Hello:
I am looking for a local supplier of ceiling vent covers. I have a 24" x 24" defuser with louvers that protrude approximately 1.5-2" below the drop ceiling tiles. The cover I am looking for is a 12" x 24", and it just slips in between the the defuser and rail. I have found these on the net but all are from the US.
Thank you very much for your time, any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Cold cellar is currently not functional, would like to get builders studs and plywood removed and then get the cold cellar insulated with spray foam and get ventilation through installed vent in the door, will listen to other possible solutions. dimensions attached, about 100 sq. ft. I am the homeowner of a brick and siding clad home, the house is a two story approx 2700 sq ft, it has ductwork for the air conditioning in all rooms all ducts are located in the ceiling.
I want to leave the existing baseboard units but add a forced air gas furnace to heat the whole house.
I need an estimate to complete this work within one month.
Hello!
I need a 4" dryer vent installed. I will provide the 4" dryer vent, you will provide the labor, caulking & bring your own ladder. Because this make-shift laundry room is on the 2nd floor, you will need a ladder to work on the outside of the house, to secure (and caulk) the vent to the side of the house. The side of the house the vent will be going through (from the outside) is vinyl siding in case you're wondering.
This project needs to be STARTED AND COMPLETED ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2014. I AM NOT FLEXIBLE ON THE DATE!!!!!!
Please include your price in your e-mail to me OR if you need to come out to see the job for yourself and you provide a FREE WRITTEN PRICE QUOTE, e-mail me and we can arrange for that to happen. I need this job completed on the date listed above, so please....SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY.
Cheers.
I would like to get a estimate for installing the ductwork in an 888 square feet commercial unit. The property is intended to be a small bakery. There are no gas appliances all electric. I will also need a air vent over the stove which has to be vented on the roof. There is currently no hole in the room for the stove vent.
Please let me know what is included in your estimate and the approximate cost for material and labor. I haven't received the drawings back as yet so I'm not sure what is totally required.
The building is located in Brampton, Ontario.
Thanks
Thanks.

Hi,
We bought our house recently and when inspection of the house was done the inspector noticed that the exhaust vent needed some repair. The following is what he had mentioned in his house inspection report.
- Moderate water stains were visible in the attic area surrounding to bath exhaust vent pipe. It may due to water penetration or exhaust vent pipe.
We need to get this repaired. Please sent me a ballpark estimate to repair this.
Thanks.

Every summer my furnace room floods when AC runs. It has been happening for two years now. I got the condensation pump installed last year, but I am not sure if it is working or not. Need to get it fixed. There is another issue; whoever built the basement, did not realize that the drain is supposed to be in the furnace room, not in the closet (which is behind the furnace room. What can you do about it? I am looking for a licenced professional to give me a free and honest estimate. I will need a printed contract and the warranty for your work. If possible, please give me an idea of how much it can cost for the condensation problem.
My heating is not working. On the thermostate it was showing the heat on but it wasnt on. So i changed the thermostate but problem was still there. Then i called a licenced guy he came and told me that a part (i think the name was fan center) blew up and need to change it he got the new part and blew it again. Then he said there is a problem in the wiring. I paid him the price of new part and requested him to leave. Because he was very confused.
Now i want to know if you can fix the problem. You contact me you must have licence for this job. If you come and cant fix the problem the dont expect any payment from me.
Please contact me only if you are confident.
I am looking for a trustworthy and respectable contractor to do an upgrade in my house regarding my heating system, from electrical conversion to force air duct system. The house has no existing ducts inside the walls or ceiling so they are to be holed and built in. I have a copy of a designers lay out of the house where the ducts would be inserted from a previous supposed project that I am very thankful that didn't go through. I hope to have the project be started and finished by the late spring to early summer.
I am in the process of renovationing my home. I have removed 70% of the existing ductwork and am also putting an addition to the second floor. The Sq.Ft of the house at the end of the project will be approx. 2700 sq.ft. 550 sq.ft of the existing house has pre-installed ductwork that heeds to be connected to. 450 sq.ft is the addition which needs all new ductwork. 1700 sq.ft the ductwork has been removed and needs to be reinstalled, 90% of cutouts will be reused, I have keep all the run materials which can be reused as well. I will be providing a new Furnace, AC and HRV that needs to be incorpoated. The furnace and AC will be installed by someone else, the HRV needs to be installed. Please contact me for further information and possible site visit.

Hi,
I'm a contractor and I've gotta two jobs.
#1- this job is for me. I need my furnace moved about ten feet, which will require some alterations to the ductwork. The job needs to be done as soon as possible.
#2- this job is for a full home build I am managing in Etobicoke. They have a furnace but it needs to be reinstalled. All of the ductwork needs to be redone. Everything is open. This job would start in late January.
Contact me if you're interested. I'm looking for a good HVAC partner, as my previous one moved to Calgary.
Thanks.
I require HVAC to be installed in new bathroom located in the garage.
Also need ventilation created from new kitchen to outside for the new stove.
Job would need to be finished by January 27th and we are located in Brampton.
Please provide an estimated quote at which point we can arrange for an in person estimate.
Thanks
Good day everyone,
This is more of a repair inquiry than a project. I will let you decide after reading the issue.
I have 2 issues:
1st: There is a pipe coming from the furnace that is venting through the attic, It is close to a roof vent but not not sealed at all. there is maybe a 2 inch gap between the pipe and roof vent. It may very well be the furnace fresh air intake but i am not 100% sure. I know the furnace/water tank exhaust is venting outside for sure since i traced it and its a larger diameter piping.
2nd: My air conditioning unit seem to be having some difficulty cooling the house. I checked the temp and i am getting between 18 to 20 degree from the vents when its on. It seem to be running a lot longer and takes hours to cool the house. Its an older unit.
I am not sure if the 2 issues are related but i hope the furnace/AC is not pulling hot air from the attic instead of outside and cooling it for the rest of the house.
I am hoping to find a trust worthy HVAC technician that can check the whole system and make repair if necessary.
We are the property owners who require HVAC work to legalize an existing basement apartment. According to the permit, we are looking to have a quote on the following:
A duct-type smoke detector installed in the supply or return air duct system serving the entire building must turn off the electrical power to the heating system upon activation and must be installed according to the manufacturer’s written instructions. In addition, if the fuel supply shut off is not electronically controlled and is regulated by a pilot light a gas shut-off valve shall be installed and activated by the same duct-type smoke detector.
Where new construction could restrict the supply of combustion air of any existing fuel-fire appliances, an adequate combustion air supply shall be provided to ensure proper combustion and safe operation of the furnace and/or service water heater.
Provisions shall be made for return-air from each dwelling unit by installing return duct inlets near floor level. Rooms within each dwelling unit may achieve return air by gaps under doors or the use of louvered doors. Return-air inlets shall not be installed in an enclosed room or crawlspace that provides combustion air to the furnace or water heater.
Provide supply air registers in each room. Registers shall be located within 1200mm from outside walls.
Thanks in advance.
