This job contains two major parts: Installing Hardwood on Staircase and Installing Hardwood Flooring
Hardwood on Staircase

- install new thread (and risers) and stain on one-additional stair by the entrance of the house
- re-install hand railing or put up new railings (optional) - it would be nice if you are able to put up new railings, but we have not decided on this yet
- installing plank/hardwood and nosing on upstairs landing
- the contractor will have to provide the material for this part of the project
Hardwood Flooring
- remove carpet (optional)
- about 1000 sq ft

Looking for:
Great Customer Service, Excellent Craftsmanship and Quality Work, and Reasonable Price
THANK YOU!!
I have a 2 storey 3-bedroom home and am looking at having hardwood flooring installed possibly throughout the house (except the basement). There are two sets of about 13 stairs each and railings to consider as well as 3 regular size bedrooms and a family room. The family room is about 15' - 20' . The house is about 25 years old but well maintained and clean. I don't want the highest quality of hardwood or the cheapest either so middle of the road and a medium colour. I would consider a good quality laminate too.
I need to have approximately 2100 square feet of hardwood installed. It will be 3/4" solid wood.
I need to refinish the staircase to match the hardwood. The stairs need to match the hardwood and looking to have the risers and sides painted white.
Hope to have the spindles painted white or replaced to wrought iron if the price is right. Would like to replace the post at the top of the stairs to a square contemporary one.
Total of 15 stairs
Total of 53 spindles
Thanks,
Tharsan

I would like a rough price on you supplying all materials for 2 choices, harwood flooring or ceramic tiling my condo everywhere but not the kitchen, bedrooms, or bathrooms. So ideally the front hallway, living, dining room which is one room and the solarium which is attached. The enitre condo is 1108 sq.ft including all rooms so the area would be smaller than this. You would have to remove and dispose of the existing carpet that is there. Tiles and hardwood can be whatever you suggest, nice but economical. I am just tired of the light carpet getting soiled looking.
I was told by the condo corp. that cork must be laid down if doing hardwood for noise, not sure if that would apply to tiling as well? I would have to confirm this is still necessary. Please advise separately what price would be to include cork.
In my hallway on the second floor I currently have carpet. I want to replace that with hardwood. Area is about 280 sq. foot. We would need to install quarter round as well. The hardwood that I have downstairs is Bruce Cherry (CB 1218). I want the same or something matching in colour.

Plan to replace the carpet on 2nd floor. Combined 550-650 sq ft. Below is an overview
- Bedroom 1 : 14' x 14'
- Bedroom 2 : 16' x 10'
- Bedroom 3 : 11' x 10'
- Hallway : 12' x 3'
- Stairs : 12
- Landing area (halfway up the stairs) : 6' x 2'
Also plan to replace the handrail and stair railings. Based on current setup, expect 2 big posts & ~10 stair railings.
Planning to buy hardwood separately, but may consider one source if the combined estimate from any Pro is attractive enough.

I have attached a picture of the floor plan and hallway to give you an idea of the baseboards etc. total square footage is 570 sq. ft. We have purchased the hardwood already and need an installer.
