Hi! I would like to get married in my grandparents' backyard. They live on Mill Creek Rd. and the creek is in the backyard. I would like to be married in August, but I would need to have a platform built to cover the yard so that my guests wouldn't be soaked in the damp grass of the backyard. I am looking for a place to put a tent, as well as a walkway to and from the house...
Please contact me for more details.
Thank you,
Lindsay
We have an existing deck which is too small, and as it is 30 years old it needs to be replaced.
We'd like a bigger deck that would require some working around an existing retaining wall that was made of railway ties. It needs to be upgraded. We would like to have a deck that was low to no maintenance.
In the future we think we'd like to extent the deck across the back of the house.
Hello,
We are looking for a contractor to tackle a new deck build by either removing or expanding the current deck (~10'x12').
The new single level deck will sit around 25' x 15' built from pressure treated lumber. Additions include privacy type fencing, bench seating and stairs.
Am interested in obtaining quotes to remove old decking, re-use deck base structure and expand the deck to wrap around house to back door. I am also interested in having the main part of the deck partially covered for shade and am open to suggestions. Having the ability to use screening to protect from mosquitos is also an option. Current deck is about 10' x 15'. The structure is in good condition but decking will need to be removed. My rough estimate without measuring expansion is about another 350 to 400 sq. feet of deck. It will require a step down to tie into the back door. The height of the lower deck will certainly be lower than 24" which may allow for some flexibility in base structure and footing styles.
I'm thinking of using pressure treated wood for base a joists etc. and am interested in quotes for cedar decking and above deck posts etc.
I am looking to have my deck done it is 600 sq ft 30 ft wide and 20 long. I would like to have a privacy fence on either side of the deck so people left and right can't see and railings in the front of deck. The deck in only about 2 ft above ground but the post are not in ground which I would prefer. I would also like a gate at the top of the stairs. For material i was hoping for a vinyl type depended on price. Also the original deck will have to be removed.
Was done 20 years ago but wasn't sealed properly so I know there is some rot underneath. I would like a quote to come replace what needs it, then put new plywood down and I would like the dura decking (pool liner) reapplied (new) and new flashing installed to seal it properly.
I am purchasing some land approx 2.5 acres and putting a house trailer on it, I will need a fence around the whole 2.5 acres. I have dogs that I want contained and safe from the road, I would like a quote for a wood fence, chain link fence with 2 gates, what ever else is out there but it must be high enough so the dogs can jump or climb over it. Then I will need a deck build and some other jobs needing done but lets start off with the fence first so could I have some quotes please.
Thx
K
We would like to lower our front porch by 7 inches. It's constructed of wood.
The dimensions of the porch right now are 51 inches wide, 222 inches long and 21 inches tall. It is along the front of the house which is 222 inches long and there is some coverage of one side of the width of the porch (40 inches). So the total length of all the railings is 223.5 inches (11,32,68,67.5,47) with 4, 3 inch wide posts. The step gap in the railing is 34 7/8 wide. And there is a post that is over 6 feet tall and 4 inch wide holding up the over hang of the porch.
If the cost of lowering the deck is more than the cost of a new deck we would like to have a new deck. And would consider a none wood option.
Wondering for a quote of deck replacement. Already have most of materials, just unexpected hiccups in original build, need to replace whole thing. Deck size is 12'x24' rectangle. Already have 14 joists, 25 deck boards, railings, balusters, 3 stringers, and deck screws. I can remove old deck.
I'm looking at getting deck railing put in around the second most top level of my deck for my pool. I would also like to install a gate that swings and locks.
I've attached and example of what I was thinking from google, and have two pictures of the deck. I don't have the dimensions just yet, but would like an approximation of how much this could cost.
Thanks,
I have a front cement porch that I would like to take the railing off, cover the existing porch with a deck and extend it across the front of my house. I would like all new railings all the way around as well as new steps.
I am the property owner. The deck across the front would be approximately 8' out from the house and it would end up being approximately 16.5' feet across
Repair of 5 step concrete staircase plus addition of stone effects
Retiling ~80-100sq.ft porch at top of stairs; Minor tile cutting required but mostly fitted already; previous tile need to be torn up - most already loose which is why we're redoing them
Tiles and stone effects already purchased.
We're looking for a quote for the above. The job would also include some masonry repairs at various retaining walls (minor) Too ad hoc to describe for an online quote.
I have a older home built around 1938-1940 . On the house a side porch with a roof attached to the house. The porch's post needs to be replaced. This is causing the roof of the porch to pull away from the house and twist . The stairs on this porch also need to be replaced. We need this to be fixed ASAP before it causes major damage to the main part of the house. I would like someone to come out to the house and gives us a cost for the job.
Thank you
Kevin
We are interested in having a two-tier deck designed and built on our property.
The first tier would be roughly 6 feet above the ground, about 18 feet long running directly along the house and about 9 feet deep (away from the house). The second tier would be just above the ground but the size is undecided (and the measurements of the first tier may change too depending on the design ideas). We will need stairs with a landing mid way too.
Thanks,
Marsela
the house is recently 100 years old, built in 1907.
we have a full wooden verandah across the front.
althought this was attended to about 27 years ago the post platforms and the floor ahve begun to deteriorate and it also appears as though the main piling under the floor has begun to drift as well.
the main verandah is still structurally sound but needs attention before winter.
Also to impead your way is a mature garden surrounding the structure. we are willing to move some of the plantings but any heavy machinery is out of the question.
we currently have a stone structure for stairs leading to the verandah which i will remove but would like it replaced with a wooden stairway.
I would also prefer to deal with a contractor from Cambridge so that i may easily check their work credentials and ethics.
The Lattice work below is also in need of replacement and i do not want the typical PT lattice from Home Depot etc.
there is a certain amount of victorian detail that i would like prserved in this renno.
please email to arrange for an on-site quote.
Thanks.
