We are looking to move our washer and dryer from our main floor to the basement. There is already plumbing in the basement but some work will need to be done to accommodate this. We would also require a new dryer vent out the side of the house. Drywall would need to be put up as well. We are in a brand new subdivision. House is about 2.3-3 years old.
Primarily, I need someone with a van or truck to help move our old TV out and deposit at Best Buy or even just the driveway and will get it removed later in week. Need a lift to Best Buy or Walmart to pick up new TV-48-50 inch. I drive a VW Jetta and there is no way I can fit in my car. Upon arriving back home, need assistance installing the wall bracket on studs and then hanging TV. If your handyman has a problem with picking up TV at store, I could probably use a Taxi, they will send a van if requested but I would need the handy guy at my residence to assist me with unloading.
Would like to get this dome on Sat. Is there someone who can help and of course, I need an estimate.
Hello to the Handymen out there,
I bought a house about a year ago and closing in on finally getting a bunch of the little fixes out of the way, however the ones that are left on the list are ones that I do not know how to do myself and want to make sure it is done properly. Don't want to cause more damage than good.
- Some outside caulking (minor cracks in brickwork) home inspector has recommended to caulk the cracks
- parging on one wall of house
- adding soffit vents (however many that would be required)
- helping finishing flooring (end caps and stairs only)
- Some baseboard and windows trim to finish (was borrowing a friends nail gun and he required it back) (2 windows, 5 doors, and very little baseboard remaining.
- Possible bathroom reno (again open to suggestions)
That is pretty much the list! I am putting in budget as $500-$1000, but I don't know what this would normally cost, or costs, so please reach out with any questions or if more information is required.
Timing is flexible, but would rather have it done and out of the way and during a time I can schedule to be home for it .
Cheers, and look forward to getting your help!
I would like to remove a wall between my kitchen and living room area. I would be keeping the bottom 3 - 4 feet of existing wall as that leads onto the kitchen counter. It would then hang over into the living room with a kitchen nook (bar top) a few inches above the counter top. I would like a support beam on the ceiling in between the kitchen and living room running about 10 feet in length. I do not believe that the wall is load bearing. I need professional advice for that. I require a free estimate. Ceiling height approx 10 feet. Thank you kindly.
We have lived in our home for over 16 years and have not been too good with normal upkeep. We had our kitchen renovated about 13 years ago and it needs some finishing work done, the cupboards are settling and the counter top will have to be replaced. As well we are also going to be renovating our basement and willl need some drywall work done. We would like to spread this over the next 5 to 6 months.
Hello,
I have a steel building Near Chatham, Ont. that I am looking for some help with.
It is a 30x46 A-Style steel building from future steel buildings. The cement pad has been completed already with built in channels in which the steel structure sit in. The steel building has been put together on the ground so all pieces have been assembled (hand tightened bolts to allow forgiveness as instructed by the manufacture). This leaves the final scope of the project to resurrect the assembled pieces on the ground. There are 23 pieces that need to be lifted and bolted together as well as all the bolts through the structure need to be tightened.
I have a scissor lift on site that can move around on the cement pad. I have been hoping to raise the structure myself, but have not had a nice day yet when I have had free time off work to do so. Work will be busy the next few months and I would prefer to just get the project complete if someone is able to. I am very flexible in the timeline as it would be desired to wait for a fair weathered day.
Hi there I'm looking for someone to put up a painting in a high place. My husband doesn't like being on a ladder. We also need someone to paint a door, some small drywall dings and painting, some caulking and a few other things. Let me know. The sooner the better. Possibly our deck refinished.
I am looking for a handyman to repair three window blinds in my London ON condo (Masonville area). One venetian blind has fallen from its mounting, another has a frayed pull cord which needs to be restrung, and all of the blinds and curtain rods need sturdier wall anchors. As I am out of town and the unit is occupied by tenants, I will need someone who can also source parts/materials. The windows are tricky as they are very wide (over 2 metres) in a concrete building with metal framing. If possible I also need to have one of the toilets adjusted, as it currently doesn't flush unless the lever is held down. Please let me know if you are interested, which days and hours you are available, and an approximate quote for the work.
