Replaced tub in main bathroom. While tub being removed,.. ceramic wall tile and floor tile damaged beyond reasonable repair. I have removed all the tile,.. and boarded the wall with Dens-Armour and am looking for a tile installer. I have purchased 12x24 porcelain tile and grout. Just want quotes on a square footage basis to build up the builder 3/8's plywood subfloor with cement-Board, or Dens Armour and install the tile. Floor approx 60 square feet. Walls approximately 100 square feet. Plaster walls have been leveled best I can,.. but should include a little time for final leveling if needed (only about 40 square feet). Tiles to be laid in a brick pattern.
I also have a foyer floor which is falling appart because the floor was not reinforced before the ceramic went down. I have purchased 18" x 18" porcelain tile and want a per square foot cost to install reinforcing board, and tile the area on a 45 degree angle, brick pattern.
Washroom needs to be up and running asap (kids can't use the tub). Only interested in quotes from companies which can complete tile washroom tile in next 2 weeks. Foyer can be later.
Would expect 3 references that I can contact before proceeding to ensure quality of installation.
Hello,
I am moving into a new townhome in November and looking to redo the upstairs floors before I fully move in. It would consist of about 550 square feet and I am looking to instal luxury vinyl and then new carpet on two staircases. I would also be interested in installing new tile on the bathroom floor and shower.
House was built in the 1920s. The 2nd floor was likely one room at some point, and has only one heating vent in the now living room. The master bedroom is on the 2nd floor, at the front of the house, but has no heat vent. The room is probably 300 sq ft. A heat vent exists in the foyer below the bedroom, and we want it extended.
We also want the foyer 60 sq ft tiled. We have the tile, but not the sub-floor. The sub-floor needs to go down over original vinyl flooring.
Thanks,
Adam
Hello Contractors with flooring installation skills,
There are two flooring jobs here for the same property (my house). I am looking to sell my house very soon so, I want to invest in materials that are decent but not luxurious.
(1) KITCHEN FLOORING JOB
Approximately 200 sq. ft. (16' 7" X 11' 11", see line drawing and photos for specifics)
Preferred materials: $2.00 – $2.50 per sq. ft. (open to LVT, tile, engineered hardwood)
Two things to consider regarding materials for kitchen floor:
(i) the kitchen floor is OSB, plywood, ceramic tile and peel & stick tile already installed (see photo) and the floor is uneven (see photo)
(ii) I prefer to use a flooring material that does not require getting down to the OSB subfloor but, I am not opposed to doing the prep work.
(2) BATHROOM FLOORING JOB
~30 sq. ft. bathroom flooring job (6' 6" X 4' 6") (see photo).
Preferred materials: $2.00 – $2.50 per sq. ft. If I can save money by using the same material in the kitchen, I'll do that. Existing flooring is OSB, Schluter DITRA, Ceramic Tile (see photo). The tiles are cracked and don't have grout (see photo). I will also change the bathroom vanity and the toilet.
I am the homeowner.
Thank you!
Item 1
Kitchen and entrance (contiguous). 180 square feet. Concrete floor. Will supply 13 x 13 porcelain tile, and other materials.
Item 2
Bathroom tub surround and wall. Want to tile all around tub right up to the ceiling. Repair tiles on walls where coming loose. There is a window that will require a new sill. Will supply materials.
Small townhouse kitchen backsplash. I measure it as 20 sq. ft (height of 16 in. along 15 ft of counter-top). Was going to do it myself, but my wife has threatened me with bodily harm if I mess up the kitchen.
There is one corner to deal with and (from memory) two recepticals. There is also a combination microwave/range hood that would likely need to be worked around. No trim/valence on the cupboards.
We have tile already (24 sq. ft of tile that looks similar to this:click here that we would like used. Seems like a mix of ceramic/glass tile. Contractor would have to supply other materials or advise what else is required (grout, etc).
Not a big job but your help would be very much appreciated!
Hello,
My husband and I recently purchased a new house and part of the projects we want to do at the property is to install a backsplash in the kitchen.
We weren't planning for it but had to expedite it as part of other things.
The tiles are already purchased and now we need a good contractor to install them, the surface is about 28 sqft and we would like to receive a quote and also availability to start the service.
I am attaching a picture of the kitchen as reference.
Thanks,
Patricia
I have the glass/stone tile in 1 square foot sheets. The backsplash area is about 30-35 square feet. This was new construction and will be a year old in March 2012. I am looking for a quote for full installation of the tile including grout.
Please let me know the cost of labour and materials needed (other than tile) and if I need to provide the supplies or you bring with.
Thanks.
Hi
Would like to get a quote for kitchen backsplash and tiling in the foyer and washrooms floors
- The kitchen is 9*11 (Need to install backsplash is on a 11' wide wall and also flooring tiles
- 2 bathroom that are standard size (3PC) - titles only on the flooring
- powder room - flooring titles
- foyer - flooring tiles
Currently the kitchen has no backsplash, hences no demolition required, also the countertop has a deleted moulded backsplash in the kitchen
The flooring in kitchen, washroom, powder room and foyer are vinyl.
