Good Afternoon,
We are entertaining quotations to install a bathroom in our basement (there is currently no bathroom there) as well as remodeling two existing bathrooms on the first and second floors respectively. Furthermore, we are looking for a quotation to install engineered wood flooring on the second and third floors of our home (approximately 1600 square feet).
The house is an older home built in 1905, and the address is 908 King Street East in Hamilton Ontario.
The financing for this project is being done by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation Purchase Plus Program.
If you are interested, we need a site visit and quotations done tomorrrow. I can e-mail a more descriptive specification immediately.
Thanks!
Hi,

It must be fully painted and one bathroom will be renovated. Also, a few small fixes around the house.
I think it's a one to two days job max.
Work MUST be done on the first week of Sep.

Older double-brick home requiring a bathroom renovation. 2nd floor bathroom - 60 sq ft - next to kids' room.
You will need to:
- remove and replace old fixtures (we have a pedestal sink to replace old vanity currently there. Would like to get a new light fixture, deep claw-foot tub and eco-toilet and can either buy it separate or buy it from you, if the price and warranty are good)
- remove & re-do inner walls
- move the current piping back in our 2nd Floor bathroom
- re-tile the floor
- remove current window and return to original size with privacy glass or glass brick
Only those who offer free on-site quotes should reply.
Want to renovate the bathroom hopefully before i move into my house. I can provide some picture's of the bathroom. Want to redo the whole bathroom, move a electrical socket as it is now in between the sink and toilet. want to replace bathtub (tile around tub), toilet (add storage above), sink, vanity & mirror, redo the floor in ceramic tile or vinyl, house is over 50 years, do not know of any previous renovation of bathroom, or square footage (not till atleast may 14th) will have 2 week from that date before the move. Concerned about the whole process of renovating the bathroom , what to expect, length of renovating, best materials to use, cost of renovating
thank you
I have a small bathroom ( approx 8.5' x 6.5') that needs updating. I would like to take out the walkin shower and put in a soaker tub and Glass Doors ( Tub was removed about 10yrs ago and walkin shower put in). Remove bulk head over tub area to raise the ceiling. Add shower unit in tub area. Remove original 4x4 tiles and replace. Replaced exhaust fan. Will be keeping vanity (I will refinish). Keeping vanity top and faucets.
I will supply tub, tile, shower unit and glass doors.
I am the property owner and not looking for highend finishes, just something nice but durable.
I am owner of the home; ~50 sq. ft of floor tiling, ~80 sq. ft of shower tiling (also looking to install built-in custom shelving into the new shower tiling).
Required work includes:
- Installing tiles on floor and shower, install new vanity, double sinks, faucets and requisite plumbing

- Change out the ceiling drywall panels (~4-5 sheets)
I will provide the new vanity, sinks, faucets, tiles, bathtub and fittings - please do not include these in your quote

