My house is a detached at approx. 2100 sq. feet, so I would say my basement is medium size. I'm looking to keep it a open concept basement with a washroom (stand-up shower, toilet, sink). I would also like to have a small bar, tv with surround sound system, a gas fireplace, and once I can afford to, I plan on putting in a pool table. I would like to get started on this work as soon as possilbe, so please get back to me soon.
Thanks,

Hi,
I have a large unfinished room in my basement that I would like finished to include a small 3pc washroom and bedroom. Right now the room is in the studs. Size is roughly 8’x20’. I live in Milton.
What is the best time to meet and assess a lump sum estimate for labour and material?
Thanks,
Daniel
-Basement separate entrance required
-Also, take existing large window from where entrance door will go and move to create a new window location (above grade)
-'Lookout' Lot - grade slopes down to back - Only 4' below grade to dig
-Corner house - no fence - very easy access, all equipment/vehicles can park right in front of the work location.
PLEASE EMAIL ME A BIT ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND I WILL SEND THE ENGINEER'S DRAWINGS AND A PICTURE.
I would like someone to put up the studs and drywall in my basement. This would include some electrical work and potential water and electricity for a small kitchen/bar in the future. I would also like to see how much it would cost to add a 2 piece bath. The main purpose of the project is to put up walls around the basement and enclose the furnace and pipes so that my son can play in the basement.
I am planning to finish the basement this year, as soon as possible or no later than May/June.
It's approx 800 Sq ft of area. In fact it is less than 800.
1. We don't need full kitchen, but we need a small kitchenette area 6x12, with one pantry shelf and kitchen counter top and under cabinet, and tiles in that small area.
2. We just need 2 small areas as storage rooms, no need to finish inside.
3. We need laminate flooring, with the Delta-FL pad underneath.
4. Need a 2 piece toilet, with ceramic tiles.
5. Total 8 pot lights. 2 Florescent lights.
6. The walk down steps to be finished with Laminate, up to the powder room entrance in the ground floor.
The contractors who provide the price quote below 15,000$ will be considered with preference. I will be absorbing the cost variances resulted from any of the materials specific upgrades I am choosing. These shall be discussed before starting the project and agreed upon deriving the total project cost.
We have other project to do; we need to change the carpet in Ground floor (300 Sq ft) to Hardwood. Looking for Workmanship quote for 500$. Materials shall be discussed separately and shall be paid as is.
Thanks
Hi There,
I have actually bought a Mattamy home and going through the process of builder upgrades now. Theyre charging $490/light for potlights and around $5000 to install roller shades around the house. The pricing does look kinda crazy but I wanted to see how it matches up with your pricing at this time.
I will be getting the house in March of next year and right away I will be hiring someone to finish the basement. It will void Mattamy’s 10 year warranty if I make changes to the basement in the first 2 years but I can’t afford a 800k mortgage without rent coming from the basement. So I wanted to get an approx cost of finishing a 5-600 sqft basement as well. Its a detached new construction house closing march next year and I got the large windows, 3 pc washroom rough in and a separate entrance for the basement from Mattamy to give you an idea. Your free estimate would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to get an idea of the price so I can save up for it by March next year. Thank you!

Hello, We're looking to have our basement finished - nothing fancy or elaborate. It's roughly 400 SFT, it'll need electrical work and plumbing for a bar sink (The bar and cabinetry is done) We'll use existing electrical for lighting but will need outlets. The floor will be carpeting. We hope this can be done for around $10,000.00 - is this realistic? You tell me
Thanks

We'd like to finish our full basement in Milton. Our basement is about 670 square feet big. We wanted everything just open-spaced, simple & basic. With walls to flooring to ceiling (basic). Our stairs just basic, have it paint it over it. We're hoping to sell our place in about a year, or so. We don't want to spend $$ on our basement.
