This is a 30 yr old home we just purchased which has carpet throughout. There is approx 1000 sq ft. of space to be covered. The first floor is a combined living & dinning rm & hallway leading up to 3 bedrooms, and another one a few ft of the hall way. This home is a backsplit.
We would like the whole project to incorporate the hardwood and materials to do the job, we would pick the color of the hard wood. We have a budget of no more than 7-10k. We would pull up the existing carpeting to save labour charges (as mentioned we have a budget & do not want to go over it. If you can do the job and keep within a budget - you may be the contractor for this job. Our house closing date is on Jan 26th & we want to move in as quickly as possible which is why the job would have to start at the end of Jan or as soon as the house closing is complete.
If you can do this job in a few days and have references of previous jobs, that is what we are looking for.
I'm looking for someone to install vinyl plank OR laminate flooring on top of an existing raised plywood underfloor.
One room. Room is not very large. It's roughly half of the basement in a semi-detached.
The person will need to be able to properly judge the amount of supplies needed so we don't have tons of excess. Must have experience and be willing to provide references.
Hoping to have this installed by May 6th.
When responding please let us know what experience you have and what other types of projects you've done.
Thanks.
The sq footage for the hallway and living room is approximately 345 sq ft.
Basement stairs and landing. 7 stairs.
Stairs going up to the second floor. 11 steps and two landings.
The house is a townhouse about 14-years old, in good condition.
I would prefer hardwood, but depending on the cost, as I am on a budget, I may go for laminate. So ideally I woudl like quotes for both types of flooring.

HI,
I am looking for someone to help me with the installation of laminate in the basement along with fixing the baseboards. It is not too much work and i can help with the installation. (have done it before but am skeptical to do it all by myself).
The area is around 350 sq. ft. and i will be able to provide the laminate and the underpad.
We have removed the all the carpet in our home which was laid over an existing oak hardwood floor. We are not in favour of removing the old hardwood floor so we would like to install a new engineered click hardwood floor over the old floor. We understand this can be done. We have selected a replacement 1/2' engineered hardwood although we haven't finalized the order. The area to be covered with the new hardwood (including closet space) is 1146 sq. ft. This covers a central hall and five rooms. We would like to know what is involved in the installation and the approximate cost for the project.
Replacement of the old baseboards is also required (332 linear feet including closets). We would also like to know the approximate cost for this as well.

Hi,
How are you?
My name is Raj and looking to renovate my condo near sq1 in Mississauga.
Just looking for a quick estimate for granite. This is a drawing of our counter top measurements.
Please take a look at the picture.
Kitchen full granite counter-top. (Colour black galaxy, black with speckles of gold). Including plumbing and taps.
Also, we are looking for 480 sqft 12.3mm laminate flooring, with a 5-6mm cork under-padding. Very dark chocolate color. You would need to rip out the existing carpet and dispose of all materials.
If you could give me your best price that would be great on either or both that would be great.
Thanks!

I want Laminate Floor to be installed on my first floor.
Currently its carpeted, so it would INCLUDE the removal of the existing carpet also.
The approximate area is 800 Sq. Feet.
It includes 3 Bedrooms and the 3 Closets which come with it, and a small passage between them.
I also have a staircase with 14 steps, which is carpeted, so I need to remove the carpet on it. Not sure if you can install laminate on the stairs or if has to be something else. The stairs ALSO have to be done.
So with labour + Material, I needed a quote for all the above. Also the approximate time frame for the job to be done.
I am fine with 8mm laminate.
Thanks

Hello,
I'm interested in receiving a free quote for some basement work. I simply want to put in new laminate flooring (there is old laminate now). I am uncertain of the area, however I believe it is around 450 square'. I also want to re-tile the basement shower. I might re-tile the whole bathroom depending on the price.
I only need a price for labour, I will supply the materials: laminate and tiles.
Thank you,
Debora
