Hi I'm a contractor looking for a subcontractor to install hardwood flooring in a townhouse located in Markham, 9th line & 19th side Rd. We are supplying the hardwood and underlay. We need a contractor to install and do a proffesional job. Dining room area, main floor hallway, stairs leading to 2nd floor, 2nd floor hallway. total sq footage is under 500sqft. I need this done between Dec 15 & Dec 21st. Need an estimate asap.
I live in a 45 year old home. I've noticed (upward) bowing of hardwood floors on the second floor of my sidesplit home. It's quite prominent in one of the bedrooms. The other rooms are obviously not that level...but they slope to one side more than they bow. I am looking into re-installing new hardwood floors on the second floor but will need it leveled first. Can someone tell me how much a job like this would cost? I would say that the entire top floor is roughly 700-750 sq. ft.
I will probably want to install dark hardwood flooring...oak or maple is ok as long as it looks good.
Thanks
Would like to install hardwood flooring about 1200 square feet (whole second level) plus family room (approx 17x12' on main floor, plus do the stairs leading up to second floor (expect you will remove existing pickets and reinstall after hardwood laid down.
Separate quote needed for removal of existing carpet and rescrewing all floors as part of prep work.

Our project involves removal of carpet on second floor and stairs, installation of hardwood floor (Canadian Oak or maple), handrail/balusters are to be stained or changed due to unmatch colour/stain. Approximately 660 sq ft on second floor.
Paint the entire ground floor and second floor, including doors, bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, trims, baseboards. 1650 sq ft total.
There is no indoor access to garage and we would like to build one, I wonder if the contractor can help with obtaining permit.
If budget allows, we would like to work on the following as well.
We are also looking into possibility to remove the stucco ceiling on ground floor and add around 15 pot lights. Second floor stucco ceiling to be repainted.
We would like to install ceramic tiles in our kitchen and foyer. Right now there are vinyl tiles there. The kitchen is around 200-250sqft and the foyer probably around 100-130sqft. We already have the tiles, we just need them to be laid by a professional (we don't have grout or anything else that might be required).
Another possibility is that we'd like to lay hardwood flooring in a couple of the bedrooms (they now have wall-to-wall carpeting). Each bedroom is probably around 150sqft. We also have the hardwood floor planks already.
I'm guessing the house is around 40-50 years old.
Right now I'm looking for an online estimate, but we'd like to complete the work in the next few weeks (ie. Dec-early Jan) if the price is right.
Thank you all for your time!
Remove existing wood flooring and install new in a 12 x12room. Also install hardwood in another room 10 x 10, I will have removed existing carpet already. 12 yr old house, one of the rooms original floor has water staining so may be a leaking window. If an active Leak may need work on siding, window, drywall, subfloor in the affected area. Need your help to investigate and resolve the leak. I will provide the hardwood materials. Thanks.
house is 130 years old, it has carpets in the bedrooms right now...not sure what is under but it looks like there are original floors than playwood than carpet.
we would remove the carpets. Would like to save baseboards is possible. If not would need baseboards to be installed as well. Already have the floors in the house. It is Golden Select 14.3 mm laminate (12.3 mm+ 2 mm attached foam backer). Regualr V-grooved edges on all four sides (4.96" wide).
Would like to get it done ASAP.
Thank you.
I am currently obtaining quotations to put laminate flooring on our living room which is about 220 square feet. I need to make sure these laminate has no formaldehyde, very low VOC emission levels and with environmentally-friendly sealers. Since, it is a heavy traffic area (children, play area); I am looking for the best laminates that are very resilient to scratches and denting. I am currently looking for online estimates only. Once I finalize the vendor, I will be coordinating the site visit to get more precise quotations with each selected vendor. In your quotation, please indicate the various type of laminates that are recommended and their square feet price and labour. I also would like to get it done in a short period of time (in a few hours).
Thank you.

I would like to install laminate flooring at my house which is about 1000-1200 sq ft (12mm or higher). I'm on very tight budget. You will be providing material as well. We have curved carpeted stairscase with railing which also need to be laminated. kindly email me with ur estimates. include labour/material/under lay. I'm not a professional so don't know much please Help me if there are more things to be neeeded.
We have a small sunken family room that we are looking to raise up. It is currently 6" below the rest of the house. The house is 24yrs old. Once raised, it should be at the same level as the underlying brick of the fireplace. The room is currently carpeted and will be replaced with hardwood. The carpet will be removed by us and the hardwood is another project. There is a bay window as shown in the photo and layout diagram. Dimensions are as shown on the diagram. Don't know if you need this info but there is a half wall on the right side and load bearing wall at the bottom/south side of the room. Your estimate of cost of just raising the family room floor would be appreciated.
16,000 square foot house with a basement of 600 square foot. Just had a contractor rip out old laminate floor and underlay in basement and installed new underlay and laminate. However, he installed the wrong underlay. I am looking for an estimate for carefully removing the new laminate and replace the underlay with DELTA-FL an re-install the same laminate.
We have a slightly curved stair case from main floor to 2nd floor that is currently fully carpeted. We would like to make it oak as well as stain it a darker colour. We are looking to make the stringer and treads oak, stain the railings, pickets, stringers and treads a darker colour. The stair has 13 steps. Please see attached photos. We would like the same thing done for the stair case from main floor to the basement. Your pricing of cost would be appreciated.
