I need to have a cottage framed. It is being build brand new, so I need someone highly experienced. I am a company offering to work with someone on this project. There is more work there as long as the quote for framing is friendly to the customer. It is a 2200 sqf. cottage I have the blue prints. I need a reasonable quote so we can work on future projects, I have a few of them.
Thank you.
Paul
I have a up coming addition and need some help with the framing. The aproximate square footage is 2400 feet, where I need the help is in the roof. I am willing to pay by the square footage or by the hour. The project will commence the third week of July and is located in Kilbride north of Burlington.
Thanks,
Brian
Hi there,
My home is approximately 80 years old, it is double brick construction with no interior framing. The house had furring strips with plaster and dry wall attached to it. I did a complete gut. First floor is approximately 700 square feet and requires 2x4 framing throughout the perimeter (open concept). There is an area near the stairs where it will have to remain 1x1 or whatever, because of the stairs it won't accept 2x4s. I may need to rebuild a load bearing wall on the second floor and install a partition. Lastly, new walls for a bathroom of approx 70 square ft with pock door. Possible reconstruction of the stairs as well. Looking to be present for the job because I would like to learn the fundamentals.
Thanks,
Julian
I want to finish my basement and the current location of the stairs to the basement is not ideal. I'd like to get quotes on the price of seting up some new stairs at a different location : this will require cutting the current floor (plywood), and might (this needs to be assessed) require electrical work - the panel is located at the location of the future stairs.
As well, I would like to know the cost of "closing" the current stairs once the new ones are installed.
Main floor Laundry Room floor shakes and vibrates badly when washer in spin cycle. Had a service call and repair man said there was nothing wrong with the machine. Washer is level. Told me it was the joists/floor loosening up over time. Said the floor/joists needed to be reinforced.
Home is 7 years old and problem has been getting progressively worse. Ceiling in basement is unfinished under the laundry room.
Need someone to design, supply and install something that works.
1923 brick house about 16 feet wide in the direction of the joists, with sagging joists up to 1 5/8 inches on the second floor - there is a very noticable slope to the middle bedroom floor. The room is 9 feet accross in the direction of the joists and floor at the inside wall adjacent to the hallway is 1 5/8 inches lower than the floor at the outside wall. In 1999 we had the bathroom leveled. The bathroom floor has not moved, but the floor in the bedroom has sunk slightly more since then. There is no evidence of fungus or dampness. The floor at the top of the stairs seems fine and the front bedroom is ok. We have the plaster and lath off the living room walls, downstairs hallway and ceiling and the upstairs hallway walls. We intend on replacing all of the flooring due to age and wear and would like the floors to be somewhat level - they do not need to be perfect in an old house like this.
Looking for experienced residential framers that have experience in framing town houses.
Units are 1500 square feet. I have 5 units ready to go ASAP, As well a 8 unit block. Price per square foot is dictated on how many units you can handle. Rate $8/sqf-$9/sqf. No Back framing and forklift is on site if needed.
