Had a reno done approx. 7 yrs ago which involved removing the tub, creating a tile shower with a seat in the corner. I don't believe the membrane was installed properly and it now leaks into the basement. I would like to replace with a tub shower combo, as I have nice glass doors that could hopefully be repurposed. I would like some suggestions on how best to repair. Additional note - I am likely selling my house within the next few years so do not want to spend more than I need to.
Bathroom was reno'd by previous owner to enlarge by removing adjoining walk-in closet. We want to restore to previous layout.
Details:
- current room dimensions 9x10 (irregular)
- split into three areas: 3piece bath 6x7; closet 5x6; access 5x3
- replace shower (possibly add tile walls)
- (current floor is good, no change)
- replace (in-attic) exhaust fan with higher cfm
- electrics- switch locations, additional fixtures
- shelves/hanger bars in new closet
House was built in mid-70s; floor and most walls are pre-fab concrete. Reno will not involve modding concrete walls.
Need shower tiles, tub, vanity and vinyl flooring removed; one section of drywall needs to be replaced; put in new tub, tub surround and vanity; re-tile flooring (less the 20 square feet.) Tub, tub surround, vanity and flooring can be purchased and provided, however, interested in seeing quotes for these items if possible.
We need for our ensuite bathroom: shower taken out and put in a new one with tile back and new door system, also need old vanity taken out and new double sink one put in, in our main bathroom, we need old linoleum taken out, and tiles put in, aslo need old vanity out and new double put it.
We have two small bathrooms (8'x6') that we want renovated.
Both of them have a bathtub (with shower head), vanity & toilet that needs to be replaced. We also need the floors replaced and the wall tile replaced. we also wanted painted (though we could get that done separately if need be). We have purchased all the components you will need (i.e. bathtubs, toilets, vanity, tiles, paint, lights, towel bar etc), we just need you to install them. You will have to do some plumbing work with the tub. We were going to work with our installer who we have worked with in the past, but it doesn't look like he will be able to do it now due to personal problems. We need the work to be done in July, but you can work anytime days, evenings weekends - whatever - we are flexible.
85"x88" bathroom, 88"x23"x30"H vanity - sink & countertop to be replaced & 4 doors to be replaced, cabinet frame base to be repaired. 88"x32 1/2" area &34"32" area tile floor to be replaced, toilet to be replaced by fast flush toilet. Walls to be painted. Light fixture to be upgrade or repaired. May quote on tub replacement or resurfacing. May also quote on kitchen later.
I am buying a house where there used to be a 3 piece bathroom (Shower, Sink and Toilet) but the previous owner had ripped out everything down to the concrete. The plumbing is still available however but the layout is less desirable and I would like to move the toilet location. The bathroom is small, roughly 6' X 8'. The dry wall would need to be done (ceiling and walls), as well as a vent would need to be created for the shower steam as there wasn't one before however the bathroom is directly beside the laundry room, so the vent could run along side the drying vent. I am not looking for anything fancy, just a clean looking usable bathroom, I will be renting out the basement and it will be used by tenants. I would like to use tile for the flooring and shower. The Vanity will need to be small but have some counter space. The toilet can be basic, although the higher the efficiency the better. The shower can be just a standard glass walk in shower. The town house itself is 41 years old and the location of the bathroom is in the basement which is finished and like mentioned previous, beside the laundry and furnace/water heater room. The house is freehold so there is no committee to speak to. If you have any more questions, feel free to email me.
I am looking to renovate my small bathroom. Contractor to tear out wall surround, dry wall, bath tub and flooring to subfloor. Replacing the wall with den shield, installing new tub (with reinforcement), new bath/shower faucet, new toilet flange due to new flooring height, tiles in shower and ceramic floor tiles as well as painting the bathroom walls & ceiling and putting in new baseboards. All cleanup and removal of debris to be completed by the contractor.
I am looking for a professional, licensed plumber and tiling contractor. I would prefer a local professional with references, pictures of previous jobs and a detailed written quote. Prefer approx estimates online.
I am looking to renovate my bathroom. It is a small bathroom and I want to replace the tub, the tiling, the bathroom flooring. I also would like to have the bathroom painted, as well as installing new baseboards. I have already purchased the tub, showerhead, shower rod and will be purchasing the tiles.
The floor is only about 30 sq feet, the tub is a standard peanut tub sold at Home Depot. The wall behind the tile will need to be replaced with denshield.
I am looking for a qualified contractor/plumber with references.
