Hello I am looking for a new front entrance to my home. I would like a concrete porch with either concrete or stone steps leading up to it. I believe a retaining wall would also be required. I want this porch to be covered with a nice roof and pillars.
the porch will by approx 9 by 6 and is about 4 feet off the ground. I would like to work with the grade of the yard in order to no require a railing on the stairs. I understand I will require one on the porch. I am the homeowner. I am completely open to ideas and suggestions
Hi,
The concrete steps at the front and the back of my house are cracking and pulling away from the foundation. Could you quote me a price on repairing them. Also, I have a bit of a water leakage problem in the basement through a crack in the foundation. Is your company able to repair or seal a crack? The house is located ten minutes south of Kitchener.
Thank-you.
Sincerely,
Brian
Looking to have a double driveway re-done in the spring. Interested in quotes for both concrete and asphalt. There will be 3 - 5 homes that want to get this done on neighbouring streets. All properties have double driveways, some may need to add a walkway. There may be others that will need their driveway sealed only.
We are looking to install a concrete driveway and walkway for our 16 year old home. there is currently a 10 year old asphalt single car driveway and apron and patio pavers on our front walkway. We are looking to expand the width of the driveway by approx 3' on the main drive. the front walkway would need a stepped (2) walkway up to the front concrete porch. Driveway dimensions are 21.5' x 15' and the walkway would be a stepped 4' x 15' long walkway.
Our driveway is alongside our neighbors and is about 1.5 or 2 feet higher, supported by a concrete retaining wall. Part of the wall has started to push out from the top towards the neighbors' driveway. I'd like a quote on how much it would cost to fix, and a guess as to how soon I would need to do so.
Thank you very much for your time.
We own a 1937 Heritage Art Deco home (in Kitchener, ON) with a typical deco cement ornamental frame around the front door. One level of the cement has cracked and someone tried to fix it years ago with more cement (didn't work!)
Where do we start looking for someone to repair the entrance so it blends in with the existing concrete? Are there folks out there who specialize in this sort of thing?
Incidentally, the front steps should also be re-done, but they do not face the same challenge of colour/texture match.
I am currently looking for a contractor to redo our driveway (including apron), porch and steps, this summer, with exposed aggregate. The porch already has a concrete base-just needs to be poured on top. The gap between the door step and the porch is about 4-5".
Driveway: 410 sqft ......possibly looking into widening the drive
Apron: 156 sqft
(total)= 566 sqft
Steps: 84 sqft
Porch (L-shaped): 144 sqft
If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me.
Thanks,
Jacob
My house is approximately 20 years old, the existing front porch is cracking and chipping. I would like the entire front porch and side raised garden removed and a new cement porch installed. I also removed the existing walkway earlier this summer and need new cement walkway (no interlocking) but will consider other options.
I have an existing double paved driveway - and am considering removing and installing a cement driveway
Serious inquiries only - I want the work done, 2 companies have made appointments and not shown up.
We are wanting to put in a large patio. Leaning towards concrete with exposed arrogate stone. We also need steps about 6 down to patio (approx. 5' is the distance down).
The patio size we would like would be 400-500 square feet in a rectangle shape.
We would like maybe a darker border around the edge.
We would remove the deck that is there currently ourselves.
We are also wanting to put in black metal fencing around the perimeter approx 150feet. If you do this work as well please give us a quote on that too.
We just bought the home and get it end of June. So we are looking for the work to be done during the first three weeks in July.
Hi! I have 3 questions. (1) What size of concrete slab is required for 7 ft. x 7 ft. shed? (2) What is the approximate cost of pouring/installing the slab? (3) Will you mix, pour, screed, and finish concrete if I provide bags of concrete from a hardware store?
Originally done 3 years ago with coloured concrete which has pitted and cracked and because of problems with the concrete drying too quickly it slopes towards the house causing leakage into the basement. The area provides the only access for a tenant so it must be co-ordinated to inconvenience him as little as possible.
We are looking to have our front porch resurfaced. The previous owner had painted it. The paint is coming off an it's just a big mess. The steps are falling apart and also need to be replaced with something nicer and full width.
We would also like to get rid of the lock block path and.
We have no idea what a realistic budget would be for this work. But if our budget allowed, we would also like to include the (double) driveway in the project.
We are open to suggestions, but leaning towards a stamped concrete finish.
Your suggestions are welcome and we would be pleased to make arrangements to receive quotes for this project.
Would like a stamped concrete patio added to our backyard. Approx 40 x 10 feet.
Concerns are the Bell cabling goes right through our backyard up to our patio door.
Would also like an estimate on how long a project like this would take before we could walk on the patio.
