Hello,
I'm looking to have my bathroom extended into the closet. Total sq ft: 85' (5' X 17')
I would like the tube taken out and a stand-up shower put in it's place.
Tear down the bathroom wall separating the bathroom and closet.
Single sink taken out and a double vanity sink put in. The sink would be relocated to the side wall, about 4 feet away.
I need:
-Wall torn down.
-Plumbing for shower and sink.
-Electrical done for pot lights and switches.
-Shower installed but not tiled (fully water proof-Schluter system).
-New fan installed.
A free quote and maybe some recommendations would be great.
I would handle the tiling, painting and fixture hook-ups.
Thanks
Patrick

We are aiming to keep the renovation as close to $10,000 as possible. We have had companies in with quotes well over $26,000. Beautiful elaborate designs. We are looking for the simple, spa style design. Clean lines. 12x24" tiles on the floor. Possibly throughout the shower as well.
Complete teardown of 10x5 bathroom down to studs due to black mold. Rebuild with new drywall, floor, tile, toilet, bathtub and sink/vanity.
** NEW INFORMATION **
Fixtures such as bathtub, toilet, lighting and sink/vanity as well as tiles and paint will be supplied. All other building materials will not be.
A general contractor should NOT attempt to remove the building materials without following proper mold remediating guidelines and standards.
Containment of the bathroom workarea should be set up under negative air pressure using negative air/HEPA machines and allow for a minimum of 4 air changes per hour.
Moldy materials to be removed include but are not limited to:
* All sub-floor from wall to wall under tub south to past the toilet
* All wood studs if too badly damaged should be removed. If they cannot be removed cleaning of all wood surfaces will be required. Rigorous and abrasive cleaning of the wood members must be employed. The wood material should then be treated with an anti-microbial disinfectant and encapsulated with an anti-microbial paint.
* Main floor ceiling cavity should be inspected below this area. Should drywall material be found to be contaminated it is to be removed using most appropriate containment
* Any other material found to be contaminated during the remediation process such as baseboards and trim.

I have 3 bathrooms and 1 powerroom to renovation:
Master bathroom - Size 12-1/2' x 9-1/2' Renovate everything including bath tub (corner tub), frameless glass shower, vanity, toliet, floor tiles and wall tiles, subfloor heating, pot lights, bathroom fan and paint. In addition, change the existing two closets (one is walk-in closet and one is regular closet) outside of the master bathroom into a 12-1/2' x 8-1/3' size walk-through closet to the bathroom - two walls need to be removed and one wall needs to be extended. Floor tiles and pot lights also need to be installed.

The master bathroom is approx 100 sq ft, 4 piece (tub, shower, sink, toilet)
Primary purpose of project is to gut and replace existing stand-up shower in master ensuite. We would like a tiled shower with seamless glass frame/door. This is a must do.
Secondary purpose is to explore possibility of reno rest of master bathroom: re-tiling floor and tub surround, replace vanity, replace toilet.
Third purpose is to possibly make some renovations to a 2nd bathroom in the house which is approx 45sqft. Looking at retiling the floor, replacing vanity.
There are some minor "handyman" tasks that need doing that we can discuss too. For example, would like to have a new kitchen faucet & sink installed.
Once I know what's possible and of course based on estimate/budget, we will decide scope of project.
