I'm the owner a 6 unit building and am looking for a carpenter and handyman to tackle a couple small jobs. For instance:
Remove a 5 gang mailbox and install a 8 gang mailbox
Fix/replace Tub spout
Put two screws/attach a Slant fin heater
Bedroom door is scraping on the door frame, chipping off the paint a bit
Install 12 wall plates
Replace a small french door glass
Install low flow faucet aerators.
I am looking to have a couple of projects in our house finished up.
I have 3 small areas that require replastering.
1) Kitchen ceiling - due to water damage - area size 1 foot wide by 3 feet long (smooth ceiling area)
2) Living Room Celing - due to water damage - 6 inches wide by 1 foot long area (this ceiling has a fan shaped repeating pattern in the plaster that I would like to match)
3) Bedroom Wall - due to water damage - 2 by 4 feet plaster wall cracking and it has been repaired before so it is no longer a flat surface. I would like it removed and flattened out .
Door Frame:
My husband ripped out our basement door frame completely. I need the frame and door replaced. There is a hanging wire that is taped off and needs to be placed back inside (or underneath the frame).
Online estimates and emails for in person estimates welcome.
I have someone coming tomorrow for an estimate and would like to get these projects cleared up soon. (31Aug09)
Thanks

The following needs to be done:
- Some minor drywall patch work
- Paint the house interior (Living room, 2 bedrooms, and bathroom)
- Install trim (most of the trim is pre-cut and painted
- Install threshold between kitchen and living room floors
- Stain and seal the deck outside. Was pressure washed in the fall
- Install pre-fabbed kitchen cupboard doors
- Install kickboards under the kitchen cabinets
Please give me a call if you would like to come by and see the house.

We've purchased a press board (I think that's what the "wood" that the cabinet is made out of is called) medicine cabinet to hang in the bathroom of our apartment. We drilled a hole in the wall and discovered that the wall consists of about 1-2 inches of plaster over cinder block. We don't have the tools (and possibly the know how) to do this properly so that the cabinet won't come off of the wall and crash down on our toilet. HEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!! I'd like to get it on the wall and off of my dining room table.

Had 2 water related issues.
Basement Half Bath:
Suspected main drain stack leak in wall. Track source of leak, repair leak, some walls if required to remove to locate/fix leak and framing likely to need replacing. Flooring will also need to be redone, currently vinyl and likely replace with the same again.
Kitchen:
Leak over the years has rotted out base under sink in the cabinet. Age of the cabinets and this problem mean we're likely in need of having them pulled out, some wall and possible frame repairs as well as cabinet replacement.
Quotes required on these jobs with alternatives provided; potential for other small jobs currently and long term "go to" for all future projects/repairs/upgrades if all goes well. Depending on jobs to be completed, looking for a very quick completion and turnaround (landlord that needs to get unit back up on market)
Ideally need a contractor with flexibility for a weekday evening visit to quote. House is currently vacant so the project can be tackled all day, everyday until complete.
We are going to be buying a new Kitchen and are looking for someone reliable that can install it for us. As well we have damaged plaster walls and a cracked ceiling in the kitchen that need repairing. We are fixing this place up so we can sell and are not looking to spend a lot of time and money on the kitchen. Just to do it properly and make it look nice.
Remove old countertop, disconnet large sink and a bar size sink. Cap off the lines where the bar sink was, we do not want to use it anylonger. Put in new countertop. Size L shape. 106 inches by 32 inches. We will be purchasing a 10 foot and a 3 foot countertop. You would have to cut the corner. Put the sink back in and hook up the plumbing back up.
If you could quote us for this job I would appreciate it. We are looking for someone to install it this week or next. Any day will work for us. If you are unable to do the job this week or next please do not respond. It is a rental property and our renters need the counter changed ASAP. If you can email me your hourly rate and a general idea how long this would probably take I would appreciate it. We can set up a time to meet if you must see the job site.

I'm looking to get an quote on having some repair work done on a house I am renting.
I need to have a few holes in walls patched and primed.
I need to have two small areas of a hardwood floor re-stained a dark brown colour.
The ideal time for completing the work would be near the end of June. But, as the job won't take long, we can discuss that.
We are looking at taking down the wallpaper in our living room and dining room and painting the walls. We have been working on getting the wallpaper off, but it is stuck to the wall and is very difficult to get off. We have been trying for a very long time and it has just gotten too frustrating and time comsuming. About 70% of the paper is off, although most of the sticky backing is still on the wall. In the process the walls have gotten damaged and would need a skim coat done on it to smooth the walls to get ready for painting. As for painting, I am still not sure if we would do that or just have someone do that at the same time as the repairs (if I could get a quote for painting as well, that would be appreciated). The living room is 17 feet 10 inches by 10 feet and the dining room is 11 feet by 9 feet. The living room has 3 walls and the fourth wall goes about halfway (8 feet). The dining room has 3 walls.
