I am building a detached garage 14ft x 25ft. According to the city of Burlington, I have to pour a 4ft foundation as well as a breezway with a foundation attached to the house. This is due to setback issues (attached vs detached). The breezway also needs a min 4ft foundation which is then attached to the house (now the garage is considered attached) The breezeway will be 4.5ft x 5ft. I am just looking for a quote on pouring the foundation.
thanks
I require a contractor to dig a foundation and build a block foundation wall to extend an existing garage, the current garage is 20x12 and we need to extend it back another 18 ft. The permits should all be in place for early September. To enter the back yard the foundation company will need to come through the garage we will remove the back wall. Dig foundation, footings, block foundation wall, and pad......... permits will be in place 3 rd or 4th week of September, job is located in Appleby line and New St Burlington
We would like a quote on installing an access door to our basement from our backyard. Our backyard slopes down significantly from one side of the house to the other, and on the side where the new door is to be installed the brick and foundation follow the downward slope - so there will only be a couple feet of excavation required to install the door.
The door is required to provide backyard access into the basement without steps. This will allow us to easily move yard equipment, furniture, bikes, BBQ, etc. into basement storage easily. The door must be on the same level as the existing basement floor and the new entrance pad from the backyard should be just below the level of basement pad (i.e. no steps).
An existing window, brick and foundation will have to be cut out in order to install the new door, as well as the installation of a proper lintel, and any necessary brick repairs, re-framing, finishing, etc. The job will also likely require the installation of a concrete pad with a drain (approx. 5'X5' pad). One side will likely require a 2-foot retaining wall. Poured concrete and rebar ideally.
Lighting Rough-in
Rough-in a electrical box for a light into the brick beside the door. No electrical wires, or hook-up required.
We are looking for an experienced contractor that can ensure the job will be trouble-free, cover the necessary safety and structural concerns, avoid basement leaks, provide quality finishing, etc.
Clean-up & Disposal
Excavate as needed then dispose of extra debris from site. Cut break and dispose of concrete/brick walls and debris.
Timeframe
We would like to get this project done in within the next month or so if possible, but we are flexible to wait for the right contractor.
Age of House
The house is 2 years old.
Please call for more information if required.
We are building a 20' x 20' addition to the side of our home. We want a full basement to tie into the existing basement (with only a doorway to enter the new basement). The foundation of our existing basement is an older block foundation but it has recently been repaired and waterproofed. The new foundation would need expert waterproofing and weeping tile as we live in a wet area and have mostly clay soil.
