Looking to get a door installed in the garage wall. Standard 30" steel door from Homedepot etc. would suffice. I intend to provide the prehung door, locks and lentil. But, open to you providing it as well.
Outside is brick and inside is bare wood. I have marked the picture with red lines for an approximate location of the door.
Please reply with an estimate, when you can do the job and estimated time to completion.
I am in need of someone to cover an existing 40 ft. wall with another layer of drywall for sound dampening and fill in an existing door. I also need this person to replace 2 old doors and their frames. This is in a yoga studio.
SERIOUS and professional contractors only. I have already wasted time with a couple of contractors who fell off of the map and I need someone who wants to work to get a job done.
We are a 35 year old condo building located at the corner of queen and Joseph in kitchener. We have had a new commercial type back entranceway door installed, and are waiting for a customized threshold to be installed in the coming few weeks. We are looking for someone to supply and install an interior door jam around this door. It looks like one side is 3 3/4 to 4” wide, then the header, and the opposite side is 3 3/4” and gets narrower near the bottom as the wall isn’t straight.
We need to have some exterior window frames replaced due to rotten wood from water damage. The job would require the siding to be removed to see the extent of the damage, all rotten wood replaced and the siding reinstalled. We need this done on 5 windows but more than just the window frames may need to be replaced. The time frame would be as soon as possible.
Happy New Year!
Let me introduce ourselves. We are Rob and Brenda, a married couple with a cat and dog enjoying our modest 60+ year old bungelow in south central Kitchener. The house has it's flaws and is showing it's age, but much of it has been renovated and upgraded.
As a minimum, we're looking to have the large (~4.5'x9.0') living room replaced with a modern and efficient window. We have yet to decide on the type of window, whether a bow, bay or picture, but we do know we want to have the ability to open some part of it for air flow in the house. We can assume our choice will be much dependent on cost. If we go with bay or a bow type window, we would expect the work to include any exterior modification / trim needed to tie the window into the house.
A greater modification to this project is a bit more involved. In addition to the above window, we would like to consider the installation of a new efficient front door. Currently, their is a solid interior door and exterior storm door. Although the combination is nice, I think their inefficiency calls for something a bit more modern.
Things become a bit more advanced with our preference of adding a right side lite to the door installation. We're not sure if this is practical or financially feasible with having only 4' between the large living room window and door. We realize this will require modification to the structure of the interior and exterior wall, brickwork, interior rehabilitation etc which may be a project in itself. The living room has an original feature at the entrance that we would like to retain, but this project would require it's salvaging and relocation.
Looking for interested contractor(s) to consider each project of the two options and express interest on the scope of their abilities and specialties.

I'm looking to install 2 sliding french style patio doors in the LR and DR of our recently purchased 13 year old house in Ayr. I would also like to see if it's possible to install one large window in the master bdrm in place of the 2 small windows that exist now. Also want to price a skylight for over our staircase- that one looks pretty straight forward. My concern is that the main floor is all brick and that would have to be removed (my husband is a licensed electrician so all electrical relocations could be handled by him- but I don't want him messing with the exterior bricks.)
I need to replace all the windows in my new house, built around 1900. I also need to do some plumbing work immediately. The inside renovations will come later in the spring, central air and kitchen and bathroom reno.
The house is aprox 1200 sq ft. It had a reno in the 60s and nothing since
All windows are to be top quality such as Pella or comparable

We have two massive windows we would like to refinish and make into doors on tracks. The frames need to be cleaned off and painted, and a piece of wood approximately 10 inches in height needs to be added to the top or the bottom because the windows are shorter than the current door. We would need them installed too with black fixtures ideally. Our inspiration is the East Room in Torontoclick here
I live in an 80 year old house with all original interior doors and casings. The wood has been "cut out" to accommodate the hinges. One of my doors has come off because the hinge screws into the frame have completely stripped the wood. I have used plugs, pegs etc. that only hold for a short time. I need someone with experience with this sort of thing to fix the problem and re-hang the door. This is likely a small project.
Current doors are mirror sliders. I am unsure if I wish to stay with mirrored sliders or go with something else.
-overall opening is 58.25”
-door length including trim is 85”
-one door is 30.5”; the other door is 28”
I would like someone to come out and take accurate measurements and be able to assist me in choosing what would work. I have been in touch with Riverside Millwork Group in Waterloo for door options but need someone to measure correctly and do the install.
Replace the flooring in my basement. (1 Bedroom and a small hallway)
Take out a single door and add a double door into the bedroom. (I have the double doors)
The current floor in the bedroom is a shoddy wood sub-floor and carpet.
The current floor in the hallway is industrial carpet with no sub-floor.
I would like to install hardwood in the bedroom and the hallway.
I'd like to get the current entry door and screen door at the back of my house replaced. A 32"x80" door would fit in the opening (the current door is a few inches shorter, with extra trim to fill up the extra space). For the entry door, it should be a right-hand door, well insulated (energy star preferred), with a half-circle window on the top.The screen door should have glass panes as well as a screen.
