I am in the last step in process of purchasing a property and will close in late January 2020. I am looking for a contractor who can finish up the basement which is currently unfinished. I would like to create a bedroom, add flooring, add full bathroom, close the furnace with door, potentially create a laundry room/area.
I may also want to change the countertops for the kitchen and two bathrooms. May need to change the tiling for both bathrooms and main kitchen.
I would like to know the breakdown of cost separately for the following:
1) Separate Entrance
2) Kitchen Counter Top change
3) Kitchen tile change and adding backsplash
4) 2X Bathroom countertop change
5) 2X Bathroom tile change
6) Adding a bedroom in basement, put flooring in basement, add full bathroom in basement, cover furnace and create a laundry area in basement.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
I look forward to a detailed quote from you and based on whether I supply the raw materials how will the cost differ.
We would like basement to be finished with drywall (close off furnace, close off laundry room, close off storage area). Install lighting and electrical.
For the kitchen we want to seal off one entrace from open concept living room and either seal it completely or create a wider window and half wall into dining room. From the picture it is the door way on the left close to the fridge.
We own the house and have done a lot of work on our house ourselves since moving in, we are looking to sell in 2020, so want to get a clean finished look before then. We don't want high end fixtures, just solid and nice looking to make it attractive to prospective buyers and for us to live in until we sell. With that in mind we are flexible on the finish and look if it will help us get better return on investment.
Bathroom:
- Needs full overhaul. Toilet will stay as is, needs new bath tub and sink and faucet. We have new under-sink cabinet and all floor and wall tiles and new shower unit, shower rod and faucet for the bath already. No changes in electrics or lights are required. Size is approx. 10ftx5ft.
Kitchen:
More complex project... we have a half height wall we want to get rid of to open the space up, we are not sure if the end part is a supporting beam or not, if it is, we anticipate that a storage cupboard would need to be built to make use of this. Also want to replace all floors in kitchen and the living room with new flooring. Kitchen will need new cabinets and fixings, we would like a compact walk in pantry as well. We have a sink and faucet for the kitchen already and a over the range microwave for install. We are after a very simple kitchen with no wall mounted cabinets, only under counter. Lights and plugs are all ok as is. The fridge is not currently hooked up to water source for ice maker, this would be required. Size of kitchen is approx. 18ft x 12ft, size of living room area to be re-floored at same time is approx. 18ft x 10ft.
I am willing and able to do a lot of the demolition and removal of tile myself in advance if this will save a significant sum, though if it’s not a not lots extra I’d rather not.
Please feel free to call should you require extra information.
My hone is 18yrs old with original kitchen in it. The rest of the house has been remodelled so it's just the kitchen left. I'm a foster parent for teenage children and we need clean lines with less clutter. I would like to change cupboards to the ones with drawers so everything has a drawer. There is already ceramic tile on the floor. Space saving, easy access and smooth finishes is what we are looking for.

I have a long kitchen that doesn't have any space for a kitchen table due to the layout of the cabinets and would like to add a breakfast bar on the empty wall. My counters are granite right now.
I need refacing of my kitchen cabinets and countertop of a 28 year old towhouse. The below cabinets are 4 and 4 drawers and top cabinets are 11. the doors might not need replacement , if they can acquire a new look by repainting, polishing or whatever other alternatives that you offer. The inside of the cabinet will need painting as well. The kitchen taps have been leaking and have affected the counter top especially around the sink, so this will need replacing , marble top or some heat resistant durable top. The cabinet floor under the sink will for sure need replacing as well as the back wall of this under sink cabinet. This tells that I will need a professional plumber as well to fix this leaking taps. The plumber will also need to work on my basement sink taps (they leak) and my bathroom taps that rattle. I also wonder if you can fix my dishwasher that has began leaking the water off when in use. please let me the estimate cost of this job since I would like to fix it ASAP. Thank you for your prompt response

Hello,
The layout of my kitchen is 11 x 9. On one 9ft wall I have a 72 inch patio door at one end on the other 9 ft wall I have an opening which leaves only 63.5" of useable wall space. I would like to have the hookup for the stove and water re-located.
The stove is currenly situated in the corner on the 11ft wall by the patio door. This would be the new location for the fridge. The sink and dishwasher is currently situation in the middle of the 11 ft wall. I would like to have the stove located where the sink is and move the sink to the corner where the 11 ft wall joins the 63.5" wall (along with the dishwasher). The basement has a drop celing providing access. The 63.5 " wall is connected to a powder room.
I would be interested in the cost of this change.
Kitchen in a 40+ year old Brampton side split needs to be enlarged and modernized. Presently it is 13' by 9.5' with an L-shaped design with a window over the double sink. Would like to expand kitchen into the adjoining dining room which is also 13' by 9.5', this requires the removal of a non-load bearing wall ( approx 7' long). The final kitchen/eating area should have laminate flooring throughout and continued into front hallway (5' by 20' approx). Would like to add a centre island with seating and storage, a wall of pantry cupboards, and new granite countertop (or similar poduct). Would need new double sink and faucet. New dark wood cupboards throughout, and painting of walls a neutral colour. Finally, would like to add a walkout from eating area to the backyard using a 5' patio door which would replace the existing dining room window. All in all it's a basic kitchen reno with no extra plumbing or electrical required just some demolition and reconfiguring of the existing space. Kitchen will have the existing fridge, electric stove, microwave and dishwasher. Thank you
