This weekend we've noticed some discolouration on the ceiling of our family room (first floor). The area of the discolouration is right around the area of our shower.
We're looking for a contractor/restoration professional to come out to asses and provide us with a quote to fix the above mentioned issue.
Existing coffered ceiling is too low in one section (middle cross in room, inside room's perimeter coffer) - would like to have this raised to crown moulding height - coffer is constructed of lightweight metal frame which holds drywall - 2 sections of cross are approx 13ft long and 16ft long, 1ft width, removing approx 6 inches of height.
35 year old townhouse. I just removed a wall between my dining room and kitchen, The Dining room presently has a popcorn finish on the ceiling. The ceiling is in good condition but the popcorn finish is worn with age. I want to have the ceiling reblown and extended into the kitchen area. The Kitchen ceiling is in good condition, smooth and white. The total area to be blown is approximately 10 ft by 16 ft.

I need to have the drywall ceiling in my whole living room to be replaced. Water damage from the bathroom on the 2nd floor. I want to include sound proofing, crown molding and pot light installation as well.
I live in Mississauga (major intersection of Derry and 10th line).
A faulty tub spout in my ensuite shower caused a leak in my living room ceiling. A plumber was able to correct the problem in under two hours but charged me an arm and a leg to do so. Since they don't do drywall repairs, he gave me the number of a contractor who I'm sure will overcharge as well. I'm looking for someone who can repair the hole and stain damage for a reasonable price. One standard 4 by 8 sheet of 1/2 inch drywall will cover all the damage and I can do the painting portion of the job myself after it's properly taped and sanded. I'd suspect this job won't take an experienced contractor very long to do with the right tools.
There is a crack about a foot in length on the popcorn ceiling of my bedroom. It seems to be along a seam and is probably just the tape peeling off. There was some water damage to the ceiling 3 years ago. I am selling the place and have someone that is interested in making an offer once the repaires are made so I would like it fixed asap.
I have about 1800 ft. of popcorn ceiling that I would like to be scraped and skimmed to have a flat ceiling. It was tested for asbestos and there is no asbestos.
Please give me a quote to remove the popcorn ceiling as a price per square foot (in case my measurements are wrong) and as a price for the whole job.
Also please give me a price per square foot for just the skim coat if I were to scrape the popcorn myself.
I have a ceiling that requires a skim coat. It previously had painted popcorn which has been removed. It now needs a skim coat as there remains areas that the popcorn could not be completely removed. This project is for one room (130 sq ft), however, if I am happy with the work of the selected contractor there will be an additional 1800 sq ft available to be completed. Ceiling is 8 ft. House was built in 1990, and therefore asbestos should not be an issue.
Please provide a price to do the 1 room. Include in the price all costs required to make the ceiling paintable. eg popcorn removal and touch ups (or skim coat). If you cannot put a ballpark price for this please do not contact me.
