My husband and I are located in guelph and are looking for help with our floor installation.
Our house was built in 1977. We removed a wall separating the kitchen and living room and would like to replace the floor. The old floor is a combo of ceramic tile (in the kitchen) and natural oak nailed down hardwood floor (in the living room). We are planning to install engineered hardwood (nailed down) throughout the whole space, which is approximately 550 square feet. We will remove the existing floor ahead of time. If possible, we may also require assistance with re-installing the baseboards/trim.
Thank you!
Teresa and Scott
I manage 45 group homes and offices across southern Ontario.
Sites need to be frequently maintained and upgraded to meet the needs of our residents.
We currently have a requirement to replace all carpeting with vinyl plank flooring within an office located in Guelph - about 3000 square feet.
The Contractor should be well experienced, complete all work in a professional workmanship manner.

I just bought a house (take possession on 1st of May) and would like to have the two mainfloor bedrooms re-floored. Each room is approximately 10 x 11, so total square footage would be around 220 (2 x 110).
I'm considering either hardwood, bamboo, or laminate. I would like to hear what my options are cost-wise and durability-wise with respect to each.
Currently, they have low-grade carpeting over under-padding over old linoleum. Please see pictures for close ups of what's underneath.
I am working with a relatively tight budget, and would like to know whether there are any ways in which I could prepare the rooms beforehand, whether that involves taking off the baseboards or tearing up the carpets or whatnot.
Ultimately, I'm looking for solid, practical, and decent-looking flooring. I'm interested in getting quality, detail-oriented work from a contractor who stands behind her/his work. Aside from price, I also tend towards working with folks who take the time to explain in detail what they are doing and give me options, rather than just assuming that they know best. Hope this makes sense.
Do get in touch. I will want to know licensing information, if you are insured, etc.
Hello
I am looking for a professional installer to put in 800 square feet of Brazilian teak flooring. This is the entire second floor of my home - 4 bedrooms in total. The carpet and baseboards are already removed, and the wood is in the house so this job is ready to start now. I am looking for someone who has installed this type of wood in the past since it is extremely hard. I would like references as well (south end of Guelph). Looking for someone that can start this project ASAP.
Thank you
Mark
We are located in downtown Guelph and looking for someone to complete a small job - we have bought some vinyl floor tiles for the bathroom and are in need of having someone cut and install it for us. The bathroom is fairly small - the floor being about 30 square feet.
We are hoping to put our house on the market in the new year, so hopefully can get it done before then.
Thank you.
Removal of Carpet and installation of the 12mm laminate floor in Living Room, Bed rooms(3), Hallway and stairs. Totally roughly 1000 Sq. Ft. area.
The staircase has 11 stairs.
Front hall, Kitchen and Dining area are porcelain tiled floor, which would all require trimming where the tiled floor and laminate floor would meet.
Please give me two quotes with a breakdown of Carpet removal and floor installation. (1) Material + Labour (2) just Labour
Hello,
I am looking to lay some laminate in my upstairs bedrooms and small landing; approx. 250 square feet. The original flooring is old hardwood and in two locations the floor has buckled leaving a fair size hump. I am not picky about the floor being perfect but do not want to have the laminate become damaged over time due to these humps. Any suggestions? Quotes for laying floor?

My husband and I just moved to Guelph and we have (already) done some DIY renovations and removed two half walls that were between our living and dining room. We would like to have the flooring gaps from underneath those walls patched by removing existing flooring of the same wood from our main entrance (we are going to tile it at a later date) and stitched into the gaps on the floor in our new open concept flooring. The wood we are looking to have removed is roughly 12 sqft space – however the stitch job is roughly two spaces of 1’w X 5’L.
I have a bedroom that needs the popcorn celling off, paint and hardwood floors laid. I have all the tools, paint and flooring. I just need the guys.
The room is a standard spare room size (maybe 10x10). Iam looking to get this done quickly (by Tuesday Nov 14th).
Does anyone have availability and if so what time frame do you think you can get this done in?

Thanks,
We have a small flooring installation that we may be performing soon. We would be installing several hundred square feet of a rubber based ESD flooring over existing Tile. The flooring is self adhesive, but would require heat welding along the seams. It would be a small job, but we're looking for experienced assistance to help:
- Lay the rubber sheets (Self adhesive) (Approximately 620 SQ ft)
- Complete the heat welding portion (Approximately 80ft of welding in 6 seams)
- Complete corner/edge coving/boot in several locations
Hello,
We are renovating our stairs from carpet to hardwood. One side of the stairwell is open (we will reuse the spindles) and the other is a wall. There are 13 steps in total (largest is 42") with a small square landing after the first step. Currently the spindles and railing are oak, and the stairs are pine. Our goal would be to have oak or maple steps and white risers and spindles. Please let me know the estimated costs.
Total flooring to be laid approx 220 sq.ft (on top of Marble floor).
The job must start at 11 pm on April 21. Tile to be chiselled, grind/level floor, clean, lay tile. Floor will need to be sectioned off.
The floor must sit for 24 hours. The Mall needs the WSIB and insurance.
Because of the water leakage from the hot water tank pipe the water went under the hardwood flooring of the hallway. So, now I have to replace the complete hardwood of my living area, dining and hallway. There may some damage to the subfloor which we will come to know once we remove the hard wood flooring. Some repair required for the dry wall as well as there is moisture content in the walls.
