We need to replace three deteriorating carport support (steel) posts. The base area for each post has been cleared for driveway replacement and they're easliy accessible
All three steel support posts for the carport have rusted through at the base and will require immediate replacement. Each are approx. 6' high and 3" in diameter with a concrete base
Hello,
I have 3 carport posts. They are metal with a black coating. The bottom 2-3 feet of the posts are encased in soil, and the soil is encased with bricks and mortar to hold it all together.
The portion of the posts inside and slightly above the surface of the soil is rusting and falling apart. I would like an estimate to remove the existing posts and replace them with new metal posts.
We have a few jobs needed around our home:
1. We would like to build a permanent, nice looking carport
2. We would like to extend a wood fence up one side of the property (approx 5 ft high and 40 feet long) plus a gate
3. We would like to replace the kitchen cupboard doors and drawers - just refacing
4. We would like to replace the counter top and put in a new sink
5. Installation of a front storm door and 4 interior doors
6. Replacing and overhead light/fan with track lighting
Ideally we would love to hire one group to do everything and do it all it once but we could also divide it up.
Construction of a detached garage
Size: 20 x 40, with an upper level storage area. One maybe 2 skylights depending on cost. 2 garage doors, with 2 single doors and 1 double door
I would like the exterior to be hardie board on 2 sides and aluminun siding on the other 2.
A new slab will also be needed.
email me if interested (with rough estimate if possible) then I can send a more detailed
drawings.
Thank-you
The double car port is to be constructed on existing drive way on the side of the property. The drive way is paved though will need resurfacing either using asphalt or concrete.
Pressure Treated Wood construction and A roof with a slant angle towards the side of the property (ie Not just a flat roof) is preferred.
Can start the project within 2 weeks if the price is right.
Level grade, pour slab, build 2 car detached garage to comfortably fit 2 full size suv's. Also room for at least one motorcycle, lawnmower, snow blower, workbench. Will need to feed electrical from panel in the house.
Also a side entrance (man door) would be an option along with a window.
Just bought the house without a garage. It's a deep lot and most of the garages in the neighbourhood are in the back of the lot.
I have a 30'X30' 2 door garage that is approximately 50 years old. It's a 2X4 wood structure built directly on grade - no foundation that I can see. It's is slightly leaning to one side (could be sinking and not leaning, I can't tell). The floor is random large patio stoneslaid directly on grade (no concrete). There is a large window and double man door on one side.
I want to discuss two options - a complete teardown and rebuild, versus fixing the structure by temporarily lifting it and pouring a foundation/floor underneath.
I am handy enough to consider doing parts of the work myself, so would be open to suggestions to limit costs as well.
I can send pictures if it would save you a visit.
We would like to add a brick garage to the house with a bedroom and ensuite on top of it. We have a bedroom now that is being used as a storage room and we feel it could be the area used to allow access from the house into the garage and also the access into the upper bedroom. We are looking for estimates to know if it is something that we can afford to do. We also understand that we will need drawings but before we pay for the drawings we want to make sure that it is a project we are 100% invested in. The house is about 50 years old and the area where the garage would be is approx 10' x 14'.
Garage addition, attached to an existing house. 4.55 m by 9.12 m space. One of the existing windows has to be moved. Foundation has to be dug out and has to tie in to the existing foundation of the house. Peaked roof needs to be tied in. Largely unfinished inside but some electrical necessary for garage door and light fixtures and heat fixtures. Finishing with stucco and stone and tie-in to the house. I have the complete architectural drawing and permit issued so job is fully permitted and ready to go.
Hi Guys ..
I posted here before and got responses but all responses were all over the place except one which im still considering.
Here is the project..
Take down an old garage approx. 17X14... dispose.
Then
Build a slab on grade and build a 14 X 26 garage.
Electricity is there already... Garage will have a side man door and a window....a regular roof 6on 12 is fine.. NOT A FLAT ROOF
You can provide me with the drawings, and I can submit to the city hall in etobicoke or you can do it all.
