Hello,
My in-laws have lived in their existing home for over 35 years and have not made any upgrades or renovation in the 35 years that they have lived there. They are now ready for me to come in and upgrade their house to standards that will allow them to sell in the near future. I would like to start with the main bathroom and as I do not know any contractors that I can rely on, this would be the first of many possible other projects. Depending on the cost, service, quality, response time, time taken to finish the job, the contractor chosen will have access to future jobs such as kitchen and basement full renovation.
The Bathroom Project will consist in retiling the floor, a new bathtub, toilet, sink and counter. The theme will be neutral and simple with a touch of modern. I will look to the contractor for a discount in materials and advice on wherever possible to save money. I am looking for a contractor who can communicate very well (speak very good english) and can explain details in simple english.
Looking to replace and upgrade two - bathrooms--20 yrs old estimated.
main bathroom will need tub/shower, toilet + vanity, electrical + plumming.
Second Master onsuite is Shower, Toilet and Sink.-- All retiled, all new.-- Gut to studs, and start over job.-- will have to address the heating systems, and the venting of the toilets.
Master Bath
Total Gut - New Drywall & Ceiling/Tile/Bath Tub/Sink/Cabinets/Lighting/Update Exhaust System (No shower stall). Note that this bathroom also has the Washer/Dryer
2nd Bath
Major Gut - New Ceiling/Tile/Shower Stall/Sink/Cabinets/Update Exhaust System (No bath tub)
This is a HIGH RISE CONDO approx 25 years old with strict working hours
3 bathrooms to be completely gutted and renovated.
Requirements
1 master bathroom with standalone bath, glass frameless shower, double vanity, all new wall and floor tile. Fan installation
1 bathroom with standard tub, and new wall and floor tile, double vanity. Fan installation.
1 bathroom with shower and new vanity, new tile for shower and floor.
Approximately 200 square feet of other tiling, with 100 feet of in floor heating.

Location in the house would be essentially right below an existing washroom on the second floor, and more or less above the soil stack.

Need to add a three piece bathroom to the basement of my recently bought house in Mississauga. Toilet, Sink and Shower only, no Tub. - Standard toilet (which I will purchase), Standard Sink (which I will purchase), and standard shower with good quality tiles (which I will chose and purchase) + add a glass door. Need space for mirror and cabinet. Must do all plumming, electrical, fan & heating as applicable. Must also enclose with drywall. There's a window, and the basement is fully finished today with dry wall, wood details and hardwood fllor. Laundry room is within 6 feet. Good luck.
I would like add a shower in the powder room. The powder room is very small but there is a pantry on the adjacent wall that can be removed and taken into the powder room. Alternately, there is a sunken laundry area on the main floor which opens into the foyer and garage. By moving the garage door to a nearby foyer wall, the laundry room can be converted in to a full bath room and then the existing powder room can be removed. If we decide to remove the existing powder room, I would also like to remove the wall between family room and the kitchen to make it a one big open space.

Hello,
We're looking to get work done in two bathrroms, a small ceiling patch repair indoors, backyard deck staining/painting/repair, hot tub removal and seating area creation where the hot tub now is. Looking for one general contractor who is able to quote and complete all requested jobs.
2 items:
a) Create a small (90 sq ft) laundry room in the basement - put up 2 walls, waterproof and tile floor, put up 3 doors, close off ceiling, align plumbing.
b) tile small bathroom (60 sq ft), remove old vanity & toilet; install new vanity and toilet.
Budget - $5000 for both jobs, tax-incl.
Warranty - 2 years on all work done.
Insured and certified only.
Basement...laminate tiles onto concrete, drop ceiling installed (we have most of the materials currently), electrical work ie spot lights into drop ceiling, re route duct so heat flows into the room not onto the top of the drop ceiling...room is approximately 12x24
Upstairs main bathroom...unclog drains, evaluate sink, toilet and tub...replace sink, toilet and tub if necessary, do any tile work necessary etc. basically a bathroom update.
We have all the rough-ins for a 3 pc. framing is completed and my husband has gone through the concrete floor since the pipe for the shower drain and the p-trap needs to be moved before the base can be installed.
What I would like is to hire contractor to move the piping and install the base and drain of the new shower stall so my husband doesn't have to do this work. I may even decide to have a contractor install the entire shower stall and surprise my husband.
I would appreciate receiving a quote on this from 2 or 3 contractors.
Hi,
I started a basement bathroom reno but don't have the time or motivation to finish.
I've attached a couple pics but basically the plumbing and electrical are roughed in and the shower is framed in.
Ive already bought the tiles for the shower and bathroom floor and the vanity/sink.
Need to tile the shower, bathroom floor. Tiles are already cut and set out on the floor, but not laid down.
Install: vanity, light fixtures, baseboard, toilet, trim around window, bathroom door.
And then prime and paint.
I'm flexible on the starting date.
Water is leaking from the tiles... It is not a plumbing issue as per a certified plumber.. Apparently some sort of membrane is not installed properly underneath the tiles.. Hence water is leaking when stepped on tiles.. Want to know the estimate required to fix issue.. Wud need to replace drywalls due to mould building up as a result of the leak.
Basement is a rental unit with a tenant currently residing. Bathroom is very small - approx. 6'x4' - contains toilet, shower and mini-vanity. The piping to the shower fixture leaked inside the wall and some mould is visible. Two walls with minor water/mould damage need to be removed and a new shower and vanity installed. We are considering using a shower unit versus rebuilding a shower stall and tiling - need recommendation.
This project may be expanded by taking down an additional wall to combine with the adjacent laundry room. This will require moving some plumbing and electrical as well as expanding the shower. Input from potential contractor and pricing will determine project expansion.
The house is approx. 30 years old and is located just south of Heartland Town Centre (401/Mavis) in Mississauga. The basement is a walk-out, so there is easy access from the front and rear of the house.
I want to add a 3 piece washroom in my finished basement.
There is an empty room with the plumbing already roughed in, but it appears to only be big enough for a toilet and a sink (approximately 4 ft by 8 feet). The empty room shares a wall with a walk-in closet that I was thinking could be used for additional space, and shares a wall with a storage room which could be used for additional space.
I'd like to use sturdy materials, but am not looking to make this bathroom luxurious or to spend too much.
Please let me know what your best price would be.
Thank you,
Ahmed
Basement Living room is finish but need to have a full bath. The area where the full bath is going to be is completely unfinish and there are drainage and plumbing around the area. I did my own basement but I do not want to do my own basement bathroom because I want to relocate the toilet and shower drain.
