I am looking to have my small bathroom renovate.
Age of house 10 yrs. (3 storey)
Current leaking from main upstair washroom. I believe it is from the toilette. so leaking to the main floor living room.
Current is 3 pieces with a bat tub. no place for more than regular sink, toilet and bathtub.
Project woule be, Arrange the plumbing problem. Change bath tub, tile/ceramic around bath up to whole wall. Ceramic on floor. Faucet and shower head to inslall. Sink and cabinet to be install. Paint. Lighting to install.
Thank you
Master ensuite needs updating. All fixtures can remain in the same location. Tub is a large soaker corner tub and takes up a large amount of space, so depending on cost, I would like to remove and replace it with a modern free standing tub. Shower stall is currently tiled and is about 50" x 30" rectangular with solid walls so I'd like to have it enclosed in glass on 2 sides and have the other 2 walls retiled. Replace the current vanity with 2 sinks and 2 mirrors with vanity lights above. Floors are ceramic which I'd like replaced with porcelain. I'm open to suggestions.
Standard 8x5 condo bathroom -r older building - 25yr+. Currently has 1 inch tiles.
Retile floor and 3 walls surrounding the bathtub up to ceiling with a large tile. Replace bathtub, toilet , sink vanity and cabinet above vanity.
Does the contractor remove all the old tiles and fixtures and dispose of them, is that priced seperately?
Do I need to engage a plumber and electrician seperately or is that included in the estimate?
Approx cost for this job and approx time required.
I am looking to have my bathroom completely renovated, we had a leak and it has gone into the wall, we had the leak repaired but now need to have the floor / shower wall / outside wall all gutted and new walls put in. My bathroom is a small one it measures 40 square feet. I am also looking to have a new toilet and sink put in. I am not sure but the tub may need to be taken ot also and the floor under it repaired, but again am not sure. Thats all I can think of, if you have any questions on my request please do not hesitate to ask.
i am planning on up dating my 37 year master bathroom which is on the second floor. I am on a budget but i have bought my toliet, tiles ,and vanity. I have some wood rot on the subfloor just above my toliet. its not a big area and the rest of the floor is fine. The floor joises are fine/solid i can see them from the open bulkhead. i am pretty sure its a section just behind the toliet.
My questions are:
1. Instead of me ripping out the subfloor completely can i just lay 1/2 inch of waterproof plywood/subfloor over the existing subfloor? or do i just cut out a new piece and match it to the existing floor joises.
2. If the above is possible do i need to purchase a flange that will fit the new floor because the floor will be raised 1/2 inch?
Thanks a bunch,
steph
I have a partially done bathroom that requires completion. Size is about 8X12 - all plumbing is done.
- Marble tile needs to be partially reinstalled on floor and 2 walls (4' high) - these are installed but quality of work is very poor so may require removing some of the installed tiles and replacing or other options (I'm open to suggestion\). Tiles are marble. The previous contractor seems to have had about a 30% spoilage/breakage so there are not many tiles left, my preference would be to complete the work with the remaining tiles
- Shower tiles in a 3X5 walk in shower reinstallation (ceiling is 8') (same tiling quality issue)
- Bathtub needs to be installed and plumbing connected., there is a ledge on the front and back of the bathtub that need to be tiled as well..
- The double sink vanity need to be installed as well as a mirror which has a light in it so electrical need to be done for that.
- One wall need to be drywalled about 6' wide. Toilet need to be installled.
- bathroom vent need to be installed
Semidetached house is 37 years old. Original tub, floors and vanity. Toilet and sink are more recent. Desire to cut into adjacent bedroom closet to enlarge bathroom and put in new tub and separate shower. Plus new ceramic tile floor and vanity. Current L-shaped dimensions roughly 60 inches wide x 97 inches long. After enlarging, roughly 90 inches wide x 97 inches long.
We're renovating an average size bathroom, either doing new tiling and tub or 1-piece tub/shower, and install pressure balance and new shower/tap components regardless of which way we decide to go.
