I am a home owner in Mississauga, I would like to attract more income to my house. I would like to renovate my basement. I have two rooms and one washroom. I would like to add a kitchen, laundry and a laundry upstairs. I would like to have an estimate of how much I have to spend. I received an estimate of 15.500 with tax. I would lie to know if its expensive or good price
I have in the basement two bathrooms and two range hoods. All is ducted but I need to duct them properly to vent outside. New holes might need to be done on outside wall.
Everything is around the same spot only divided by drywall.
Currently the basement does not have ceiling.
The distance from the farther range hood to the outside wall is approximately 25 ft.
a) Create a small (90 sq ft) laundry room in the basement - put up 2 walls, waterproof and tile floor, put up 3 doors, close off ceiling, align plumbing.
b) tile small bathroom (60 sq ft), remove old vanity & toilet; install new vanity and toilet.
Budget - $5000 for both jobs, tax-incl.
Warranty - 2 years on all work done.
Insured and certified only.

I have an house that is about 2700 sq. ft. I need to finish the basement and create an side entrance for the basement. The problem is that my house furnace is below the laundry room and my stairs are running down in the center of my home.
Can you please give me and quote on it or come and look at our house for an estimate.
I have approx 950sq ft basement, currently empty. The plan is to build out a living area, a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and a laundry room. No existing rough-in. I would like pot lights. I would like tile in laundry room and bathroom and carpet in the rest of the area, including stairs. House is 6 years old.
We have unfinished basement. There is a standard half wall fiber glass insulation, but it seems like previous owner had a mouse infestation in that fiber glass (We have not seen any live mouse or any evidence of it). We need to pull all that insulation down, frame the basement (we want a vet basic project, frame around the walls, insulate it, and frame for 3 large rooms, simple plan).
I have 6 ugly poles in my basement that I want cover with Octagonal columns which I bought and have the ceiling and floor moulding. I need them installed, prime, paint.
Note: The basement is finished, the ceiling is a DROP ceiling 2x2 and the floor is CERAMIC.
Please let me when you can do it and how much you will charge.

House is 10 years old and has poured concrete foundation. 1800 Square foot basement. Total linear feet around outside of basement: 191 feet.
Plan on making three enclosed rooms - storage area around furnace/hot water heater, powder room, additional storage area. There will be an additional room (fitness area) which will only have small half walls in the entrance way (no actual door). Flooring to be a combination of carpet, hardwood/laminate, and some type of rubberized flooring for fitness area.
Pictures of existing basement are posted below as well as a schematic of the basement showing a rough outline of the proposed room.
Lighting will be LED potlights in all area (except storage rooms and powder room).