We would like our master ensuite bathroom renovated. This is a 3-piece bath--shower, vanity with single sink, and toilet. Our house is 9 years old and the bathroom is approx. 57 square feet with a regular 8 foot ceiling. We would like the following things done:
1. Remove existing tile floor and replace with natural stone tiles.
2. Possibly install underfloor heating.
2. Remove existing acrylic shower stall and replace with natural stone tiles and frameless glass sides and door
3. Refinish (paint) or reface existing oak vanity.
4. Replace existing sink with undermount model.
5. Replace existing counter top with granite.
6. Replace existing toilet with one-piece model.
7. Replace sink faucet, shower head, towel bars, etc.
8. Install natural stone tiles as wainscotting approx. 4 feet up walls all around room.
9. Install 2 pot lights in ceiling.
10. Replace existing light fixture with two side sconce or pendant lights.
11. Install mirror from counter top to ceiling above vanity.
I have a 3 piece bathroom in the top floor, it has a bath tub, toilet and vanity with sink and want to take everything out, right to the studs and put in a new bathroom. I am looking to get a tiled shower area ( no tub at all ) and tile halfway up the wall in the rest and the entire floor. I also want an exhaust fan put in, there is not one there now, only a window. I have already purchased a new toilet and sink and vanity. the bathroom is 5 ft wide by 8.5 ft long
We are looking for an online estimate to see if we are able to afford a renovation at this time. This is our main bathroom and we would like to completely re-do it right down to do studs as we want to make sure there are no leaks in the walls. We would also like all new fixtures, new floor etc. The room is approximately 5 feet by 8 feet.
Thank you,
Kathy
We are looking at doing our main floor 4-piece bathroom, it's approx 80 sqft currently. We live in a century home in Kitchener (originally built in 1860) but some additions have been done before we moved in last year so it's not historic looking inside; although we would like to keep some of that aesthetic if possible. We currently have a cast iron claw-foot bathtub and floor tile that we would like to be installed and we will like other touches in the bathroom to have a style mix of modern and antique.
We're concerned about the layout of the bathroom, where the shower is now, we'd ideally like on the opposite wall. The current configuration really doesn't suit the use of the claw-foot tub. We also need the crawl space underneath the floor to be insulated, last winter the floor was ice cold and our pipes were frozen!
Overall, skills that will be needed are: flooring, plumbing, drywall, insulation, minor HVAC, and electrical skills.
We look forward to hearing from you and seeing what you have to offer!
We'd like to replace our current bath tub with a tub shower unit (and faucets). We are owners of a condo unit (on the third floor). Spacing will probably require the toilet to be removed so the tub can be installed.
Bathroom size: Approximately 7ft x 5 ft (excluding tub)
Depending on pricing, we are also interested in some of the following additional renovations (ordered by priority):
- Replacing laminate floor with tiles
- Replacing ceiling drywall due to minor water damage
- Remove wallpaper and paint
- Possibly replacing sink drain or whole sink unit
We are happy to buy the materials, but would like consultation on the tub so that we buy the correct size.
The space is approximately 10 ft X 12ft. The first 6 ft x 12ft is the bathroom space. There is a half wall, and sliding doors separating the bathroom from the laundry room space. Bathroom side, has a bath/shower, small vanity and toilet. There is a window in the shower stale. The laundry room (4ft by 12ft) has a standard size washer and dryer, water heater, fuse box and questionably functioning water softener. And a window. The layout is awkward.
There is water leaking in behind the wall in the shower stale, around the edges of the tile board, around the window and where the tub and tileboard meet. I am sure there is mold back there. I think that whole space needs to be gutted.
I want to put in a new whirppool bath/shower stale, which will likely require covering up a window. I want to lay down new vinyl flooring. Something nice but fairly inexpensive. Possibly replace the vanity, and mirror. New trim. Paint.
I'd also like to look into removing the wall separating the bathroom and laundry room, and just hide the laundry room appliances with a closest door.
1990's vintage 4 piece bathroom to be remodeled and updated to include more functional shower, replacement of Jacuzzi bath with freestanding and re-tiling of floor and walls as required.
Demolition and removal of existing material is underway to bring the bathroom to exposed walls and floor underlay. More effort is required than originally anticipated as shown in attached pictures.

I am the superintendent of an apartment building. We are going to require 4 bathrooms to be entirely renovated including drywall replaced. Currently we think there is a leak on the roof so trying to get a roofer out to fix that and then fix the bathrooms. Tenants are currently living in units. Please let me know if this is something you would be will to quote.
Thank you
We live in a condo in downtown Kitchener. I have already purchased and have on site the following items to do the bathrooms justice while updating the standards of building code and green sustainability:
Oak bathroom cabinet purchased from Home Depot
American Standard toilet and basin, MOEN faucets, and baseboard replacements.
Tile cutter on site, new tiles for backsplash work, and silicone putty and adhesives for sealing.
Estimate of time for work: Sixteen hours or two days for one capable chap. Please respond to a dear lady who wants to attract the right set of skilled and caring hands. I am telling you boys that through the eye of the storm I am a natural disaster, as is my bathroom, however; i have survived.
Thank you.
