Need to access plumbing line at side of house.
Job 1: Sledge/jack out concrete walkway. Remove and dispose of approx. 70 square feet. (Possibly remove entire back section of tarmack for future patio - Another 100 square feet or so...Will depend on quote.)
Job 2: Dig down approx. 4-5 feet to expose pipe. This will be from the base of a doorway to a gate within the 14X5" foorprint.
Job 3: Repair pipe if required.
Please feel free to consider providing a quote on Job 1, 2 or 3 or any combo. Sorry, I won't pay plumber's rates for concrete removal and digging but if you're a private contractor with reliable jobbers that could work.

We moved into a 100+ year old home and found that the water pressure throughout the house was low. If having a shower, we can't run the dish washer or do a load of laundry until it finishes.
We would like to get the issue assessed and get quotes on what options we have for fixing the issue.
I will be putting in a half bathroom in my basement. I do have newer PVC piping, I believe that the new piping does come into the house at least 4 feet. The bathroom will be located near the main pipe drain out.
I just want to have the plumbing for the toilet, sink, and the water lines done. I will be using dricore subflooring in the bathroom. The bathroom will be 4x6.
Remove anti scald tempering valve from hot water tank. It is currently not even producing hot water near 100F. Do not have children or elderly. Willing to sign waiver regarding code requirements. We own house and are sick of not having hotwater. Considered a different valve that allows 90-160F but since they all seize or clog at some point. Decided aginst it. Please advise of cost to remove. Thanks.
Note: currently have watts 1170m installed. Inrersting that even these devices have warnings that state they are not to be used for anti-scald purposed, yet the gov't mandated it?
I am not sure where to start but I believe all the plumbing was done wrong when the last owner of my home flipped my house. I first found the problem in the shower which leaked all over the floor when it was used. I investigated further, when I removed the drain cover I could see water flowing through the pipe (no p trap). Water from the laundry machine, bathroom sink and in reverse direction from the toilet all flowed though this pipe. I had a friend cap this off as we had sewer gases coming in. In addition the washing machine drained water used to flow up in to the bottom of the shower and mold would grow. After capping of the base of the shower water now backs up onto the basement floor in the laundry room (which is beside the bathroom). I am looking for someone to help me fix this and get it done right, so we can finally use this bathroom.
I'm looking for a licensed plumber in Hamilton to rough in a 3 piece bathroom and laundry room. Plus the existing plumbing is outdated. I would like to look into replacing the cast iron section and inspect the existing main line to the sewer with a camera. Also, I will likely want to put in a backflow valve as per the city rebate program. Let me know if your interested in quoting.
Thanks
I want to create a laundry room on the second floor. There is no plumbing on the second floor now. We need hot/cold water supply along with properventallation and electrical work. The current laundry is in the basement. This is an old home and there is an area where you can go thru the floor on the 2nd floor thru a closed on the main floor to the basement.

I am looking for a plumbing service for a recently purchased house in Hamilton before we move in. The house was inspected before purchase which revealed a few plumbing issues, including:
- Remove bathroom: take out toilet and sink and cap the pipes
- Active leakage of drain pipes; pipes showed poor connections and signs of corrosion
- Leaky under-sink pipes and loose faucets
- Rusting on water heater unit with condensation leaking from exhaust piping
I'm hoping to obtain an estimate and can provide the inspection report that goes into detail about these issues. A walk-through might be possible if needed.
In terms of a timeline for these repairs, we're aiming to have them done early to mid May.
Please email me if your service would be suitable for this job.
Thank you,
Brett
The drain pipe for my washing machine is overflowing even when no laundry is being done. The water that comes out of the pipe has a rancid odor and flooding my floor. I attempted using a drain cleaner recommended to me by Home Depot to no avail. I contacted the city and was told I have to have a contractor/plumber look at it. I believe the sewage system is backing into my house.
I have just purchased a rental property (triplex) and require the knob and tube be replaced. 2nd and 3rd floor have grounded wires however the main floor is primarly knob and tube. The basement is unfinished so access is available.
Basement also has a significant amount of galvanized steel plumbing that requires to be changed, Square footage of entire house is approx 2400 sq feet.
I am looking to get an estimate on some work I need to do on my house.
Late last year we had a leak in our old, cast iron waste pipe. We had the affected pipe replaced, but we are hoping to get the rest of the old pipe replaced (Kitchen to attic). We currently have a hole in our kitchen wall, and are assuming another hole would be needed in the bathroom directly above, both of which would need to be fixed. As well, the upstairs bathroom needs some work: replaced flooring (leaning towards tile), install new sink and toilet, stripped and reglazed bathtub.
Replace pump behind upflush toilet (also attached to shower).
I already have the new pump waiting to be installed.
Needs to be vented outside in order for the pump to work (i.e. cannot use cheater valve) Requires drilling through wall.
Would like the vent to be connected to another basement pump (which is just beside it).
Only additional material that is needed is the venting.
Should be about 4-6 hours work for someone who knows what they're doing.
The laundry room was moved from the basement to an extension in the back of the house. The plumbing for comes up through the floor in the dining room. It sticks out 1.5 feet from the wall and looks ridiculous. In the basement, it's directly against the foundation but there's a joist that could theoretically be cut through. Regardless, the plumbing needs to be rerouted through the wall, or under the extension, or something.. At the same time I'd like to rough out the proper drainage for a future bathroom build where the laundry room currently is.
I have a toilet that I fear has lost it's wax seal and is seeping into the wood work on the second floor. The toilet was an addition to the house 4 years ago, and the pvc flange is about 2" below the tile. It was reseated with a double wax ring 3 years ago as it was definitely leaking, but I think it's slowly leaking again. This is the primary concern. Photo attached is from 3 years ago.
2nd toilet downstairs is filling extremely low, and could use a proper levelling as it's seal was also leaking 3 years ago. It was also renovated 4 years ago but is original in the house.
3rd toilet is fine, could use an inspection because of the other two.
I have an outdoor faucet in the garage that has exposed piping. A copper pipe elbow joint came disconnected when I turned on the water within the house.
Hi. I recently purchased a modest sized century home in Hamilton. I need a quotes for:
* run a gas line (from basement?) to the new stove location in the kitchen.
* hookup new stove (I will have the stove on hand)
* Inspect existing radiators (~8), replace radiator pipes as needed. I can see one feeder pipe that looks very rusty, would like confidence in the rest)
* install p traps under kitchen and bathroom sinks
* add washer hookups (next to deep sink in basement)
Some general numbers would be appreciated, but I will be on site Thurs, Sat, and Sun if you want to review before quote. The work would need to be done in the next couple of weeks.
