- Condo townhome in Kanata North built in 1977
- Need roughly 12' by 8' platform deck built adjacent to the house
- All square angles, no stairs needed, maybe one step down from platform
- Cheapest material available - short-term deck (only need it to last a few years)
- Backyard lawn is currently very uneven and lumpy
We currently have an existing upper deck off of our kitchen. The deck is quite small and we'd like to add on to it. The addition would be approximately 8 feet by 8 feet. We would remove the existing railings and match up with the new addition. The new upper deck addtion would probably require three posts, attachment to the existing deck, and attaching to the home over vinyl siding. We are hoping to have the deck completely by the end of October in order to take advantage of the Home Renovation Tax Credit and before the cold weather arrives.
We would also like to add stairs coming down from the existing upper deck portion, not too steep. The existing upper deck is approximately 4x4feet. You can call or email to arrange an appointment to come out and have a look.