We are looking for 5x9 feet full bathroom renovation. I been looking around including RONA for cheaper quote. We only looking for basic ones. Our house is about 30 years old and we are selling it next year. The person is buying it will turn this into student rental. $2000 or less will be nice if it is possible but negotiable. I don't need any fancy things. Installing metal tub, fan, tiles because it fell apart and its leaking, toilet because its old and doesn't stop flowing, mirror, flooring and painting. Practically everything in our very small bathroom.
Thank you.
We have three bathrooms that need to be completely renovated.
Bathroom #1: Located on the main floor. Fixtures to be installed are Toilet, Bidet, Cast-Iron Bathtub, and Vanity. Accessories to be installed are Toilet Paper Holder, Towel Ring, and Towel Bar. Floor to ceiling porcelain 12 x 24 tile to be installed. Floor is also 12 x 24 porcelain tile. Plumbing must be roughed-in (the basement is unfinished). Closet is to be constructed on the main floor as well. Closet floor to be 12 x 12 granite tile. One door to be hung for the bathroom, and one for the closet. Door Trims to be installed.
Bathroom #2: Located on the second floor. Prior to any installation of fixtures, all of the plumbing must be completely re-done as it is not to code, nor is it vented properly. Most of the work in this bathroom is cosmetic, aside from the plumbing (the toilet, bidet, and vanity sinks leak). Some tiles to be replaced, and accessories to be hung (towel bar, towel ring, toilet paper holder). Door to be changed and installed correctly.
Bathroom #3: Ensuite located on the second floor. Prior to any installation of fixtures, all of the plumbing must be completely re-done as it is not to code, nor is it vented properly. Fixtures to be installed are Toilet, Bidet, and Vanity. Accessories to be installed are Toilet Paper Holder, Towel Ring, and Towel Bar. Floor to ceiling porcelain 12 x 24 tile to be installed. Floor is also 12 x 24 porcelain tile that has to be replaced (it was installed incorrectly and must be flat). Closet is to be constructed in this bathroom as well. One door to be hung for the bathroom, and one for the Ensuite. Door Trims to be installed.
Additional Notes:
We welcome anyone to come and see the job prior to quoting. It is much larger than can be described in words. The job sounds simple but it is a renovation gone bad. The previous contractors worked on this job for fourteen months and did not complete one bathroom.
Duct work has to be connected to the second floor. It was disconnected and never reconnected.
The ceiling in our hallway was removed to work on the ductwork and it has to be replaced.
The walk-in closet in our Master Bedroom has to be drywalled and double French Doors hung.
Contractors will be required to dispose of all material and clean up after they are finished.
We will provide the fixtures, however building materials are the responsibility of the contractor.
I apologize in advance for sounding somewhat jaded however this is the type of stuff that you only see on television. Believe me, any professional looking at this job will shake their head in disbelief.
Hello,
I'm looking to renovate two bathrooms in my house. House was built in 1972, bathrooms are original. Not feeling the purple bath tub anymore! Looking for approximate costs to complete the following:
Bathroom 1 (main Bath). Room size is 9.5' x 7'. Gut entire room. Replace bath/shower combo, toilet and vanity. Install glass sliding door on tub New vanity to have two sinks (vs. one right now). Install ventilation fan (none right now). Install ceramic tile floor and tub surround. Replace entry doors (two doors). Bathroom located on upper level of the house.
Bathroom 2 (secondary bath). Room size is 6.5' x 4'. Gut entire room. Currently a 2 piece bath. Wish to add shower at end of the room, new toilet and small vanity/sink. Install new entry door. Install venilation fan (none right now). Install ceramic tile floor, as well as tile adjacent hallway floor (approx 60sf beyond bathroom). Bathroom located on the lower level of the house (concrete floor).
Not looking for any crazy high end finishes - just serviceable materials fitting of a busy family home. Looking for ball park costs now, followed up by detailed quotes/walkthroughs by contractors. Approximate costs for nice to have extras (such as radiant floor heating) would be appreciated. See attached sketches for approximate layout of each room
Thanks very much,
Mike
I am no pro but I need two more coats of mud and sanding to prep the walls for paint.
Square the box of which should have been done properly in the first place.
Paint ceiling and 3 walls 2 coats which I have.
Maybe install new floor which I would buy.
Install trim which I have.
Install vanity with new taps and sink drain pipe which I have.
Install toilet which I have.
Install accessories which I have.
Build the spare cabinet which I have.
Estimate to rough-in or rough-in and install dual-flush toilet and pedestal sink (Already purchased) on main floor of one storey home. Main drain is accessible in basement.
A shower will also be part of finished project, however a suitable model has not been found. (Small space - specific size & door configuration required.) May be part of job if suitable unit is found.
****THANK YOU FOR THE RESPONSES, HOWEVER I HAVE DECIDED TO PUT THE PROJECT ON HOLD FOR NOW*****
Requires old bathtub replacement with new white tub, move old taps up to new lever style tap, tiling on walls around tub requires full surround, curved shower rod to replace straight rod.
I would like a few quotes and suggestions. Was originally going to get the Bath Fitters to place an entire unit on current old tub but would like to see if replacing everything is the better more inexpensive way to renovate.
Involves hooking up the bathroom exhaust fan so that it vent outside. The exhaust vent needs to be insulated in the attic to prevent condensation running down the inside of the pipe and back into the bathroom. This project involves cutting a hole into the roof for the piping (used for ventilation) and ensuring that the piping is such that snow will not block it. A PDF file with a diagram is available upon request as is further info from a contractor who is unable to assist at this point.

Looking to get the above job done. WE ARE NOT IN A RUSH!
We are just looking for the best people for the job who will be honest, reliable and do a good job. We can work with your timeline.
We will also be looking at doing our floors and kitchen in the future.
I have a shower that has a water proof membrane as well has aquadefence. I need it tiled. As well a tub surround, floor and possibly backsplash. The bathroom is roughly 7x12’.
Would appreciate someone who does this by trade. I don’t want to waste any time or have to start over due to bad workmanship.
I have purchased all the material with the exception of mortar as I assume everyone has a preference.
Thank you
