Hello!
Not sure if you can do a quick quote with this info or not??
We're about to begin renovating our main bathroom. It is roughly 8'x9', and includes a sink, toilet and tub inside a tiled tub alcove. We plan on gutting this room ourselves and keeping the sink and toilet to reinstall later, but tearing out the tub and replacing with new. We will buy the supplies ourselves, all we need is for the labour to be done. What we need is for the subfloor to be replaced as it has rotted under tub area, some drywall and insulation to be replaced, tub alcove to built up to support tile, the tub installed, the floor and tub alcove to be tiled, and any miscellaneous electrical and plumbing that would be involved for lights, electrical heater wall insert and new shower fixtures in tub from the existing.
We have already recieved one quote for the labour from a licensed contractor who is a close friend and are curious to see what others would charge for this amount of work.
Thanks in advance
Natalie Tweedie
We have a small bathroom that needs updating. will be a complete gut, including flooring.
Would like to do subway tile in shower, and on walls approx 4ft high. replace vanity, tub, toilet and tile new floor.
We are looking for somebody that will be flexible, as we are looking to purchase the replacement material on our own (as we dont want 'cookie cutter' pieces) - and once the material is secured somebody that can work quickly as its the only shower for family of 4!
Renovation of 63 sf ensuite bathroom, including the following items:
- Subfloor levelling
- New tile floor (include remove and reinstate existing toilet)
- New shower with glass walls on two sides and tile walls on remaining two sides
- Relocation of plumbing to move shower head/taps to adjacent wall or ceiling of shower
- New shower fixtures
- New vanity with quartz countertop, new faucet and new sink
Exclusions:
- Demolition
- Electrical
- Painting
Other Information:
The house was built in the late 80s to early 90s. Bathroom is original. The only change that has been made is the replacement of the toilet.
I am the property owner.
My main bathroom needs to be updated and my home is approximately 30 years old. Measurements in the main bathroom are 2.4 x 2.8 meters.
I want ceramic tile flooring, new tub and ceramic walls with shower. I want a new vanity, walls and ceiling painting and ceiling fan.
I want to engage an experienced team potentially consisting of a plumber, one who does tiling, construction, ? electrician with reputations and reference supporting fairness in pricing and a contract.
Because I also want to retile the powder room (1.8x1 meter), small front entrance (1.3 x 1.23 meters) and kitchen (2.6 x 2 meters) on the main floor, we may be able to look at how we can accomplish all at the same time to reduce costs and optimize labor time.
I will work with ideas provided by the contractors to select the tub, tiles, vanity. I am very comfortable doing the painting however, demolition is not my specialty and any type of home renovations not my speciality.
Once completed and best outcome achieved, my son also has 2 bathrooms to be renovated, so potential for more work.
Many thanks,
Carole
Two piece bathroom to be expanded to three piece. Bathroom dimensions are 6 1\2' x 8'. Demolition and removal of 8 linear feet of wall. Floor retiling required. Drain relocation for toilet and shower in concrete floor required. Ceiling exhaust vent relocation required. Custom 5 sided shower, glass sided with tile base.
Our bathroom in our 1950's era home in SE Burlington needs to be gutted and redone.
* remove all plaster to studs (insulation above ceiling will need to be moved aside then put back in place)
* remove all existing tub, sink etc.
* drywall installed
* reposition and install toilet (rotate 90 degrees and move 8")(use existing toilet)
* install vent/exhaust fan
* prep floor for tile
* tile floor and grout
* install electric outlet
* replace window (approx 30" x 27")(white inside, black outside, frosted glass finish)
* install customer supplied vanity, cabinets and lighting)
* install standing shower instead of tub. We are unsure if we want to use a pre-fab shower pan with glass doors and tiled walls or a completely tiled shower with glass doors.
Please provide estimated start date and time required to complete project.
Our budget is $10K.
We have the bathtub in place but the drywall around the tub needs to be installed. In addition we have around 100 sqf of ceramic tiles to be installed (40 floor and 60 around the tub), toilet, vanity and sink, faucets and the plumbing (for the sink) - on the floor there is the 3/4 plywood and the cement board installed.
1) Tear out existing tub, faucets and walls surrounding the tub area
2) Insulate outside wall
3) Frame out wall niche
4) Install new soaker tub and faucets for shower
5) Install subway tile for tub surround
6) Install tile on bathroom floor
7) Grout all tile
8) Install Exhaust Fan
9) Replace Window
The items I will supply are:
1) Tub
2) Fixtures
3) Tile for tub surround
4) Tile for floor
5) Grout
6) Vent Fan
***The vanity & toilet are new and do not need to be replaced.
Thanks,
Jordan
Need to sell house, main bath needs updating. Currently have a plastic shower insert, cracking in some areas-ready to go. New tub, toilet, possibly new floor,vanity.Not sure of the square footage, not big, live in a small townhouse. Need the job done fairly quickly as I need to put on the market asap.
109 inch by 55 inch plus bathtub (30" X 58") . Need a 72" wide vanity single sink (nice top). Ceramic tile floor and tub enclosure. Tile all walls estimate and another estimate on tile half way up wall, paint other half. (90" ceiling). Need tub, toilet, baseboard and moulding. Also new door and frame. Home built in the 60's.
