On Feb 6th, we noticed water marks on our dining room table. Our master bathroom is above the dining room, we called a plumber, the seal on the toilet was broken; it has since been replaced and fixed. However, we are not sure the extent of the damage and the plumber could not tell when he removed the toilet during his repair process. We know that water was dripping from the light fixture, it was not a sufficient amount of water.
We are wondering if someone can provide us with an estimate &/or recommendation on repairing our ceiling. We require this project to be completed by Feb 24, 2012.
Our house is around 27/28 years old. Our house is under 1500 square feet; not sure of the exact size of the dining room.
You can see a very slight crack in the ceiling, however I am not sure if that is related to this water damage (I recall seeing this a while ago)
Existing finished basement, stucco removed and retrofit pot lights installed. Job scope is to finish ceiling with smooth coat. No requirement for priming or painting. Minor repairs will be required (access holes cut for running electrical). Basement is finished (carpeted floor) but empty room. Room dimensions are 18'-2" x 8'-4". Looking to have the job completed before July 31st.
Our 3 Pc bathroom is about approx 12' by 6' and needs taken down to the studs and redone with new everything. This is our only bathtub and shower so it would have to be done fairly quickly.
We would like a flat drywall ceiling put up and painted over our stucco ceiling in our dining room and living room.
Looking for quotes on removal of popcorn from ceiling, either by wet and scrape method, skim coating or complete coverage with new drywall and taping/ mudding and finally painting it. Looking for a solution that can be completed over a weekend (hopefully!)
Roughly 30 x 50 foot section of ceiling.
I have several areas on main floor that have popcorn ceilings. Other areas are flat and painted but the popcorn areas are unpainted.
I have 9' ceilings throughout the house.
I would like the popcorn removed, the ceilings smoothed out flat and then painted.
I'm not handy with drywalling do this isn't a job I can tackle. I will clear out the areas of all furniture etc. The house is an 18yrs old Mattamy home if that's any help in terms of how much work is involved; the ceilings look flat....just covered in popcorn uglyness.
I have a popcorn type ceiling that has had a big area repaired in a poor fashion. I would like the ceiling repaired properly even if it means respraying the whole ceiling. It is not my property but I have the authority to get the repair done. I do not have measurements but the room is approximately 15 feet X 25 feet. There are currently 2 light fixtures in that area and it has a smooth border around the edges.
There is a leek or puddling of water on one slope of our roof. It has two layers of shingles which will need to be stripped off, vapor bariers put in place and plywood installed. This slow leek has manifested in mold on the ceiling of our bedroom which will need to be torn out and replaced with drywall. The house was built in the 50's so it is lathe and plaster. The bedroom is about 10.5 x 12.5 feet.
There appears to be moisture in a certain section of a bedroom ceiling on the second floor. The moisture is obviously coming from the attic and this needs to be repaired. I'm not sure if this is the right time of year to do this repair but the moisture is more evident in the winter months and tends to dry up in the summer.
The ceiling has stucco on it and to the touch it appears dry. But you can definately see the outline of the moisture.
I'm hoping that I could get a quote now while the moisture is still visible but have the work done in the spring when the weather is better.
I am looking for someone who can remove the popcorn ceilings and make them flat ceilings on the first floor of our new home. Our home is empty until the beginning of July and I am looking to get this project done prior to the end of June.
Please respond with a quote for 350 sq feet including removal of the popcorn ceiling, priming and painting (project from start to finish and move-in ready).
