Hello,
We would like to have 6-8 pot lights installed in our kitchen which is located on the mail floor of our home.
We are also thinking about changing a light fixture in our dining area which is also located on the main floor. As for the fixture in the dining area, we are still thinking about it and may or may not change it, however we definitely are looking to have the pot light installed.
It is best to contact us by telephone.
Electrician required to add electrical recepticles to unfinished basement.
Basement is completely unfinished and walls are not framed. Looking to add 5 recepticles around the room on the ceiling (also unfinished).
2 recepticles currently exist in basement and electrical panel is in corner of basement.
Looking for online estimates on price and when the work can be completed.
I am moving into a house with an unfinished basement that requires some electrical work. There are two main tasks:
1) I'd like to install electrical outlets in an unfinished basement (5-6). Currently there is only one electrical outlet for the washer/dryer. I'd like to have more outlets around the perimeter of the basement (5-6 new outlets).
2) A light switch for the whole basement. Currently most bulbs are pull switches.
A video details the placement of the outlets and switch details:click here
I need a wire fished through the walls. It needs to go up 2 floors (basement to 2nd floor). Let's estimate 10 beams to go through (though I think it might be less). I would like to holes made in the wall patched up after and ready to be painted (I will be painting them at a later time). I also already have the wire needed to go through the wall. I would like this work done either after 4pm on the weekdays or on weekends.
Need a licensed electrician to fix my electrical issue that is causing my air conditioner not to work. The air conditioner was working then there was a power failure in the house now the air conditioner is not working. This is not the first time this happened this summer.
I have many electrical issues right now but cannot afford the replace the whole panel as I am a single mom who owns the house.
Wondering if issues can be fixed over time.
Also do not want to spend too much as I plan to sell the house next year.
The panel currently contains breakers and fuses.
Thanks
Karin
I am looking for someone to install a chandelier in my foyer, right now there is a simple flushmount builders light fixture installed. The fixture is attached to roof, hanging in between small circular stairs. The dimensions of the Chandelier I am looking to install are (width) 22" to 31" (height). My house is right by Brampton Civic Hospital.
Add new circuits to the garage with a subpanel and feed pulled from the main panel. Rework existing non-compliant circuits.
The garage is slightly sunken (approx 3-1/2ft) compared to the house elevation and shares a wall with the basement. The breaker panel is a Commander QM located in the "family room" of the basement approximately 15ft from the corner of the garage. Basement ceiling is finished, but access through the drywall ceiling can be cut. The panel is somewhat full but (highlighted in green on the panel closeup) there's a 15/30/15 quad-breaker which is unused except one of the 15s and could be replaced (there's also a 30A double which could be replaced with a quad, a 15A single which could be replaced with a double, and an open single space).
Within the garage, there's currently two circuits (15A split) serving three outlets marked in orange. From one of these outlets, there's a non-compliant surface-run romex that serves an outdoor light and two garage door openers. The non-complaint romex needs to be corrected. These circuits may need to be protected by GFCI on the first outlet in each (unsure if currently protected).
From the existing circuits or new circuits, three new 15A duplex outlets near either side of the front of the garage and on the backwall (marked in blue).
7 new 20A duplex outlets with 2 on the south-wall (spaced approximately 5ft apart) and 5 on the north wall spaced every 3ft. either three Alternating or individual circuits (shown in pink)
2 new 20A@240v (6-20R outlets) circuits (shown in yellow) placed mid-way and near the front of the north wall.
Ideally, the sub-panel would be placed in the garage or in the basement Cellar which shares a wall with a 60A feed.
We're pretty open to how the runs within the garage are structured. Surface mounted armored cable, conduit, or opening the drywall are all OK options.
I have a garage renovation that I need to be finished. Another contractor began work and then disappeared and has refused to return communications.
The garage needs to have it's interior drywalled, electrical refinished (new lighting, exterior outlets, etc), new fascia and soffit, and new siding. I also require my fence and gate to be repaired since the previous contractor broke it.
We recently purchased a new home and have purchased a gas stove which we would require a gas line to be I stalled. We are located in Brampton Mississauga road and Williams pkwy. We have purchased the 1" gas line from the builder an would need to have an dads original line for the stove.
Please contact us and speak with Carlos.
Thank you.
Hello All,
I have a question about installing pot light.
I have a house with 1726 sqfeet MPAC and thinking of installing potlight.
Can you give me an estimate on how much would that cost ?
How much do you charge for installing 1 potlight?
I understand it differs from potlight selected.
Lets say a medium quality white potlight for example.
We are in the process of putting our house up for sale and we require some home repairs. The exterior repairs needed are the replacement of the mesh on a oversize screen door and exterior window caulking. The interior repairs need includes some electrical, drywall repair, painting and the sweep on the interior door to the garage.
