We have finished our basement and now our house is up for sale. The common concern we are finding with interested home buyers is "theres no bathroom in the basement". So we need to VERY quickly get a 2 peice down there and do it as affordably as possisble...By quickly I mean in the next week, by affordably I mean as low as possible (we are reselling this house).
I will be accepting bids until December 10th as construction has to be completed by January 1 2008.
Property owner looking to hire a contractor to fix an upstairs bathroom ceiling, including:
- remove the existing moisture-damaged ceiling,
- install moisture-resistant drywall ceiling (approx 8 ft x 10 ft), mud/tape, ready for paint
- install exterior damper (approx. 20 ft above ground)
- run length of duct from damper to rough area of fan
- depending on trades, either rough-in ceiling exhaust fan or just leave the duct ready for electrician
I believe the attic insulation is batt; ideally this is not disturbed or is moved aside during work then replaced after construction.
Budget: $3000+
Vision/Style: Modern
Vanity size: 8' x 22" x 6" - 2 sinks.
Lower shelf: 8' x 22" x 6".
Pot light Header: 8' x 22" x 6"
Finish: All three pieces must have same finish. Prefer the natural feel of wood, but willing to look at other options.
The front skirt of the vanity should hang low enough to cover the exposed sink underneath.
Thanks in advance, looking forward to hearing what you come up with.

Hello, I am looking to renovate my bathroom. Bathroom is approx. 5 ft. by 10 ft.
-new tub and tub faucet.
-5 or 6 pot lights.
-new drywall.
-new tile (12").
-new vanity and countertop.
-new vanity faucet.
-new vanity light fixture.
-new door and baseboard.
Thanks for your replies.
We need tile on all sides of our tub, and the ceiling of the tub removed - tub removed - want replaced with mould resistant drywall and tub surround, with new tub (nothing fancy). We do not, however, have a large budget for this project and have no idea what the cost may be.
We have a constant battle with mould around the tub and the tub ceiling due to a drop in the wall which cuts off the steam escaping the area ~ the tub is also not installed properly and may be original (20 yrs) or close to it. The tub is slanted the wrong way and water piles up in one corner.
Please contact us to set up appointment. Require 3 quotes.
I have an "L" shaped office that is adjancent to my master bedroom (second floor) and I would like to convert it into a master ensuite. It is approximately 75sq ft. The current upstairs bathroom is directly opposite the office.
House is approx 40 yrs old - Milton
Thanks!
Dave
Looking to hire a contractor to:
- remove existing bathtub and shower wall tile.
- install new bathtub and tiles
- install new shower fixtures
- install and wire ceiling fan, exhaust duct
- re-route a wire in the attic
- re-paint bathroom walls, trim, and ceiling (ceiling paint is chipped (see photo), will require special attention).
We want to do the following renovations:
First shower, wall removal, tile removal, bulkhead removal, prep the wall and install tiles, niche, glass enclosure.
Second Shower tiles removal, bulkhead removal, (Tub removal/Refinish?), prep walls, install tiles, niche, and sliding glass door.
If you want to take the vanity work and closet work can be discussed as well.
The budget selected below for all three.
Our home is an 8-yr. old Mattamy, split-level bungalow with a finished basement. Just recently, we discovered a leak that appears to be coming from our ensuite shower stall. The stall is about 4' x 3' with a center drain. In doing my investigation, I discovered that the caulking on the floor tiles is cracking. I plugged the drain and put enough water on the floor of the stall to cover it completely and could hear the dripping water in the basement. I believe the integrity of the stall floor and/or the drain is the problem but would need it confirmed, obviously. I'm all but sure the problem is not coming from a burst pipe.
We live in a townhouse in milton ontario. We have an existing bathroom that we need redone (replace tiles on floor and walls, replace bathtub, sink, and all existing faucets.)
We need to install a bathroom from scratch in an unfinished basement. just basic toilet, standup shower, and sink, vinyl tiles.
We also need a water softner installed. We prefer to do ALL together for a reasonable price. Would like estimate and basic diagram of how bathroom in basement will be done.
I need help finishing a basement bathroom. I had my basement bathroom started by a contractor that did not completely finish it. I would say that the bathroom is 95% complete. There are little finishing touches that need to be done. The biggest thing to be done: shower glass was installed, but not properly, so I need this to be redone. Other than that, only a few finishing touches are left to be done. I need this done within the next 7 days.
Thanks,
Wesley

Hello,
We have a basement bathroom that just had the sewage pit replaced. We need someone to frame and drywall a closet around it with door access. And prep with drywall and install a Maax 32" shower stall kit beside the closet (we have purchased the kit already, model#101568000129). Rough in for shower drain is done.
Re-Install existing toilet.
New construction, projects to completed:
1. Basement washroom - full completion (rough in only)
tiles, tub, toilet and vanity already purchased, just need drywall
2. Crown moulding installation on main floor of house, hallway upstairs and master bedroom (to be purchased)
3. Install hardwood flooring throughout main floor, upstairs hallway and master bedroom ( hardwood already purchased)
4. Painting of main floor, upstairs hallway, master bedroom
5. Install new baseboards in all areas where hardwood installed (to be purchased)
We would prefer contractor has some contacts to purchase materials not already available, for baseboards, moulding and window frames if price is right.
Possession date of house is May 14, 2010. Work may start May 17, 2010. There will be no furniture or other items in house, site clean. On line estimate at this time only.
House is 2300sq.ft, two storey detached in a new subdivision in Milton.
Please provide estimates for time and budget.
We will request references.
Thank you in advance for responding.
Hello,
We are currently in the process of finishing our basement and I would like to get a quote for tiling our laundry room. Depending on the availability of our current contractor, there may also be the possibility of finishing a bathroom in the basement. That is, our current contractor may not be available to accommodate our timelines so we would also like a quote for finishing our bathroom (framing bathtub, creating shower pan, tiling shower, and floor). Can you please provide a few date/time options for when you could stop by our house? Thank you!
Kind Regards,
Paula
I am looking for some work to be done in a washroom. Currently washrooms have tiles and tub installed in the bottom. I want to get the tub removed and have a walk out shower. The titles on the walls are in a good condition, so these do not need to be replaced, but we will have to tile the area from where the tub will be removed (I have tiles for this). I would also need glass sliding door (to prevent the water from coming out. Could you please quote me on how much it would cost for this. Attached are images of what I have and what I want.
The tub is 59 inches (Len) x 29 inches (wide) x 16 inches (high). I am okay with having a pre-configured floor.
Small Powder Room in a semi detached 30+year old home. New Plumbing already done.
Needs new flooring ( Ceramic tiles) Trim, ceiling and drywall repair and able to hook up everything as well.
Additional small projects as well. Ceiling repair/replace in a small 3x10 ( approx) area.
Hang new closet doors. Remove Sliders and put up doors.
Baseboards and crown moulding in a living room. Approx 20x14
Hi,
I am interested in renovating my powder room. I would like backsplash installed from ceiling to floor where the sink is located, install mirror, install floating vanity, change baseboards, put 2 pot lights and I'm not sure if you can put up wall paper. I would like this done sometime next week. If you can give me a quote that would be great.
Thanks.
