I'm looking to connect my transfer switch to my outside L14-30 inlet box. Installation must be to code as I am having ESA to inspect it.
Transfer switch will be already wired up to main load center.
Scope of work
- Drill hole through brick/concrete block
- run conduit if required
- run 220V wires to 6 meters through semi finished basement ceiling to transfer switch
The kit I have is a Reliance Controls 306CRK 6 circuit transfer switch. The transfer switch will be wired up before electrician arrives. Materials missing from the kit are 10 gauge wiring from inlet box to transfer switch and conduit if required.
Hello,
I am looking for a licensed electrician and ESA certification to have 30A manual transfer switch installed and connected to my 200A panel.
Current 200A panel is installed flush against a finished wall in basement. I need a contractor to cut out finished wall, install switch and wire up switch to 6-10 circuits, then wire up and drill through block wall to install inlet plug on outside wall. All loads to be connected to transfer switch are 15A or 20A @ 120V. There are NO 240V loads to be connected.
Inlet plug will be located approximately 10-15 feet away from transfer switch.
I will provide:
- Generac 6294 Switch kit (incl: 30A switch panel with 6-10 switches, Exterior Inlet box and L14-30R cord to generator)
- 60A 2 pole breaker for load center/main panel
- 15A or 20A breakers for transfer switch (to replace any mismatching breakers in transfer switch to load center breakers)
Contractor to install transfer kit and provide 10-15ft of 10 Gauge cable to connect inlet box to transfer switch.
Thanks
Kevin
We have a current project requiring replacement of 2 existing light fixtures, installation of a vanity light above new sink, replacement of an existing GFI and installation of a new bathroom exhaust fan. The house is 80 yrs old and still has some knob and tube although some has been upgraded. We would need the work completed ASAP and you would be responsible for obtaining the permit. We require a quote before moving forward with the work.
A wire runs from the breaker panel in basement through the back wall of the basement and up the back wall the house. That one wire is split into 2 to enter the back wall of the 2 bedroom that are side by side. On entering the rooms the wires are attached to 3 pin power points. The problem is when I use a heater in one room and a hair dryer in the other, the breaker trips. The breaker panel is a Commander and I under there is room for 2 desperate wires, one in each room. The panel is about 7 feet from the back wall of the basement.