We have purchased a hot tub and need to have the electrical run and hooked up to the tub on the day of delivery.
Drill through foundation from Electrical panel to outside
Install 50amp service at panel
Run 70 ft of #6 wire from panel, through PVC conduit to new disconnect box
Install GFCI Disconnect box as well as new outlet running from disconnect and 50amp service
Run wire from disconnect box to hot tub and connect tub
Test
Cap off and close an existing outlet that is too close to the tub location
Install a GFI breaker on a outdoor light circuit that is within 5 feet of tub location
I need 2 electrical outlets installed (each on their own separate fuse; each of them should NOT be shared with anything else) in my basement, and 1 light switch installed at the bottom of my staircase (leading to my basement).
For the light switch you'll be installing, keep in mind that there is already 1 light switch at the top of the staircase, so this new light switch you'll be installing will be at the bottom of the staircase and should work in conjunction with the light switch at the top of the stair case. After your installation of the new light switch, both the existing light switch (at the top of the stairs) and the new light switch you'll be installing at the bottom of the staircase, both of them should act as a toggle to turn the lights on and off (regardless of the position of the light switch).
I know that sounds a bit confusing, so let me explain. EXAMPLE : If I turn the light switch on from upstairs then walk downstairs, the light switch at the top of the staircase will be positioned upwards (to indicate it's on). Then when I get downstairs, to shut that light off, I'd turn the new light switch (which you'll be installing) downwards to shut it off. But then, let's say another family member wants to come downstairs to join me. The light switch at the top of the stairs is already in the upwards position (because I switched it upwards when I came down), so they should be able to switch it downwards to turn the light back on, and when they come downstairs, they'd switch the new light switch (which you'll be installing) to the upwards position to shut it back off. Hope that explanation makes some sense.
I'M ON A VERY TIGHT BUDGET - BOTH TIME WISE & FINANCIALLY SO PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND WHEN RESPONDING TO MY AD.
The project must be started and completed on a weekday. Because of my time restrictions you'd have to start at 9:30 a.m. and you'd have to be completed by no later than 1:45 p.m. That gives you approximately a 4 hour window. If you are unable to complete the installation of the project in that 4 hour window, you'd have to come back the next day to wrap it up. PAYMENT WILL ONLY BE MADE UPON FULL COMPLETION OF THE PROJECT. I WILL NOT GIVE OUT A DEPOSIT/PARTIAL PAYMENT.
I am projecting a start date of June 15/2012.
I wish to have an electrical outlet with 4 plugs (inputs) running off a dedicated breaker (not being shared by anything else in my house).
***JAN. 22/2012 UPDATE*** I have been asked a few questions by some of the contractors who contacted me about this project. So to answer your questions :
1) The electrical outlet will be installed in my basement.
2) The fuse box / circuit breaker box is in the basement as well.
3) The distance between the fuse box / circuit breaker box and where I want the electrical plug installed is approximately 60 feet (if I run my measuring tape along the walls and NOT cut diagonally). I say "approximately" because my measuring tape is only 25' feet maximum and I had to measure it a little over 2 times. It actually worked out to like 57' feet by my measurements but I am rounding it up to 60' just to be safe.
4) The basement is *NOT* finished / so it's an open concept.
Hi
We want to install the ceiling fan in our home. Currently there is a light fixture in that place, so hopefully there wont be any need for additional wiring for that. Our ceiling is 9 ft and the fan we bought is 42" with a light. Please let me know the rough estimate of:
* fee
* how long it would take
* your work hours
Thanks
Bushra
I currently don't have a stove in the basement, but I plan on buying a new electric stove in the near future, so I need the wiring run to the circuit breaker/fuse box (whatever it's called) and the actual plug installed, so that all I would have to do is plug the appliance into the outlet.
This is a simple, very straightforward project, so please.....when you respond, please quote me your price.
Thank you.
I need to have cabling and wall socket installed to connect my stove at the basement of my house. The house is about 20-25 years old. The panel is located in a room that is just adjacent to the room where the wall socket needs to be mounted. Please respond only if you are willing to provide a free, no obligation quote.
Thank you.
New home (built in 2011) - we are replacing builder installed light fixtures with new fixtures:
3 x light fixtures (9' ceiling)
1 x light fixture (second storey, centred over spiral staircase) - builder has already reinforced
Note: The fixture over the staircase requires crystals to be hung.
We have recently moved into a new build, and have purchased a gas stove that needs installation. We are located in Brampton main intersection is Mississauga Road & Queen Street. We have purchased the GE Cafe Double Oven Slide in Gas Range. We can be reached via email or by phone at. We would like to have this completed as soon as possible as we have been in the house for over a week.
Thank you.
Anna
