I have base board electric heat & so i need central a/c & heat but also need duct installed for that. I need some quotes for pricing as I live in a 2 1/2 storey condo townhouse & there's no duct work done, so basically all duct work needs to be done from bottom up to attic & then each room, washroom & kitchen needs the air supply.
I own a century home and the ducts to the second floor bathroom and one bedroom have been blocked off and the duct removed (I think!). The vents are still in the rooms, but a metal sleeve with a closed end has been inserted into both. I'm not exactly sure what is behind the walls, but there is an empty shaft which runs from the basement part way through the 1st floor. In the basement the duct that went from the main furnace duct has been removed and shut off, but the metal duct is still sitting in the basement rafters. I would like to restore heat to these rooms since they get very cold in the winter. Can you please provide an approximate quote, legnth of time and the steps required (for example, tearing down walls). I realize this would have to be seen in person to fully understand what I have attempted to describe.
Thank you!
Hello,
I am converting my basement into a legal secondary suite. The current 8" duct work that runs along the basement really decreases the clearance. Right now, I have about 6' 4.5" of clearance from the unfinished floor to the ducts. I am looking to get the ducts replaced with something thinner (and wider?).

Good day,
We are looking for a contractor to install Central Air Conditioning in our house in Hamilton.
The house is old and located in Central Hamilton.
Additionally, we are looking for somebody to help us with TLC ( painting, some flooring, some tiling ) around the house.
Please let us know your rates and general timeline it takes to do that.
Thank you so much.
I am building an addition in hamilton, the HVAC guy is taking to long to come in to do the job and has stopped production. This addition is 18'x22 and there is a master bedroom bathroom laundry and hallway going into it the floor system is already in and I need duct work installed before I can continue framing.
Since I bought my house 6 years ago, I have never had heating and cooling in 3 of my upstairs bedrooms. One of those rooms being my master bedroom, which makes for hot summers and extremely cold winters. My furnace and air conditioning unit are both 6 years old now. I have tried having my ducts cleaned however that did not seem to help the problem.
I am looking into having someone look at and repair this issues so that my upstairs room temperatures can be regulated.
I appreciate your quotes and suggestions.
We are the home owners and have a sunroom attached to the back of our house. We would like to split the vent on a common wall that currently has an HVAC run to it so that we would be able to have heating and cooling in the sunroom. The common wall is part of the same addition and there is no exterior wall to go through. I have included pictures of the wall/floor where we would like the vent to go and the opposite side of the wall, where the existing vent is.
We are looking for a HVAC company to look after our many properties for service work. General service includes boilers, furnaces, rads, hot water heaters etc... I am looking for a decent hourly rate and someone certified in these areas. Service calls can be any time of day, night or day of the week. Please respond with your areas of expertise, hourly rate and availability.
We are in the final phase of building a steel shredder in hamilton, ON we are looking to hire an hvac contractor to install numerous exhaust fans, electric unit heaters, weather louvers and manual operated damper, i have the exact details in drawings from our engineer and will forward them to the potential candidates.
thank you,
I've recently bought a house and received a notice from enbridge to have an exterior B-Vent system that actually isn't for exterior use be inspected or replaced.
I need someone to inspect it and fill out a form sent to me from enbridge, as well as give me an estimate on the cost to install an exterior B-Vent duct. Which I would then consider the possibility to have a compliant duct installed.
I have an old oil tank that is likely empty (unused in 15 years) under my back concrete steps. The only access is a 24 x 30 inch opening at one end. The space is about 5 feet high. I need the tank cut up and removed. I am trying to sell my house and was being honest and disclosed it's existence. Can anyone help me??
I was wondering if there is any way to redirect the ducting that goes to the bedroom upstairs. It currently goes up the interior wall and travels outside of that wall across the top of my windows in my living room to the center of the wall in the floor in the upstairs bedroom. They have created a box around it and they extended to box to the other side of the room for symmetry. I would like to remove that horrible looking box and redirect the heat vent if it is possible. Any ideas?
I own a small business, in a 2-floor office. We just bought it this year from its old owner.
The furnace is located on the second floor, and each day, the temperature upstairs rises to the point of being uncomfortable to be up there. We have group classes upstairs and they run...a portable AC unit which vents hot air back into the furnace room.
We'd prefer to stop wasting so much electricity this way and hopefully figure out a solution to the terrible upstairs/downstairs temperature delta. We don't know what that solution would involve. Maybe just improved air flow from upstairs to down? You tell us!

Hello, can we get a quote for the following: we need to replace our furnace, A/C, water heater, and the pipping. We are looking for 60G water heater, 2 stage 40 BTU furnace that is 96% efficient, 2 ton A/C and replacing the pipping from outdated black to the white that is needed by city bylaws. We also need to move one section of the air duct as well.
I need a quote to have a vanity, bathroom exhaust fan and a laundry tub installed.
Currently there is a pedestal sink that’ll need to be removed. I already have the vanity that I purchased a while back.
There is no exhaust fan currently installed, so it’ll be a brand new installation including electrical.
Laundry tub will also be a brand new installation as there is no laundry tub currently installed.