Hello,
I am looking for a contractor to complete a bathroom renovation in the north burlington area. The work involves replacing an old bathtub with a new bath/shower insert as well as replacing the floor tile. Some drywall and floor trim will also require replacing. I will also consider replacing a pedestal sink with a sink base depending on the cost.
I am looking to have the work completed within the next month, however I am flexible for the right contractor.
While our bathroom layout is good, the ceiling (and possibly behind the tiles) has developed a mold problem.
What I would like to do is remove the existing toilet and sink/vanity and reuse them (since they are in good condition) remove the drywall, tile and possibly the subfloor (depending on condition) and redo what we have.
I would like a new tub with an enclosure instead of tile. I believe the tub was installed incorrectly as a DIY by the last owner as it moves ever so slightly when you step into it.
However, I have no idea what such a thing would cost. We are getting a rather large tax refund this year and I am hoping that it will put a dent into the cost (since we need to deal with the mold).
Any insight is appreciated.
Need main bathroom in 30 year old townhouse re-done. Tub & tile have never been upgraded. Looking to upgrade tub & tile and floor. Preferred materials are tile for tub surround and floor. Don't know the size of the bathroom but it isn't too large ~12ft long and width of standard tub.
Also looking to replace carpet in master bedroom ~16'x12ft.
I have a small main level bathroom approx. 80 square feet that I need finished. Bathroom is gutted, partially insulated, has the electrical finished, and the sub-floor screwed in. I already have the vanity, towel rack, and storage shelves purchased.
What I need is a wall framed, insulated, new window installed, drywall throughout and tiles throughout. I also need a corner shower constructed, I'd like a half wall of tile and upper half glass or something along those lines, but that's something we can decide on. It's basically a roughed in bathroom that needs finishing, a nice job for a crew or individual who wants a quick project. Realistically, I'm looking for someone who can quote me a reasonable price for the job.
I also have an entire basement that needs to be finished after christmas so based on how the bathroom goes I'd have no problem giving that job to the same person as well instead of having to get a bunch of quotes again.
3 piece Renovation bath consisting of - Walk-in shower, with glass doors, toilet and 30" vanity. The room is completely tiled except for the ceiling and is approximately 5' X 7'. It's in need of a complete remodel. Would want a retiled walk-in shower with new glass doors and fixtures, new (high boy) toilet and new 30" vanity. Heated floor, new ceiling fixture and painted where necessary.
Our budget is between 5/10K
Single family detached home and we are the owners.
House built in 1957. Bathroom fixtures date from this period except for the toilet which is fairly new. Tub faucets are rusted and leaking. Tub itself is just very old. Mirror, Sink & Vanity simply old and out of date. Bathroom is on main floor beside kitchen and bedroom. Opens from front hall. Bathroom is fairly small but has toilet, sink and tub. Rough size is just 5' x 8'
Would like a quote on Tuesday if possible, because I am home that day. I can answer questions you might have today up until 4 p.m.
Looking for a home contractor renovate main floor bathroom in bungalow south of Lakeshore in Burlington. Bathroom size is 8`6" long x 7` wide. All of the bathroom ammenities have already been purchased and stored including mirror, sink, stone vanity top, vanity, and towel cabinet. Want to have a glass shower with a tiled base built in corner. The current towel rack on the left and the two walls on the right that are the closet to an adjacent bedroom are to be removed to maximize space. Tiled floor, waterproof drywall on walls and ceiling, new lighting, installation of fan, building of wall in adjacent bedroom to close off now non-existent closet, and painting are some of the jobs that will be required. It's really just your standard bathroom reno with the exception of a custom built shower and the knocking down of a wall. Also, if possible with the limited space installing a nice soaker tub or something along those lines. I am looking for a good contractor but one who also will be willing to negotiate a decent price. I have an entire basement that needs to be finished with a tv room, bar, and soundproofed, once this job is finished so depending on how well the bathroom goes it's more than likely I'll just get you to finish both if the price is right. I provide drinks, snacks, coffee, etc. and have always made my contractors feel right at home.
This is a job in Burlington. We have a smaller bathroom, which we want to renovate. It would involve removal of vinyl tile floor approximately 5 feet by 6 feet. and installation of ceramic floor tile. Replacement of 36 inch vanity, with associated plumbing and resetting of toilet bowl. There would be a requirement of removal of current mirror and setting of new medicine cabinet with mirror. Some wiring for lighting will also be required.
-Approximately 75 square foot upstairs bathroom
-removal of two walls to expand bathroom size
-complete reno with tiled floors, stand up glass shower, insulated, new ceiling lights, fan, bathroom window, bathroom door
-vanity, toilet, medicine cabinet, and upright towel unit already purchased and ready to go
-contractor must provide a few designs of different layouts and work together with us on selecting the best one for the space available
-we provide drinks, snacks, sandwiches etc, anything that makes the job easier for your renovators but in return all we ask is that its done right and built solid, you have no idea how many horrible contractors we've had throughout the years
-we are starting with the upstairs bathroom and if the job is done well we also have a 900 foot semi-finished basement that needs to have the ceiling soundproofed, new lights and drywall put up, floor tiled, tv room built, duct work
-the bathroom is the main focus and we'd like to get that done asap but once that is completed there are opportunities for a lot more work