I dont need tiles to be put up on the washroom walls just flooring and baseboard.
I havent yet decided what titles i would use on the backsplash and foyer, but it would be something simple.
I may be using ceramic or porcelain floor tiles for the floors.
Thanks
Judy
Looking for a tile backsplash specialist to remove the old tile backsplash and install a new tile backsplash in our kitchen. New tile will be supplied by me but I need you to provide the grouting, adhesive, and tools. Cleanup is required.
We are still deciding on the style of the new backsplash tile so I will just post pics of the existing backsplash.
We will be moving into the new house where the project is taking place on May 31st and our new countertop is being installed on Monday May 3rd. We would like the backsplash installed within the first two weeks of June after the countertop.
The only showing for the house that we have is Friday May 10th from 3-4:30pm, so if you need to see the house in person to quote the job, please let me know if you can visit within that viewing appointment. Unfortunately I don't have the measurements for the new house yet, so if you are able to provide a rough estimate based on the pics, i will accept that as well (pending actual measurements).
We recently had our kitchen redone, but the contractor left without finishing the backsplash, leaving some gaps in the tile around our outlets and just below our cabinets. We'd like to have this competed soon.
The crown moulding edging around the top of the cabinets and an edge around the bottom was also incomplete. If that's also doable, we'd love that finished as well.
We have the additional tile needed to complete the job, but will need to be cut and fitted appropriately.
Hello,
I am looking to have my kitchen floor redone. Its currently got ceramic tiles which some have cracked and alot of the grout has come up.
I am looking for a quote on redoing the entire floor. It is roughly 170 Square feet
I am interested in using ceramic tile or another cheaper flooring material.
Please let me know if you are able to provide a quote or if you need pictures.
Our current plumbing for the kitchen sink will be moving with the new island installation. Therefore the tiles below the island now that have been cut will need to be removed and replaced.
One tile also has to be replaced which was cut for a heat vent as a new pantry will be placed over top.
We require the tile repairs completed on Friday, Feb. 24/17.
(The tiling repair job is time sensitive as the new cabinets will be installed on Wed. March 1/17.)
Hey there, I have some reflective cracking on my tiles in the kitchen. They are over multiple tiles and run in a straight line. I would like them to be fixed or to get all new tiles put down. If I need a new floor, I was wondering if I could re-use the cupboards and granite counter tops? Whatever will keep the cost down.
Looking for a contractor to replace the laminate on my main floor entrance, kitchen, and laundry room with ceramic tile. Rec room and one bedroom needs the carpet replaced with laminate. Also looking to replace the flooring in 3 washrooms with ceramic tile.
I will supply the tiles and the laminate flooring. I am looking for a quality job and someone who can supply the grouting, adhesive, & tools. Cleanup is required.
The house is in Kitchener west and we haven't moved in yet (May 31st), so we will need you to visit and measure/quote the project on Friday May 10th between 3-4:30pm. That is our only viewing time. My apologies but we do not have the sq footage and measurements to provide you at this point.
We would like the project to start at the beginning of June.
We have a rather large project we need help with. Highlights include:
-removing 1 and a half walls
-relocating some electrical outlets and light switches, and likely some work to the breaker panel
-replace flooring on main floor, which includes porcelain tile in the kitchen and hallways, and laminate floor in the living, dining and 2 bedrooms,
-Tearing out existing kitchen cabinets and existing flooring
-rebuilding the front hall closet
-replacing bedroom doors and closet doors in bedrooms
-removing existing kitchen cabinets and install re-purposed kitchen cabinets (taken out of the kitchen of a relative, and sitting in our garage)
-Installing backsplash tile in kitchen
-Among a few other things :)
I'd like the chance to show this job to someone reliable and interested so I can get an estimate on how much his project will be.
Thanks!
My husband is a licensed gas fitter and installed a new fireplace in our living room. Framing and rock board are installed. He IS NOT a tile installer...lolol. Need someone to install the travertine tile we have purchased for the job. 9 feet high, 5 feet wide and 18 inches deep.
Live in Kitchener.
Many thanks
Hey there I have a rec room in looking to lay porcelain tile on I have the tile mortor and wet saw unfortunately I got injured at work before I could finish my project and am.no longer able to do it myself I believe the room is somewhere between 450 and 525 square feet it's an awkward looking room just looking for a non ridiculous quote
Had a crack professionally repaired on the outside basement wall of my laundry room due to water leakage from a crack in the concrete wall. Tile on the basement wall had to be removed in order to repair crack. Due to the age of the tile, I can no longer find a match to replace the tile that had been removed. Therefore all existing tile must be removed and replaced with new tile of similar value. Total area to be tiled is approx 60 sq ft. Please provide a written quote.
