.5". Screen door is about the same. It is unknown when the door is removed how bad the surface will be discovered. Expect the need to resurface the concrete for the door to. There are 3 stairs that need the concrete resurfaced to stop the crumbling. The house is about 20 years old. The person who did the door years ago did a poor job at the workmanship and when the temperature changes drastically, the door has trouble closing. This is not a huge project but if this job is done well, it will definitely mean more concrete refinishing work and other renovations within the house.
Left abandoned by a contractor who underpinned our home and did the plumbing but falied to complete the concrete pour and the walkout. Most of the digging is done. Walls and interior waterproofing of walls is done. Weeping tiles are in the floor as is the rough-in for a basement bathroom. Most of the gravel is in but would probably need to be leveled. The basement has access from outside and through windows for concrete pouring. The house is 125 years old. approximatley 850 square feet of flooring required.
I have a basement walkout that was done by the previous owner of the home. The walkout is bounded by the foundation wall on one side, and a cinder block wall on the other. The foundation and steps are fine, but the cinder block wall is failing and I am considering replacing it with a concrete wall instead.
I require someone to build a 10' x 10' (roughly) pad on which we can assemble a shed purchased at Costco.
This will probably require a bobcat to level the ground from the driveway, through a double door in our fence, to the area in the backyard. Bascially, I want a framed square that you can put crushed stone in, then top with either cement , large patio stones, or whatever else might be appropriate to erect the garden shed on.
There are many more projects, both interior and exterior, for the right person.
I'm looking for someone to do a concrete finishing job and it consists of parging a porch 8 ' x 5' and 3 steps. Existing porch and steps have porcelain tiles which will be removed. So the contractor will have to do the following:
* Concrete will be provided, along with bonding agent.
* Porch and stairs will be clear of any old material,
* Contractor will be responsible for mixing the concrete.
* Contractor will also be responsible for parging all concrete surfaces.
* The intent of this job is to , when finished will be a smooth finished concrete porch and steps.
Preference will be given to people who are willing to do this tommorow or friday.
I live n Brampton and have my permit and drawings approved by the City. I require a landing for my side entrance. I currently have 2 stairs leading to the door. I was advised by the Inspector I need a concrete landing 3 feet x 3 feet approx 20 inches in depth and can put my current stairs to the side of the landing.
Attached is the City's measurement requirements as well as my side entrance.
Need confirmation this can be done in the winter (asap) and also how much it would cost.
Thanks
I am in need of a concrete pad in my back yard, pad is aprox 12x12 and a partial walk way to the shed, the dirt has been removed, what is needed is the forming, and pouring of the base and concrete. I am in the city of brampton, Ontario. What am I looking at for cost to do this project?
Hi,
I am wondering if you can provide a quote for the entry path. The dimension is 36" x 108". We would like to get concrete done. Currently, there are large patio tiles in that space. What is included in your quote?
I look forward to hearing back from you.
regards,
Salma
Hi,
My name is Les.
I am looking to have the current concrete patio and patio stone walkway removed and replaced with a new concrete slab. I have attached 4 pictures showing the area to be replaced.
There are 2 reason for the reason for this request.
1. The pad has settled is sloping towards the house.
2. There are larger number of cracks in the pad.
There is an overall picture to give you an idea of the entire area.
Section 1 photo is 15’6’ by 20’8”. I would like to extend this area by 6’.
Section 2 photo is 4’6” by 20’. This is walkway beside the garage.
Section 3 photo is 3’5” by 16’8”. Undecided about doing this section.
Sincerely,
Les
I'd like paved concrete around my house:
1. Existing driveway is 10ft x 40ft old/cracked asphalt. I'd like to redo it with concrete, and widen it (onto the lawn) to 18ft x 40ft.
2. I'd like to get rid of my rotten front deck and replace with concrete (connected to the driveway). It is 16ft x 4ft.
3. I'd like the left side of the house paved too (so I can easily haul stuff to the from the driveway to backyard using wheeled carts). It is 5ft x 12ft
4. I'd like a paved backyard patio. 8ft x 25ft
5. I'd like the right side of my house paved too, so I can store the garbage bins there. It is where the utilities are located (hydro meter, water, gas line, air conditioner unit). 5ft x 12ft
What costs are we looking at?
We have a concrete deck running around our pool approximately 3 feet wide. It surrounds a 38 x 20 foot rectangular inground pool. The existing concrete has numerous cracks that detract from the beauty of the pool. The pool is approx. 22 years old and has just had the liner replaced 2 years ago. It is in good working order and these cracks have not caused any problem with the pool itself. We want a long lasting economical fix as we do not want to have to replace the concrete. I cannot add pictures due to the snow coverage.
I need to have the front stairs removed (builder pre fab concrete stairs) and replaced with poured concrete. There are 4 steps to be completed. The back yard needs a concrete deck expansion, currently there is a square 12'x15'pad, I would like to extend that and count approx 400sqft to add. Looking for plain brushed concrete.
We want to increase our curb appeal with walkways adjacent to both sides of the driveway. Driveway is ashphalt, stand rectangular 4 car driveway.
On a tight budget so want something that not only looks great, but will also last a long time. I believe approximate size of the area infront of the porch to the left of the driveway is about 175 square foot. Want to be able to park the car on top of this.
We want the right side of the walkway to start at the curb of the street and go all the way to the side entrance. Maybe even continue to the backyard and form a patio at the back.
For the front, we want a stamped concrete type style, but without the high cost of it. So maybe something similar. For the backyard, plain concrete is fine.
Concrete walkway between two houses and one additional side. Approx. 10ft x 61ft between two house with a trough at the property line for drainage. Can be gravel. Plus addition 5ft x 61ft on additional side of house. Need permit from city due to new bylaw. If not provided, will not be considered. Simple white anti slip finish.
Hi,
We have a concrete walkway on the side of our house in very bad shape. It is approximately 5 feet wide x 45 feet long. We would like this removed in its entirety ASAP. Please contact us with an estimate for the concrete excavation and its removal (we need it to be disposed of). We also require you to do an in-person estimate before we agree to move forward.
Kevin
Hello contractors,
I am looking for someone to do a concrete/cement pathway leading up to the porch. The area is parallel to my driveway and currently has a layer of gravel and small stones.
The dimensions are approximately 5' x 15'.
I'd really like someone who can get this done ASAP. Please respond with a rough cost estimate and we can set up an appointment to visit.
The picture attached shows a portion of the area.
Thanks
Hello,
How much would it cost to build a simple 10 X 14 ft pressure treated wood deck which is 2 feet off the ground.
Also, how much would it cost to pour a simple 20 X 3 ft walkway in the front yard beside the driveway. Grass is already removed.
An estimate via email would be preferred. No need for too much detail, just a quick estimate would be fine.
Warm Regards,
Gerald
