House built circa 1990.
Bathroom original to construction; original builder's grade materials.
approximately 14' x 10' (140 square feet)
Want to replace the tub, tub surround tiles, toilet, sink, vanity, floor, sink and taps, exhaust fan.
Already purchased soaker tub. Needs to be hooked up to main electrical panel.
Considering two sinks. Ceramic floor.
There has been some water damage to sub floor approximately 4 sq feet.
Our intent is to upgrade materials. Better than builder's grade but not high end. We want a nice, comfortable, clean functional bathroom for a family of three. We anticpate being in the house another 7-10 years. We don't want to over improve but also want a renovation that will maintain resale value.
I'm a prospective home buyer looking to renovate the lower level of a back-split house into a legal accessory apartment between March-April. For the bathroom (5'7"x9'), I'm looking to change it from a 3 pc to a 4 pc bathroom by replacing the standing shower with a bathtub, as well as replacing the vinyl floor with ceramic or porcelain tiles. The kitchen will be in a 10'6"x10'6" space on the lower level of a back-split that is 10'6"x25'11" in total. The renovations will include removing outdated wallpaper and stucco from the walls, installing kitchen cabinets on a 10'6" length wall with laminate countertops, installing a stacked washer/dryer, and laying laminate floors.
Additionally, I also require a rough-in for a sink to be placed in the main level kitchen.
Specific skills required include plumbing for installing rough-ins, an electrician for adding on electrical outlets, and a general contractor for the floors and remainder of the kitchen. I've included the drawings and dimensions for the kitchen installation.
We are looking to install a new 4-piece bathroom on the 2nd floor of a 130-year old house in Guelph. Currently there is only 1 bathroom, located on the main floor. Plumbing/servicing will need to be piped up to 2nd floor, as well as walls removed/rebuilt to accommodate new layout (currently 3 bedrooms and small landing upstairs). Budget approximately $25k.
Our current bathroom is not only very very small (like one person at a time in the room small) but UGLY.
What I'm thinking for the bathroom is: tile on the wall, paint, ventilation fan, pedestal sink, trim. Possibly: new tub and shower, door, and floor.
This room is the size of most people's closet (if not smaller). the width of the room is the length of a bathtub. Lenght or the room, is the width or a tub, door and 24" vanity.
HELP!!!
Have just bought a 1960 house with finished basement. The basement bathroom contains a shower cubbyhole but no bath. I would like to have the cubby ripped out and the area converted to a finished bath and shower combo with surround. Room dimensions approx 5'x9' but I'm only looking for the shower section to be converted.
Replace existing drywall, new floor tiles. I will purchase flooring tiles, but would expect contractor to purchase drywall. Dimensions for replace drywall is approx. 7' by 5'. Painting also required. Tub and shower already completed by bath fitters. Paint color TBD.
I am property owner.
We are looking to renovate our two bathrooms and kitchen for a more modern look. We have an upstairs bathroom with a standard tub/shower, toilet, and pedestal sink. Potentially looking to incorporate a larger vanity with two sinks in that bathroom, a new shower/tub combination and general upgrades to the tile, etc. The existing space would be more than sufficient for that renovation.
Additionally, we have a smaller bathroom in the basement that has a shower, toilet, and sink that we would like to renovate. We would be looking for a new vanity, shower stall, etc. We want the renovations to be simple, nothing too extreme. Finally, we require an updated kitchen; our cabinets are original to the house and look tired and worn.
We are hoping to start work on these projects ASAP.
Existing molded bathtub/shower combo installed when the bungalow was built in the 90's, in a framed studded enclosure in our basement.
We wish to replace this unit with a walk-in low-step, or no-step shower in the existing area which will accommodate a 34" deep X 50" wide shower.
We are considering two (2) options as follows:-
1. Framed and tiled shower enclosure on three sides and with left hand opening hinged or siding glass doors.
2. Prefabricated one piece, or assembled shower stall with left hand opening hinged or siding glass doors.
Final shower equipped with appropriate hardware for seniors.
We would really appreciate your considered proposal.
Thank you.
We are the homeowners
We have a shower stall in our en suite bathroom and are looking to replace with bathtub and shower.
We have 69" width wall to wall across the bathroom to fit the tub and 42" of depth.
Would like a quotes on multiple options (e.g. tile walls, insert etc.)
My tub is about 50years old approx 16 inches deep. I am having difficulty getting into the tub. I need a more accessible solution, and refurbishing or replacement of tub/ shower walls. The shower walls were replaced 14 years ago, behind the shower panels the walls are cement board. There are shower doors on the tub which need replacing, probably will opt for shower curtain.
I have had a recent fall and need this work done immediately. I am considering a safe step cut out with a refurbishing of the tub if it needs it and the surrounding walls, or a complete tub to shower conversion. I will probably replace toilet and sink to " match ". I will need to see WSIB clearance to proceed.
Bathroom refresh - new tub and surround, pot lights, sink and toilet, new fixtures, some electrical, possible wall tile in all areas
Laundry room - washer hook up repair - redrywall if required
Balcony - replace wood boards or sand and stain
Planning to insulate ceiling in Garage - require removal of old drywall in preparation - after the spray - framing of ceiling as required and box in existing wiring - replace with new drywall and mud.
I bought my home in 2007 in Guelph, ON. A few weeks ago, I was in the shower when part of the wall collapsed and I realised that when the previous owners had put the shower in, the shower had been backed with drywall rather than cement board, and was now thoroughly soaked and moldy. Therefore, my entire shower is in need of being gutted and completely redone. The plumbing could use some work too, as it was leaking. Any takers/quotes for such a project?
Do you do bathrooms/laundry rooms? We have a small diy renovation in progress.
Basically we have the fixtures bought or picked out. We need a plumber and installer of fixtures, and finishing details for a small bathroom. Fixtures include, 60 tub with tiles, flooring (7x5), install 36" vanity with sink top, hang mirror.
Plumbing is needed to add a laundry stack to the basement apartment.
We're behind by a couple of months. Right now it seems overwhelming. Are you too busy for us at this time?
We are in Guelph.
I require a small 4 piece bathroom renovation / update as I am selling my house. The room is approximates 5x8 or smaller. It will need new flooring, a new bath tub- as well as a tile surround or some other attractive modern surround. I'm hoping this will help increase the value of the house- but since I won't get to enjoy it it's important to keep the costs low.
I will be having this work done ASAP- it must be done by late next week.
The upstairs is vacant so I can set up viewings anytime just give me a call or text.
Hello,
I have a couple renos that need to be done. I am hoping for an early August start. Its a Bathroom, Kitchen, Bedroom total redo on all three, possible plumbing stack, attic insulation. We're also hoping to put a dormer on the bathroom. Please contact me so we can set up a time to meet up and figure out a quote.
Walls, ceeling, ceramic floors need to be instaled. Also the drenaige for the shower and the toilet are to be moved about 1 foot in a concrete floor. Along with the bathroom, an adjacent lawndry room is to be finished as well (walls and ceeling, aprox 35sq. feet)
Electrical work also needs to be done. The line running from the main electrical box is already in the washroom, only the outlets and the lights need to be runned and instaled.