Give me an honest price all in.. no hidden fees..
I know I can subcontract out but I need a company /person that can do it all.
Simple project
Please reply with a price ..
Im not going to call anyone and waste their time if there is no price given
Thank You very much
Jim
I have a totally wood garage in the etobicoke area.. It is only a one car garage and the structure is somewhat tiltin ...a very little so i need to restraighten it by ...Read below...
Here is what we need to do.... have repairs done to it by lifting the roof and making the structure a foot taller and setting the structure back on to 4 6x6 posts one in each corner of the structure which you will dig Plum straight and Set the roof back on...
if any of the 2X4 are to be used we can make a small top shelf to store items.. if it will not interfere with the car.... plus use them in a criss cross patern to strenghten the structure even more instead of trashing them...
from there you will have to reframe and do the siding outside...
the garage door we can either arrange for you to do or ill take cate ofit..
poissibility of having a garage door on the back of the garage also ...to make a drive through to the back of the lot for boat storage...
also after doing that the eavedroghs have to be redone on it..
If it is possible to give me a quote here it would be appreciated..
Im not sure if this project is possible but if it is .. geve me an about figure.. i will not hold u to the last penny on it..
Hi,
Looking for someone to repair existing detached garage / shed. The garage is roughly 16x25ft with cinderblock walls sitting on a gravel flooring. Looking to raise roof roughly 4ft. Total height would match city requirements at 14ft. Also looking to have a concrete pad poured. Currently gravel. I am located at Kipling and Lakeshore
More that happy to have a call to discuss further.
Replacing old garage the is 13' x 24' with a new structure. Old garge is wood frame with gravel floor. Area is level but will need prep for concret pad. New size would be 16" (width of driveway) by 32' or max allowed by permit. Would like oversized single door, man door on side to yard, couple of small windows high on the south wall. have one large window for end that will be need to be installed (removed from house to install door). Need 220V panel run to garage, available on panel in house.
How much will a 1 car garage 12'-14' x 20' cost on pitch ground/driveway? Garage will have insulation, 1 side door, windows (separate or with garage door) Built in space saving standard shelving. NO Automatic Garage Door Opener to be installed. Age of house is 50 yrs approx. Garage can be attached or detached, however if attached, NO alterations on the house can be done, except to link separate side entrance door of the house to the garage.
Materials - PREFAB Garage KIT can be purchased from RONA, or other building store that provides quality and economical price materials
Demolish existing wood frame garage (12 ft x 16 ft + 2 ft extension at rear), 3 ft wide roof overhang for wood pile along north elevation, carriage doors.
Remove existing concrete dirt floor (12 x 18) and 8€ tree stump at southeast corner of existing garage.
Remove demolished garage etc from site.
Prepare ground and pour 12 x 19 floating concrete floor for new garage.
Construct 12 x 19 wood frame garage with James Harding lap siding (or equivalent).
Retain existing 1 ft setback from south property line, requires fire resistent wall.
Overhead garage door on west elevation.
Man door on north or east elevation.
1 window on north or east elevation.
Option for roof overhang to protect wood pile on north or east elevation.
Max height =3.7m to a point halfway up the surface of a pitched roof and 2.5 m to the top of the walls.
The existing garage does not have electricity. It is located 8 ft east of the house rear elevation and approx 30 ft from electrical. Existing electrical panel has a distribution panel rating of 125 amps and a service size of 100 amps. Allowance for electrical upgrade may be required as well as bringing electrical to garage.
Allowance for fine grading, sodding around new garage.
Prepare drawings for municipal approvals.
The asphalt driveway will need to be resurfaced following construction.
I have an old 1-car garage that needs replacement. I will demo the old one, and I need a contractor to build a new one, including pouring a concrete pad, as the old garage one doesn't have one.
The new garage will also be a 1-car, approximately 12' X 20'. The garage must have 1 garage door, 1 side entrance door, and 1 window.
The exterior will be vinyl siding.
