I have a corner room on the first floor of my house, size 9 feet x 8 feet. It currently has a carpet installed over a concrete slab floor. I would like to have the carpet removed, install 2" thick insulation sheet and build a sub-floor for vinyl sheet flooring. The job should include - (1) removal of carpet/padding, (2) cleanup of concrete floor, (3) install polyethylene film, (4) install 4 x 4 pressure treated wood around the room and in the middle, (5) install 2" insulation sheets within the wood structure, (6) install a 0.75" sub-floor over the 4 x 4s. Vinyls sheets will be installed by the flooring company.
Have permit to build a 2nd story on an existing bungalow. From a framing perspective. Drawings require a topper installed to increase main floor ceiling height, new floor joists to support 2nd story, 2nd story framing (Walls, ceiling joists, etc.) and roof. Need to coordinate with framers to make sure they can commit to date to limit time between demolition, truss delivery and closing home from weather elements.
Looking to have someone who has great track record, proven experience in all facets of this job and insured.
We're professional people that are great to work with. Very big on handling challenges as a team to come up with solutions that work!

A Coat closet needs to be built

Box around the HVAC in the basement
Upstairs:
An 8’10” opening needs to be made in a load bearing wall (above this wall is the attic).
If a beam was needed for the above opening (e.g. if the trusses are not full span) then box in the beam with drywall

We are a not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and promoting homeownership as a means to breaking the cycle of poverty. We build affordable housing through the construction of homes using volunteer labour and donated materials and trades services wherever possible.
Our strategic plan is to build 75 homes in 5 years (2014 - 2019). We are currently seeking a framing partner to finish framing the 2nd floor, complete framing of the 3rd floor including the floor joists, installation of pre-fab roof trusses, roof truss framing and roof sheathing for a 13 townhouse complex in Burlington, Ontario at 1325 Plains Rd. Because we rely on the generosity of professionals who provide us with Gift in Kind and trade rates, we hope you will consider providing us with a quote that allows us to keep our construction costs to a minimum. Hello,
There are two things I need done:
1) The inside frame of my front door needs to be replaced. Due to an emergency I had to forcefully enter the front door leaving the inside frame destroyed, the door itself and everything on the outside is fine.
2) Kitchen sink faucet replaced. It has been leaking for a while and is also quite old. The sink itself is okay, just the faucet.
Thank you very much!

Second level framing quote
Hi
We're interested in obtaining a quote for May 2023 to frame and sheath a new second level, including stair landing, rear addition, and roof on our existing 1.5 storey house.
We're currently in the variance process before getting a building permit for the proposed renovation early next year.
The house will be provided to the framing company with the existing second level demolished down to floor joists, including the existing chimney and vent stack. A new rear foundation wall and slab on grade will be ready for the rear bump out addition.
Scope of framing and sheathing;
- New rear addition ground level bump out walls connecting to existing main level walls.
- New second level subfloor
- New second level stair landing framing and subfloor
- Modify existing stairs (removing 5 winders)
- New second level exterior walls
- New second level interior walls (framing only)
- New second level roof (framed on site front shed dormer, rear main, rear gable end)
- Rough openings for second floor windows, doors and attic vents should be included in scope
- Rough openings for rear addition windows and doors should be included in scope
Not in scope;
- Existing main level modifications not in scope
- Decks, deck posts, and canopies are NOT in scope
Please advise on availability and pricing.
The floors in 3 bedrooms and a hallway are very squeaky. We need to get the carpet taken up, the floors screwed down to stop the squeaks, and the carpet stretched and reinstalled correctly. The house is approximately 40 years old and is a 4 level backsplit, so the floors that squeak are directly over the family room, which makes them very noisy. Can this problem be fixed? If so, how long would it take and what would the cost be for this project?
I wanted to inquire about your availability to scope out your perspective and estimate on a sub-floor/tile addition to our place. ( We have purchased all the tile )
It's roughly 205 sq. feet and subfloor is off level in certain area's. Want to address level to assure longevity and prospect to the tile that glosses the top of the floor space.
We live in Burlington (Guelph line and Dundas) and were hoping you might be able to swing by and asses the project if your available.
Dave
