My basement currently has 2 small windows - which would be too small for a person to fit through. This is dangerous, as there is only one exit from the basement, that being the stairs. I would like to enlarge one or both windows for both light and safety. The exterior of my home is brick and cement.
I would like to make an entrance from my garage into the inside of the house. There is a perfect spot for it that will go through the closet in the laundry room right into the garage.
There will be no digging involved...just an opening is needed through cement blocks and then framing and installing the door.
Hi I am looking for a contractor who can inspect damages to internal parts of my rental house, provide estimate to repair and complete repairs if estimate is approved.
The damages are mostly done to the drywall (caused by tenants not being careful or willfully damaging the house) and one damaged bedroom door needs to be replaced along with it's lock.
The job is at Brampton North, close to chinguacousy Road and sandalwood parkway
PLEASE READ Carefully
This is not a cash job, it's for a rental house you must be able to do a walk through and prepare a detailed estimate with findings and cost
TIME OF INSPECTION/ESTIMATE
Tuesday 30th July between 4pm-7:30PM by apointment
NOTE THIS HOUSE IS BRAMPTON NORTH, when replying please advise how soon you are available to do the job once the inspection is completed.
It is very important that you show up if you make an appointment as I live over an hour away from the house.
I have a wide porch that narrows slightly into into a single door entry with one sidelite. Is there any way to create a double door entry? Maybe by extending the interior front foyer outwards. I dont mind a smaller porch. Just wondering if anyone has done this before and the average estimate cost, and amount of total time to achieve this.
Thanks
My wife hired a company to do a whole home renovation on a property we acquired in September. After paying him tens of thousands of dollars (over 80% of the total budget) we tried to get firm dates on some of the projects he had not completed. When we declined to give him more money until we saw some results or got some firm timelines, he came in late last Friday night December 10th removed all his tools and sent a text that he couldn't work under these conditions. As is evident from the condition of the door we needed it completed before winter and Guliano refused to provide a date.
My wife has reached out a couple of times hoping to get the situation resolved professionally but has received no response. Therefore we have been left with no choice but to repost the most urgent job to get completed as this has been left open since early October. We are open to either a sliding door or a normal exterior door. But we can not have the house exposed to the elements any longer
Please note an external door was originally in place, the current status is what the last contractor left it in when he left. We are open to any suggestions and our budget will flex based on those suggestions.
Our house is 8 years old. We have owned it for just under a year. We believe that the windows are all the originals.
The house is all brick except for an area around a second floor window in the front of the house, where a wooden frame was built. (Not sure why this was done like this ...) The wood around the windows is starting to rott.
Rather then replacing the wood frame, we were thinking of putting up an aluminum frame or potentially stucco to match the brick.
We are looking for costs for Stucco or for an aluminum frame, and are also willing entertain other ideas.
(I have attached a picture of the window, as well as dimensions.)
With winter storms, side fence has dislodged and needs to be re-assembled. Only one section involved and lattice may have to be replaced.
Side wood door into back yard has completely fallen apart and needs new wood and connections.
Would be prepared to pay for materials and pay labour to person contracted
May not start until first week June. We are tenants and may pay for the work
As a not-for-profit charitable supportive housing unit we are required to secure three bids for the following work:
- replacement of 16 sentronic door closers
- replacement of 8 hydraulic door closers
- replacement of two aluminum doors and sidelights with new 40 inch doors and sidelights, including new framing, accessible door operators and push plates
- hollow metal fire door replacement with hardware and frames - estimated 12 doors need replacement
- key card entry system for 7 openings including electronic door strikes, card readers, door status contracts, main controller, wire runs, programming and training
Contractor must be licensed to install fire protection equipment and provide proof of insurance and WSIB.
We need to replace a sliding door leading to our backyard with a French door. The opening is approximately 5' wide x 8' high.
The colour must be white. The door can be steel framed with plain glass. We are open to quotes for vinyl doors and/or the colonial style.
Please include price for removing old glass door.
I have an older front door (wood door only - the storm door is new and will remain with the new door) with a port window above and one sidelite. I am looking for a ballpark figure on cost to remove and replace the entire thing with a new one of the same size and shape. I would be looking for a fiberglass door with minimal design, sidelite and window to be of decent quality - again - nothing fancy (no built in shutters or gold inlay or anything like that). Just simple clean and efficient. currently it's a wooden door and the sidelite and window above are a plastic material. Currently the sidelight does not go all the way to the bottom of the door - but stops at just below half way.
Hello,
We live in condo and would like to install a door in our larger 38w by 95h doorway, we would like to bring the wall down and add a regular size door 36w by 80h, we would like pricing for installation and for those who also have access to doors, we would like a french door. So pricing for just installation and pricing for door and all materials plus labour.
Our job went unfinished. Framing is complete however, we are looking to finish the installation of 4 doors in one bedroom and 2 doors in a second bedroom. They are 6 panel doors we are wanting to use. The material that is, the closet doors, the drywall, the casings, ect...have been purchased. The 2 closets have also been framed but need to be dry walled and finished with doors. No painting or taping required.

I would like to install a door at the entrance to my basement apartment. Currently the access to this space is not enclosed. This entrance is located at the bottom of my stairs in the basement. Here's the catch - I would like to install two french doors at a ninety degree angle to each other as the entrance way to the apartment would otherwise require building a 3' wall and I want to keep it as open as possible when this apartment is not in use. Anyone interested would really have to see this area before they submitted a quote.

Looking to change about 11 windows, one front door and a patio door in a house this summer as early as possible. We are located in Brampton. We are looking for companies and / or trades that specifically specialise in installing doors and windows and not looking for General Contractors or any other trades. Let us know if you are in that business and are able to visit the site to take a look and give us a quote. Thanks.
