I would like an estimate to have my corridor style kitchen completely renovated. I have a wall oven and countertop stove to be removed as well as all kitchen cupboards and dishwasher removed. the flooring and subfloor need to be taken up as well. I have already purchased kitchen cupboards ( fully assembled and ready to be installed). I would need a quote to:
1- remove all existing cupboards, appliances, flooring and possible lower drywall behind cupboards.
2- install sub floor and laminate flooring from outer hallway - thru kitchen to front hallway ( 22 ' length x 8 ' width.
3- install new drywall and possibly move 3 electrical outlets.
4- install kitchen cupboards ( 2 - 30x30 upper( 1 30 x30 upper cabinet that will be installed above the fridge will need to be installed about 12" out from the wall to be able to access the cupboard.), 1 - 12x30 upper, 1- 30x14 upper and 8 lower cabinets) there are no blindcorner upper or lower cabinets.
5 - install built in dishwasher and freestanding range.
6- install subway tile ( backsplash)
7 - install corian(?) countertop ( app. total 32 square feet and no corners, both sides of kitchen would be straight slabs) and undermount sink and faucet. ( this needs to be a seperate quote)
At the moment I would like to have online estimates only. I can provide pictures if needed.
We would like to fully gut our existing kitchen and rebuild it. Currently, it sits against one side of the house and is separated by a wall that has the living room on the other side of it and the dining room adjacent. We would like a good quality finish to the kitchen.
We are looking to remove the existing wall and open the space up. We also want to add an island where the wall currently exists. As well as adding a french door in the space where the dining room window currently exists. There are two other windows in the kitchen that could also do with replacing. There is a high chance some or all of the wall is load-bearing, we are expecting to need to have a pillar in there but depends on the cost to have it fully opened.
On the opposite end of where the kitchen opens to the dining room, there is a doorway leading to a separate side of the house with 3 steps that we want to be closed off to form a wall where the existing doorway is. We think this space would be ideal for a pantry.
We would like a combination of lower cabinets running the length of the kitchen, galley style, all with large pull-out drawers, which would take up the majority of the kitchen and store the majority of our items, and some upper cabinets with a possibility of open shelving.
We would like natural coloured solid wood for the drawer fronts preferably acacia but this depends on cost. Any wood with nice grain is ideal. With a white surround and quartz countertops. The backs of the cabinets and inside of drawers could be cheaper material if there is a significant cost saving.
Pictures of the current kitchen layout and some inspo pictures for what we want the new one to look similar to are attached.
The current electrics are all copper wiring just with old switches. We would like to have metal water piping in the new space, not plastic. The existing lighting is functional but we'd prefer pot lights through the new kitchen space.
We are open to suggestions on how best to make the space work for our needs and welcome any ideas you may have.
Our deadline is mid-October as there is a baby on the way and we would like the Renos to be done before the baby arrives. Please keep this timeline as strict.
We have already purchased new vinyl floors for the space that we will need to be installed, as well as a new sink and taps. The sink is a heavy cast iron apron front, so the cabinets need to be strong. We also purchased a new pop-up downdraft exhaust fan already.
Dimensions of the kitchen are: approx 9 foot by 16
remove wall between living room and kitchen to create open concept (price dependent)
renovate Kitchen
remove tile floor from entry way, hall and kitchen
remove hardwood from living room
replace all flooring with luxury vinyl
remove popcorn ceiling in LR DR and hallway
install pot lights in living room and dining room
update stairs to 2nd floor to wood
remove drywall railing & replace with wooden banister
re-paint entire main floor
replace 7 interior doors
update baseboards, molding and trim
Removing a wall or maybe 2, to make kitchen and family room opened to one space.
Remove and replace kitchen cabinets. add pot lights kitchen and family room. Remove bulkhead and a large return in corner of kitchen. move dishwasher. Rearrange appliances install a out vented extractor fan over gas stove. Flooring is a ? I need advice with.
I have ready assembled kitchen cabinets (3 lowers and 5 uppers), a hood fan, a single kitchen sink & facet and a laminate countertop that I need installed in my new basement kitchen area. I’m also interested in a backsplash. My basement kitchen area is a straight wall, 139 inches in length with no corners. Water and drainage piping is already in place, all I need is someone to install everything. Let me know how much it would cost or call me if you’d like to come over and give me a quote. I’ve attached an image of the cabinet layout.
Thanks

I would like to get my kitchen renovated; pretty much completely redone. The stove and fridge are the only items I believe I will not be replacing, I have seen most items I will be buying from Ikea so I will mainly need assistance with the destruction of the old items and installation of the new items. I live in a condo that was built maybe 20-30 years ago, the kitchen has not been touched since. It's about 14 feet by 8 feet. I am the owner of the unit.
Hi,
I have an outdoor kitchen which is 8x6 feet L shape, the bar side is 8 feet and I have the built in BBQ on the other side. I would like to extend to a U shape that would add a few things, such as heating plate, sink, refrigerator, space for products, garbage space and others.
I also would like to cover and add a top to the whole outdoor kitchen, by adding it to a U shape it would me approx. 8 feet by 15 feet to cover.
