We would like to install a bathroom fan in our master bathroom at our residence. The existing fan in the bathroom is located inside a toilet room and does not have sufficient suction to keep humidity from the showroom out. Therefore, we need another fan nearer to the shower area to make that possible. The two fans can be connected to the same switch but will require exhaust to be vented to the roof.
Hi there,
I have an approved building permit for a bedroom renovation and new deck project. My budget for this project is between $12000-$16000 (materials and labour). I am looking to start work as soon as possible as I have just had another contractor go MIA and not provide service after receiving a sizeable deposit for the job. I am looking for a contractor who is honest, reliable, punctual, upfront with timelines, scope of work and communications. Of course, I aim to be as open and honest with my expectations as well.
Here is a detailed scope of work (I will require these items to be included on a contract before we can proceed with work). I have also attached the approved Interior Renovation and Deck plans and a couple of images of the site.
* All materials to be supplied by contractor unless otherwise noted
** Client has secured a building permit. All work is to be completed in accordance with required City of Burlington inspections and comply with the Ontario Building Code

Hi, we have recently moved to a bungalow in Burlington that needs some upgrades and repairs. A high level summary of what needs to be done
1. Upgrade flooring on ground floor.
2. Kitchen cabinets
3. Build a new small washroom
4. Ceiling lights
5. Some minor repairs pointed out by home inspector
6. Re-do staircase between ground floor and basement
Would you be able to take up this project? If so, can you please provide us an estimate?
Thanks!
Looking into work involved and getting quotes to have the following work done:
- New 200-amp service/panel (currently 100-amp)
- Installation of ceiling light fixtures in 4 upstairs bedrooms (there are no ceiling fixtures currently - there are switched outlets instead).
House is 30-yrs old.
Please advise other relevant details/information that will help me in selecting an electrician for the job!
Thanks
I want to change the chandelier to the center of staircase and replace bathroom lights and dining area light. Dining area light is now connected to single switch that connects the kitchen light. There is a separate switch which we can use for giving individual connection to dining area light. Need to add GCI at 3 places.
Often hear popping sounds from stove, fridge etc. Do I need to update circuits/panel.
Also add/replace few fixtures: add light switch and couple of outlets, replace a fluorescent light ballast, replace a ceiling track light. And replace a couple of tight outlets, and ensure overall safety.
Would like someone to help install a new dining room light fixture we just purchased. Looking for someone who can come over on an evening or weekend in the next week. Not very handy and require some help with this special fixture.
Please get back to my as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Courtney
Hi,

Light in garage no longer works. There are two switches to this light. Circuit breaker all switches are in on position, Checked switches and light with a volt meter and it appears no power is going to light. This happened after a home inspection as we sold our house. Before the home inspection all was fine. When we returned after home inspestion it no longer worked.

I have a 100AMP Panel and want to install 200AMP service outside, where it will be split between my 100AMP main panel and second 80 AMP panel in my workshop. I have all the cables ready and just need all the work done to code and regulations. I don't have the panels, they will need to be provided.
Thank you
Hello,
I recently purchased a house. I discovered that many of the basement wall plates for electrical outlets as well as XLR connectors were ripped out of the wall in a very damaging manor. The area on the wall surrounding where the wall plates once were connected is damaged. Also the wires were cut down so short preventing me from doing an easy repair. I would like to get an estimate of how much it will cost to repair the electrical wiring in the basement.
Daniel
Thanks

Basement of a newer 2007 Valery built house in North Burlington needs Electrical Wiring.
Two main rooms recently framed. One office, one rec room, storage area, & furnace room.
Office (21'x11') - Would like ~4 pot lights, and maybe 2 circuit breaker connections as this room will need to be equipment ready for 2-3 computers, multiple monitors, and 1-2 printers/fax machines.
Rec Room (16'x10') - Also around 4-5 pot lights, and electrical setup for home entertainment system, and a desk area nook hookup for a laptop computer. Otherwise no major other electrical needs outside normal code.
Basic re-wiring of current light switches, so they are based one switch per room (one switch for entire basement now)
Possible extra receptacle in furnace room for future freezer.
Master Breaker Panel is in basement in furnace room.
So to run down again.. something like:
~10 pot lights in total
2 dimmer switches for pot lights, 2 regular dipole switchs for furnace room/nook area
maybe 15-18 electrical receptacles.
Approx 400-425 sq footage combined area for wiring needs.
Timeframe: The sooner the better.
Obviously cost is an issue, and I would like to entertain quotes, but certainly preference will be given to contractors that can get in as soon as possible, and have reasonable rates.
I work from home, so I am available at most times of the day to show the basement for detailed quoting purposes, best reachable by e-mail for inital offerrings.
If possible when contacting please include an availability schedule for when youcould start.
Thanks for looking. I can provide photos if needed for electricians outside the area to give estimation quotes over the Internet.
Electrical Panel has 3 extra 15 Amp breakers left from build, that are not connected.
Hello
I am seeking a certified electrician to replace my fuse panel with breakers.
I am currently in the process of moving out my previous tenants so I can move in so we may need to work around their schedule as I am hoping to have certain things completed prior to me moving in. Some appointments may be required to take place in the late afternoon/evening if possible. There are also a couple electrical outlets that may require replacing.
Thank you, Tracy
1. We need to install 2 of the following Garage Door Openers on both garage doors:
Chamberlain HP Whisper Drive Plus Garage Door Opener
2. Our house is about a year old. Our basement is unfinished and there is no wiring done other than the main electrical/cable box. We need at least two electrical outlets in other parts of the basement for TV and Treadmill etc.
We would like all this work done ASAP. Please provide quote for work above.
Thanks.
We currently have natural gas in our home but no line to the kitchen. We have just purchased a gas range and will need a gas line run for it and the range installed.
That area of the kitchen is over the unfinished furnace area of the basement, so the ceiling is open.
Please let us know how much this install would cost.
Thanks.
