For the kitchen, new cabs, half a wall comes down, one doorway filled in, another widened.
For bathroom, its a straight reno, not much to do other than install what we have already picked out after the demo to the studs.
we are remodeling our kitchen.there is a wall seperating the back entrance and the kitchen . This wall is being riped out. the stairs leading down to the back door need to be move up to make the floor level. Also the back door is going to be need to move up and become level with the floor. There is also a room going into the dinning room that is moving over and being made smaller. there is also electricity work to be done. The wiring it the old style and need to be replaced and wiring to be moved. there is also some plumbing. we also would like our floor replace with ceramic tile.
We recently had a fire and it resulted in the upper kitchen cabinets coming down. The work we need to be done is as follows:
1) replace vent from microwave
2) re-install existing upper cabinets
3) re-install microwave
There is no damage to the existing cabinets so all we need is someone to come in and put them back up.

The room is approx 220 square feet
I would like slate tiles, wood cabinets, granite counter top, tiled backsplash, copper sink.
I will be changing the layout of the kitchen to an L shape. Curently, my kitchen is divided to accommodate for an eat in area, but I want to remove the sink and counter which divide the room and put against the wall to form the L shape. No walls need to be put up or demolished.
The house is approx 11 years old.
I have a 30 year old townhouse that requires a kitchen reno. Id like to tear out the existing kitchen and replace everything. It is a small kitchen 11" by 8'. Im planning on selling the home this spring and planning the reno to increase the value with a new kitchen. Definately not looking for mid-high end reno as this is strictly being done for resale.
Details - replace cabinets, countertops, lay down ceramic tile flooring, backsplash and add a dishwasher and small island (4'x2' - cost permitting).
As a cost saving measure, im also willing to do the demo on the existing kitchen.
50 yr old bungalow with a small galley kitchen. Would like to open it up to the dining room. Wall that seperates the kitchen and dining room houses the stove and fridge. Would also like to change the dining room window to french doors.
Would like a simple, but classic, clean look to our kitchen.
Also thinking of changing the back half of our garage into a mudroom that would enter our house. This is not a priority right now, but would like to know if it is possible to do.
We are looking for Kitchen Renovation. The home is a traditional side split with the wall between the kitchen and living room, we would like to remove this wall. There is a structural post in the corner, we would like to keep this and tie into an island. There is no venting in the wall being removed. The kitchen is a small 10 x 10'size. We have a quote on cabinetry from ikea but are open to custom. Appliances will be supplied. We are demo ing the kitchen to the studs therefore the work would include tiling, relocating electrical and plumbing into the island for dishwasher, cabinetry install, back splash install, drywall paint and finish, and install/refit (there are already 4 in the kitchen).
We are using a Purchase Plus Improvements Mortgage so the job would need to be arranged with the majority of the amount due at after completion. We take possession of the house early July so we will need quote ASAP.
Renovation of a large kitchen with stock/assembled cabinets. Looking for a quote to measure and install the cabinets and moldings (crown, undermount, kick).
Existing granite countertop will need to be reinstalled on top of new cabinets.
Old cabinets will already be removed and area cleaned.
We have just purchased a this home and this is the first of many renovations to be done in the near future.
I have bleeched oak cupboards in my kitchen and they are in very good shape. I would like to have someone spray paint them white (or a different colour) to modernize the look. I feel the bleeched oak is a bit dated. I believe these are about 15 years old, so a refreshing new look plus new knobs is all I think I will need. The countertop also needs to be replaced and we are thinking of granite. Could someone please get back to me with contact contractor information in the Burlington, Ontario area. Thanks
House is about 18 years old. No previous renovations. We hope to have someone that can commit to starting the project and completing within a decent time-frame - we do not want to live in "construction zone" for weeks.
We want to move / get rid of cupboards, back plash, change flooring in all bathrooms and foyer. Remove closet to increase space in foyer.
Hope to have project started week of May 10, 2009 and completed within week if possible.
We have just purchased a house in Mountain Side area of Burlington and are looking for open up the existing kitchen, dining room and living room into a single space. The kitchen needs to be replaced, the flooring needs to be done and several walls need to be taken down. In updating the kitchen, we are hoping to move to a gas stove from the current electric. The flooring is old hardwood with tile in the main hallway, which we are looking at updating.
The square footage is as follows:
Eat-in Kitchen - 11'2" x 12'
Dining Room - 9' x 12'
Family Room - 14'2" x 14'11"
The other key piece is timing. We are overlapping the month of May with our current rental to hopefully have the work completed in that time. Therefore we would like to have the work completed by mid-to-late May, prior to us moving in.
In terms of budget, we are not 100% sure of what the costs could be, however we are hoping to keep it around $15,000 if possible.
If you can let me know if this seems like a possibility for your company, I'd like to talk further about designs, etc. and hopefully bring you out to the home. If you wanted to see the layout, we have some photo's we can send over.
Thank you in advance.