If I could get some quote estimate, I you require an onsite visit for a quote, that is possible
Thanks
Henry
I am planning a kitchen renovation within the next two months and I am looking for someone to remove the old kitchen cupboards and back splash and also patch the drywall if there are any damage from the removal of the cupboards and back splash.
I also need an electrical outlet to be relocated about 3 feet from existing outlet and the dish washer to be re located.
The electrical and plumbing is optional if it is not your trade, I can get someone else to do these two jobs.
The size of the kitchen is approx. 25 linear feet.
Our master bathroom shower was leaking into our kitchen. I removed some of the floor tile to find much more damage than I originally hoped for, so time to get this done proper.
Project:
-Current 30" x 30" tiled shower to be removed (separate price please, as I can probably just do this part)
-Frame a larger shower, approx. 30" x 42" (actual size to be confirmed)
-Concrete back board (currently there is drywall there by the home builder)
-Complete waterproofing, Schulter System preferred (because we know about it), but similar is acceptable as long as it is as reliable.
-Overhead light in the shower area
-Ceramic tiles, including replacing tiles in the existing adjoining bathtub area
-Glass shower door
-Optional pricing for body jets or shower spa features.
-All damaged drywall replaced on kitchen ceiling below (some has been removed already) and primer-finished
Re-posting this listing as we have more details in terms of measurements.
1) Replace the sink to something wider and deeper. As this would require cutting we feel it's a good time to replace the countertops too. The cabinet is 29.5" wide. We prefer an undermount sink with a bowl that is 8 inches deep (current sink is only 19.5" wide so we would like something bigger than that but could fit within the cabinet area..
2) Replace laminate countertops. Cupboards and cabinets don't need replacing at this time. We prefer a white/light colour in granite or quartz.
3) Building an island with matching countertops that allows for extra storage space.
2.25 ft by 3.5 ft
4 Option: Add a 'lip' to the countertop on the sink side to prevent water from leaking on the other side (where the couch is).
View the attached images to get more ideas or view a video here (end of the video points to the floor where we would like the new island to be):click here acquire the keys late October so we prefer the project to happen first week of November.
As well as refinishing for the hardwood floows in the house, I plan to renovate my home and need estimates for the following.....
- refinish and repair hardwood floors in living/dining/front foyer rooms
- re-frame and replace bedroom doors
- supply and lay new broadloom throughout house
- install new floor tiles in kitchen
- replace all kitchen counters
- replace bathroom sinks
- paint entire house inside and out
- replace back yard deck
- repair basement landing
- replace garage doors
- replace sliding door to back yard
We just moved into a home where the previous homeowner has allowed a leaky kitchen faucet to go unrepaired. We are planning on renovating the kitchen in a few years, but in the interum where hoping to simply repair the faucet - unfortunately on closer inspection the area immediately surronding the faucet is water damaged and starting to sag.
What I would like to know is - is it possible to remove the sink and replace it with a new one with the faucet support as part of the sink? (Currently the sink there is a double sink and only includes the sink, the faucet is a seperate component attached the counter. the new sinks that I have seen allow for the faucet as well.
there appears to be enough "good countertop" away from the immediate faucet attachment to support a larger sink.
really I am looking for two quotes - the first would be to do what I am suggesting about -replacing the sink and perhaps boulstering the counter from below.
The second quote would be for the replacement of the entire countertop (assuming inexpensive laminate). The kitchen countertop is L shaped with the large portion being 9' long and the short being 43" long (standard 25" depth) - both with only the standard backsplash (neither end is against a wall) there is also a 2' island with a standard backsplash - again - neither edge touches a wall.
Thanks
Tracey

This is a new home. It has a standard hood range. I have purchased a Broan Silhouette 15000 Series 30" Hood In Brushed Aluminum. The standard hood range needs to be removed. The broan silhouette needs to be installed. The new unit can be found hereclick here for reference. I am only interested in hiring a contractor who has installed this or very similar units. If you do not have that type of experience, you need not apply for this project.
Hello dear handy Canadian and welcome to my project.
One of the rooms of our house will be used for a video show as the workshop set for a scaled down kitchen for a puppet show. There will be two cameras taping the show from two different angles. The two angles (static taping) will only show the two unique faces (walls) of the kitchen, as it acts as the backsplash for the studio set. The puppet(s) will be 26 inches tall (no legs). The show is a puppet cooking show so everything in the kitchen needs to be scaled down to size to accomodate a 26 inch puppet. Items needed are typical of what you would find on a kitchen wall - such as but not limited to: cabinetry, storage shelves, backsplash, wooden alcoves etc.... with traditional and rustic french decor. The kitchen needs to be made entirely of wood. The type of wood is not important. The style is important as it has to represent a rustic old style type of french kitchen.
Measurements: The studio surface is 95 inches wide by 62 inches deep. The long wall (main wall angle) should be between 60 and 80 inches long while as the shorter wall (secondary wall angle) should be between 40 and 60 inches long.
Timeframe : to be built asap - and no later than early January
Notes: this is an unusual and fun project. You do not need to have any experience with puppet stage building or decorations however those who do have kitchen construction experience and / or carpentry experience are considered an asset. I am looking for the best price/value for this project.
