Could somebody have a look at the load bearing wall on Saturday July 28th to determine feasibility and cost?
Thanks,
I recently moved into a 10-year old bungalow in Keswick and had a friend of a friend rip out the bath tub in the master ensuite and install a 30"x60" walk in shower with a small seat in the corner. I have a disability so this was done for my safety. I chose dark grey slate for the shower walls and a white/grey tile for the floors.
The "friend" that I hired did the whole job in a rush and I have been dealing with issues since day 1. The slate looks uneven and nothing like I had originally pictured, the shower doors needed to be completely replaced, water leaked into the unfinished basement causing all kinds of headaches and the water used in showers doesn't drain properly and pools on the the shower floor. I have to towel up the water on the floor after every shower I take.
The entire thing has been a giant nightmare.
In order to use this shower I'm pretty sure the tile floor needs to be ripped up and leveled correctly to make sure the water drains properly. Hopefully this can be done without losing the seat in the corner.
I'm looking to get this job done as soon as possible and hope to hear from someone about this project.
I live in Keswick, Ontario. The project I need help with is the walk in shower in the master ensuite. The shower's dimensions is roughly two 30" side wallls by one 60" main wall. All the walls are 86" high.
I need...
The tub bath tub ripped out of the wall.
The tile and drywall removed from the wall.
The proper supplies laid to avoid water damage once shower is installed.
New slate wall tiles installed on all three shower walls and other basic tiles installed on the floor.
A bench installed.
Shower doors installed.