Dimensions:
From current tub to ceiling: 69"
From large wall of tile to front of current tub: 30"
Ceiling of tub/shower: 32" x 59"
References will of course be necessary and verifiable.
Any other questions, please send me a message.
Thanks
House is 10 years old - master bathroom reno - soaker tub remains, replace toilet, vanity, mirror, light fixture - retile bathroom floor, up front of tub and tub surround - considering tiling half way up walls - retile shower stall - would like to remove tiled shower seat and have one piece floor (presently tiles) - remove shower door and leave open
Home is approx 20yrs old. This bathroom will be used for the kids bathroom so we're not looking for anything high end. Everything needs to be replaced, toilet, bath to shower, flooring, cabinet (thinking of something simple from Homedepot), no fancy counter top with 2 sinks instead of just the one. Prefer to have it done in short period of time, baby room next to bathroom.
Please reply as soon as you can so we can make a decision as to whether we are going to start earlier than expected.
lay in necessary wood flooring to support porcelin tiles
extend existing sink plumbing
add 2*4 structure to support dry wall and sink
put up 3' * 3' dry wall to create wall behind sink
lay pre bought tile onto floor and wall backing sink
install sink , faucet , water lines and drian
install toliet
We need the master bathroom and the powder room renovated, plus 5 windows replaced (3 basement, 2 bedroom), a brick walkway raised about 4 inches, and some other minor work done. We recognize that window installers may not do bathrooms and vice versa, so the work may be split into logical parts if needed.
Looking to Replace the Bathtub, Toilet, Floors and Tiles around the bathtub. It is a smaller bathroom 3 x 2 meters. We would be purchasing all materials ourselves and need the labor for installation of drywall around bathtub, tiling the floors, around the bathtub and installing the bathtub itself.

-installation of new plumbing for shower/tub and double vanity
-install new tub
-installation of ceiling exhaust fan
-installation of vanity
-installation of floor tiles
-installation of wall tiles and shower tiles
-removal of waste materials
Materials to be supplied by me:
-faucets for sinks

Size of my bathroom is 4'8" by 7'9". I am looking to have my bathroom renovated my bathroom has a vanity sink, toilet and shower tub combo with tiled walls i would like to keep the same layout for these. I would like to have all my drywall removed, then re drywalled. My bathroom has been cosmetically updated so i am looking to reuse some of my items (sink, vanity, light fixture, toilet, door, towel rack, and shower faucet set.) my bathroom does not have an exhaust fan although it does have a window. What is recommended should i have a fan??? Does code say anything about this? Also how much will i save if i do demo myself?
Update bathroom which is in good condition but requires:
- remove and install new standard 60" bath tub
- new tiles around bath tub - approx 80 sqft
- instal new vanity
I am planning to remove tiles on bath tub walls and sides and remove old vanity, bath tub and prepare for plumbing. The floor tiles are in good condition and not being replaced.
We need to replace the tub, vanity, floor, shower walls, fix / level the floor- we had issues with the main floor tiles due to uneven floors or bad boards, install shower doors. We can do a lot of the demo but what we don't / can't get done we need someone else to do.
Our previous person had to retire due to medical conditions and this is the third job we needed doing. If this jobs works out the next one would be renovating our kitchen.
I need pretty much a complete Bathroom Renovation
I need to remove the Tub, the old tiles, the toilet, the vanity and install new one (wall tile, floor tile, shower door, vanity, toilet, etc)
Replace the shower Drywall (I have separate shower)
I might need to move the door close to the window and increase the shower
I'm looking to have my upstairs bathroom renovation completed. This consists of installing:
- new flooring (which I've purchased)
- new vanity and countertop/sink, taps (again, purchased)
- new mirror (purchased)
- new light fixture (purchased) which may need to be raised a tad due to the new mirror.
- drywall on one wall - essentially there is currently a built in medicine cabinet that I would like removed, so this one wall will need to be dry walled.
- paint walls and ceiling.
No work is required in the bathtub area.
Please let me know if you could provide me with a quotation, and am available at your convenience during the week after 4pm (I work 7:30am to 3:30pm).
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
Nanci
