Presently there is no light in my back yard. I would like to have a wall mounted light with a switch inside the house only.
Also an additional point to place a light stand for the patio. This would need to be switched from the outside only.
Presently there is no outdoor electrical point in the backyard. There is one about 20 feet away. The room connecting to the backyard has an electrical point.
Hello,
While doing renovations this weekend I came across a live wire which was just sitting enclosed in a wall with electrical tape. I tested the wire and sure enough it was live. I believe it is a 220 volt wire.
I found the fuse which the wire is connected to and have shut it off but don't want to just bury the problem.
I would like for someone to come in and give me an estimate to fix the issue.
Please call my cell phone any time to arrange a time.
Thank you,
Phil

JAN.21
I wish to thank all the Companies who have reply to my message.
Perhaps , I have NOT explain well what I am looking for:
I have a box (Westinghouse - model Nova Line C-24 - 125 A with main breaker & 12 more ) probably dated 25 - 30 years ago when was build the townhouse ( Erin Mills & Burhamthorpe area) .
It is happening that everytime I switch on the basement dimmer light, happen some "sparks" with the black main cable that goes to the main breaker. When this happen some lights and outlets go off in the basement and living room.
When I bought the T/H 5 years ago, the inspector suggested to change the box at some time, he forecasted I will have "problems" in the future. Is this happening now...?
I went today to Home Depot and took a look to the different brands. The electrical ayle assistant suggest to just replace the faulty breaker (if so is / are) but my thoughts is to replace all the old box with a new one, since this are not too expensive.
I do not know how difficult for you guys will be to take out and put a new one and how much (average) will cost......
I hope you have a better picture now.
Thank you
Alfred.

Hello all,
I installed a gate to my pool and the hole the contractor dug, pierced my electrical line to my backyard pool pump house. I used an extension cord all last year and prefer not to do it again. Anyways, require to install a new line from the breaker inside my house to the pump house. I actually would like to run 2 lines from my breaker panel to the outside of my house. One to the front and one to the pool pump house. The panel is located in the upper front of the house. There are power lines installed already, but do not work. Not sure if this is in relation to the fence installation. The lines have never worked though. That said, a line to the front would be about 30, and the line to the back would approximately be 100'. I would need to drill 2 holes from my house, one in the middle and on in the back portion. I live in a semi-detached home. The line to the back might have a few challenges, but I will try to prep the line as to save time. Minor digging, and possible deck concerns.
Thanks.

Hello,
I am looking to have 5 or 6 potlights installed in the living room of my 2 year old home. There is a light fixture currently set up in the centre of the room, so I presume the existing wiring can be leveraged. The ceiling is of the sprayed plaster material. Pretty simple project -- but I want it done by a professional rather the doing it myself.
Hi,
I am looking for a electircian to install 26 potlights and housing in my home in my open basement (drop ceiling). the housing will need to be drop from the joist and reinforce. Most of the wiring is already done but additional 8 wiring lines for 8 potlights may be needed. The housing are Liteline RF401L if this helps.
I have given you as much information as possible. Please let me know your cost, if reasonable then you can see the job for a exact quote. Please let me know your experience and how soon you can do it.
I have all the lights and housing.
PS: Please be fair with the esitmate, I had a couple of people that quoted so low (I should have guess) and they wanted to do the work and when we went to finalizing the details suddently they wanted to charge double the amount.. I do not want to waste your time or mine.
Thank you.
Doris
