Good afternoon, I recently found out my bathroom exhaust fans vented into the attic. I had 2 roof vents installed. One over each bathroom. I need the insulated flex connected to the existing venting from the fans to the new roof vents. I have all materials. Could you provide a price for this?
Hi,
My basement is cold during winters although the basement is finished and recently I had changed the furnace to a new one. The main floor and the upper floors are warm and cozy during winters, whereas the basement, which has its vents on its ceiling throws hot air downwards which does not reach the floor nor keep its surroundings warm. I have a fireplace in the chimney, which is not being used. Please check and advise, how I could keep my basement warm during winters. Should I add another gas furnace to the basement alone or what is the requirement, Please evaluate and advise.
Thanks,
Mohan
- The house is over 65 years old
- the bathroom is roughly 50 sqft
- the roof above the ceiling is flat
- we want to avoid the exhaust from exiting the front of the house, so we would like it to exit to the side or through the roof
- the exterior walls are made out of siding
- this is a new install, so there is no existing fan, piping or electricity
- the walls/ceiling is made out of plaster
- circled in the house picture is where the bathroom is located
Looking to have a dual-head heat pump installed in a reno project (2x9000btu heads).
- The room will be partitioned into 2 and we will have one unit on either side of the dividing wall.
- The line set would need to run about 10 feet in from the exterior wall to the first head and then another 10-15 feet to the second head.
There is already electrical on the side of the house where the exterior unit will be.
This is the primary heat source for the space and it requires a unit which can work down to low temps.
recently bought bungalow built in 1940's and did not realize one of the rooms did not have a radiator. House is heated with cast iron radiators that use water to heat. I am ok with the present system and would just like to add one in this room. If the price is manageable I would add to the basement room too.
The room is 10x10x8ft and has a sliding door that leads to backyard. If It is affordable a slimmer radiator would be preferable.
We need to replace all three of these units. To give you an idea of the size of furnace and A/C required we live in a fairly standard size bungalow from the 1950's, your basic three bedrooms on the main floor deal. The water heater is currently an electric unit and built into the closet under the basement stairs, which will necessitate further renovations. For now we want to leave the old water heater where it is but disconnect it. We want to put the new water heater near the furnace and for it to be gas. There will have to be some piping put in so we can connect the new water heater to the old lines. Also, we are interested in exploring different options for water heaters, such as a tankless model.
Hello,
we are changing oil heating to gas, and as such need to remove oil tank and furnace. Heating radiant I need to remove as well but I posted it in another project.
Ideally want someone reistered with TSSA due to possibility of soil contamination concern.
Oil tank is already empty - furnace stopped to work.

I'm looking for a quote on a new A/C and Furnace. Our townhouse is 1700 sq ft. the furnace is natural gas. I prefer Lennox and Carrier products but I'd be interested in other companies like American Standard . Please include warranty info. I know Lennox has the every 2 yr maintenance requirement to maintain warranty. Also please let me know what kind of time frame i'm looking at for install if we go forward with you. I prefer Emails.
Thank you.
Rob
I require to relocate my gas furnace (8ft from where it is currently positioned) and install a new Air conditioner. However I get a major discount with Carrier products, it includes equipment and installation hardware (pipes etc.). If you can work with me on this, specifically labor, I would like you to come in see the job and provide a quote.
We’re looking at installing a second natural gas furnace and A/C unit in our house.
Background. We have an older, two storey home built in the 1950s in central Etobicoke. A large addition was built in the 1970’s doubling the square footage of the house. The furnace / AC unit is located at the far end the of basement of the older section of the house.
There’s extensive duct work running 40’ feet from the furnace to the far end of the newer section of the basement where the duct work feeds the two upstairs bedrooms. The temperature differential between these two bedrooms and the bedrooms in the older section of the house is between 7 and 10 degrees.
The basement is largely unfinished.
We’d like to consider adding a second furnace and A/C unit in order to mitigate the temperature variation between the older and newer sections of the house, especially on the second floor and to remove approximately 11’ of ductwork in the older section of the basement that we’d like to turn into a family room.
We currently have an American Standard two stage, 100,000 BTU Furnace / AC unit installed 4 years ago. We’d like to hold onto this furnace if possible as it’s probably not worth it to replace the unit with a smaller newer furnace and A/C unit.
Must haves:
1. Improved air circulation / temperature to newer section of second floor;
2. Reputable furnace brand: Ideally, American Standard / Trane but will consider Napoleon and possibly Goodman.
3. Minimum 5 year parts and labour warranty.
